< Mark 2 >

1 When he came back to Capernaum after a few days, it was heard that he was at home.
Ni nazetto maw laemh pacoengah, anih loe Kapernuam vangpui ah akun let; anih im ah angzoh ti, tiah kaminawk mah thaih o.
2 So many gathered there that there was no more space, not even at the door, and Jesus spoke the word to them.
Akra ai ah paroeai kaminawk nawnto amkhueng o, nihcae oh han ih ahmuen om ai khoek to kami to pop o, thok taeng khoek to ahmuen kong ai: anih mah to kaminawk khaeah lokthuih pae.
3 Then some men came to him who were bringing a paralyzed man; four people were carrying him.
To naah khok ban angtawt thai ai nathaih tawn kami maeto loe, kami long palito mah angzawn o moe, anih khaeah angzoh o haih.
4 When they could not get near him because of the crowd, they removed the roof that was above Jesus, and after they made an opening, they lowered the bed the paralyzed man was lying on.
Kami pop o parai pongah to kaminawk loe anih taengah pha o thai ai, to naah nihcae mah anih ohhaih ahmuen thuem ah, imphu to phraek o moe, khok ban angtawt thai ai nathaih tawn kami to angsonghaih iihkhun hoi nawnto pakhrak o tathuk.
5 Seeing their faith, Jesus said to the paralyzed man, “Son, your sins are forgiven.”
Jesu mah nihcae tanghaih to hnuk naah, khok ban angtawt thai ai nathaih tawn kami khaeah, Ka capa, na zaehaihnawk loe tahmen boeh, tiah a naa.
6 Now some of the scribes were sitting there, and they reasoned in their hearts,
Thoemto ca tarik kaminawk doeh to ahmuen ah anghnut o toeng, angmacae palung thung hoiah,
7 “How can this man speak this way? He blasphemes! Who can forgive sins but God alone?”
tipongah hae kami mah Sithaw ih ahmin kasae thuih vai? Sithaw khue ai ah loe mi mah maw zae tahmen thai tih, tiah poek o.
8 Immediately Jesus knew in his spirit what they were thinking among themselves. He said to them, “Why are you thinking this in your hearts?
Nihcae poekhaih to Jesu mah palung thung hoiah panoek pae naah, nihcae khaeah, Tikhoe to tiah na poek o loe?
9 What is easier to say to the paralyzed man, 'Your sins are forgiven' or to say 'Get up, take up your bed, and walk'?
Khok ban angtawt thai ai nathaih tawn kami khaeah, Na zaehaihnawk loe tahmen boeh, tiah thuih maw kazoi kue, to tih ai boeh loe angthawk ah, baih ih kahni to la ah loe, caeh ah, tiah thuih ih lok? tiah a naa.
10 But in order that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins,” he said to the paralytic,
Toe Kami Capa loe long nuiah zaehaihnawk tahmen thaihaih to a tawnh, tito na panoek o thai hanah (anih mah khok ban angtawt thai ai nathaih tawn kami khaeah, )
11 “I say to you, get up, take up your mat, and go to your house.”
kang thuih o, Angthawk ah, baih ih kahni to la ah loe, nangmah im ah caeh ah, tiah a naa.
12 He got up and immediately took up the mat, and went out of the house in front of everyone, so that they were all amazed and they gave glory to God, and they said, “We never saw anything like this.”
Anih loe angthawk phrat moe, a baih ih kahni to lak pacoengah, nihcae boih hma ah caeh; to ah kaom kaminawk boih dawnrai o, hae baktih hmuen ka hnu o vai ai, tiah a thuih o moe, Sithaw to saphaw o.
13 He went out again by the lake, and all the crowd came to him, and he taught them.
To pacoengah anih loe tuipui taengah caeh let; to naah paroeai kaminawk anih khaeah angzoh o, nihcae to anih mah patuk.
14 As he passed by, he saw Levi son of Alphaeus sitting at the tax collector's tent and he said to him, “Follow me.” He got up and followed him.

Jesu anih im ah buhcaak han anghnut naah, tamut cong kaminawk, kazae kaminawk, a hnukbang kaminawk loe Jesu hoi nawnto anghnut o: pop parai kaminawk anih hnukah bang o.
16 When the scribes, who were Pharisees, saw that Jesus was eating with the sinful people and tax collectors, they said to his disciples, “Why does he eat with tax collectors and sinful people?”
Kazae kaminawk, tamut cong kaminawk hoi nawnto buh kacaa Anih to, ca tarik kaminawk hoi Farasinawk mah hnuk o, to naah nihcae mah a hnukbang kaminawk khaeah, Tipongah anih loe kazae kaminawk, tamut cong kaminawk hoi nawnto buh a caak loe? tiah a naa o.
17 When Jesus heard this he said to them, “People who are strong in body do not need a physician; only people who are sick need one. I did not come to call righteous people, but sinful people.”
Jesu mah to lok to thaih naah, anih mah nihcae khaeah, Ngantui kaminawk loe siboi angai ai, nganna kaminawk mah ni angaih: kai loe katoeng kaminawk kawk hanah kang zo ai, kazae kaminawk dawnpakhuemsak hanah ni kang zoh, tiah a naa.
18 Now John's disciples and the Pharisees were fasting. Some people came and said to him, “Why do John's disciples and the disciples of the Pharisees fast, but your disciples do not fast?”
Johan hnukbang kaminawk hoi Farasinawk loe buh zah o: nihcae loe angzoh o moe, Anih khaeah, Johan hoi Farasi hnukbang kaminawk loe buhzah o, toe tipongah na hnukbang kaminawk loe buh zaa o ai loe? tiah a naa o.
19 Jesus said to them, “Can the wedding attendants fast while the bridegroom is still with them? As long as they have the bridegroom with them, they cannot fast.
Jesu mah nihcae khaeah, Zu la kami oh nathuem ah, zu la kami ih ampuinawk mah buh to zaa o tih maw? Zu la kami oh nathung nihcae mah buh zaa o thai mak ai.
20 But the days will come when the bridegroom will be taken away from them, and in those days, they will fast.
Toe nihcae khae hoi zulakung lak vinghaih ni to om tih, to aninawk to phak naah loe nihcae mah buh to zaa o tih.
21 No man sews a piece of new cloth on an old garment, otherwise the patch will tear away from it, the new from the old, and there will be a worse tear.
Mi mah doeh kahni kangquem to kangtha hoiah abu vai ai: to tiah abu nahaeloe kahni ngan kangtha mah kangquem to azuk ueloe, prawn aep tih.
22 No man puts new wine into old wineskins, otherwise the wine will burst the skins and both the wine and the wineskins will be lost. Instead, put new wine into fresh wineskins.”

23 On the Sabbath day Jesus went through some grainfields, and his disciples began to pick heads of grain.
Anih loe Sabbath niah lawk ah caeh; a caeh o nathuem ah, a hnukbang kaminawk mah cangqui to takoih o.
24 The Pharisees said to him, “Look, why are they doing something that is not lawful on the Sabbath day?”
To naah Farasinawk mah anih khaeah, Khenah, tikhoe Sabbath niah sak han koi ai hmuennawk to na hnukbang kaminawk mah a sak o loe? tiah a naa o.
25 He said to them, “Have you never read what David did when he was in need and hungry—he and the men who were with him—
Anih mah nihcae khaeah, David mah zok amthlam naah, angaihaih baktiah, angmah hoi nawnto kaom kaminawk mah timaw sak o, tito na kroek o vai ai maw?
26 how he went into the house of God when Abiathar was high priest, and ate the bread of the presence, which it is unlawful for anyone to eat except the priests, and he even gave some to those who were with him?”
Kalen koek qaima Abiathar toksak nathuem ah, anih mah Sithaw imthung ah akun moe, kalen koek qaimanawk khue mah caak han koi, takaw to caak khue khawt ai ah, angmah hoi nawnto kaom kaminawk hanah doeh a paek to loe, tiah a naa.
27 Jesus said, “The Sabbath was made for mankind, not mankind for the Sabbath.
Anih mah nihcae khaeah, Sabbath loe kami hanah ni sak, kami loe Sabbath hanah sah ai.
28 Therefore, the Son of Man is Lord, even of the Sabbath.”
To pongah Kami Capa loe Sabbath Angraeng ah doeh oh, tiah a naa.
