< Matthew 18 >
1 In that same time the disciples came to Jesus and said, “Who is greatest in the kingdom of heaven?”
ⲁ̅ϩⲛ ⲧⲉⲩⲛⲟⲩ ⲉⲧⲙⲙⲁⲩ ⲁⲙⲙⲁⲑⲏⲧⲏⲥ ϯⲡⲉⲩⲟⲩⲟⲓ ⲉⲓⲏⲥ ⲉⲩϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲁⲣⲁ ⲡⲉ ⲡⲛⲟϭ ϩⲛ ⲧⲙⲛⲧⲣⲣⲟ ⲛⲙⲡⲏⲩⲉ
2 Jesus called to himself a little child, set him among them,
ⲃ̅ⲁϥⲙⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲇⲉ ⲛϭⲓ ⲓⲏⲥ ⲉⲩϣⲏⲣⲉ ϣⲏⲙ ⲁϥⲧⲁϩⲟϥ ⲉⲣⲁⲧϥ ϩⲛ ⲧⲉⲩⲙⲏⲧⲉ
3 and said, “Truly I say to you, unless you turn and become like little children, you will in no way enter the kingdom of heaven.
ⲅ̅ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲛⲁⲩ ϫⲉ ϩⲁⲙⲏⲛ ϯϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ⲛⲏⲧⲛ ϫⲉ ⲉⲓ ⲙⲏⲧⲓ ⲛⲧⲉⲧⲛⲕⲉⲧ ⲧⲏⲩⲧⲛ ⲛⲧⲉⲧⲛⲣ ⲑⲉ ⲛⲛⲉⲓϣⲏⲣⲉ ϣⲏⲙ ⲛⲛⲉⲧⲛⲃⲱⲕ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲉⲧⲙⲛⲧⲣⲣⲟ ⲛⲙⲡⲏⲩⲉ
4 Therefore, whoever humbles himself like this little child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.
ⲇ̅ⲡⲉⲧⲛⲁⲑⲃⲃⲓⲟϥ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲑⲉ ⲙⲡⲓϣⲏⲣⲉ ϣⲏⲙ ⲡⲁⲓ ⲡⲉ ⲡⲛⲟϭ ϩⲛ ⲧⲙⲛⲧⲣⲣⲟ ⲛⲙⲡⲏⲩⲉ

6 But whoever causes one of these little ones who believes in me to sin, it would be better for him that a great millstone should be hung about his neck, and that he should be sunk into the depths of the sea.

9 If your eye causes you to stumble, pluck it out and throw it away from you. It is better for you to enter into life with one eye than to be thrown into the eternal fire having both eyes. (Geenna )

10 See that you do not despise any of these little ones. For I say to you that in heaven their angels always look on the face of my Father who is in heaven.

12 What do you think? If anyone has a hundred sheep, and one of them goes astray, does he not leave the ninety-nine on the hillside and go off seeking the one that went astray?

14 In the same way, it is not the will of your Father in heaven that one of these little ones should perish.

19 Again I say to you, if two of you agree on earth about anything they ask, it will be done for them by my Father who is in heaven.

21 Then Peter came and said to Jesus, “Lord, how often will my brother sin against me and I forgive him? Until seven times?”

23 Therefore the kingdom of heaven is similar to a certain king who wanted to settle accounts with his servants.
ⲕ̅ⲅ̅ⲉⲧⲃⲉ ⲡⲁⲓ ⲉⲥⲧⲛⲧⲱⲛ ⲛϭⲓ ⲧⲙⲛⲧⲣⲣⲟ ⲛⲙⲡⲏⲩⲉ ⲉⲩⲣⲱⲙⲉ ⲛⲣⲣⲟ ⲡⲁⲓ ⲛⲧⲁϥⲟⲩⲱϣ ⲉϥⲓⲱⲡ ⲙⲛ ⲛⲉϥϩⲙϩⲁⲗ
24 As he began the settling, one servant was brought to him who owed him ten thousand talents.

25 But since he had not the means to repay, his master commanded him to be sold, together with his wife and children and everything that he had, and payment to be made.
ⲕ̅ⲉ̅ⲉⲙⲛⲧⲁϥⲥⲉ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲧⲁⲁⲩ ⲁϥⲟⲩⲉϩⲥⲁϩⲛⲉ ⲇⲉ ⲛϭⲓ ⲡⲉϥϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲉⲧⲣⲉⲩⲧⲁⲁϥ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲙⲛ ⲧⲉϥⲥϩⲓⲙⲉ ⲙⲛ ⲛⲉϥϣⲏⲣⲉ ⲙⲛ ⲛⲕⲁ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲉⲧⲛⲧⲁϥ ⲛϥⲧⲁⲁⲩ
26 So the servant fell down, bowed down before him, and said, 'Master, have patience with me, and I will pay you everything.'

27 So the master of that servant, since he was moved with compassion, released him and forgave him the debt.

28 But that servant went out and found one of his fellow servants, who owed him one hundred denarii. He grasped him, took him by the throat, and said, 'Pay me what you owe.'

30 But the first servant refused. Instead, he went and threw him into prison until he should pay him what he owed.
