Mark 1
1 This is the beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God.
ईश्वरपुत्रस्य यीशुख्रीष्टस्य सुसंवादारम्भः।
2 As it is written in Isaiah the prophet, “Look, I am sending my messenger before your face, the one who will prepare your way.
भविष्यद्वादिनां ग्रन्थेषु लिपिरित्थमास्ते, पश्य स्वकीयदूतन्तु तवाग्रे प्रेषयाम्यहम्। गत्वा त्वदीयपन्थानं स हि परिष्करिष्यति।
3 The voice of one calling out in the wilderness, 'Make ready the way of the Lord; make his paths straight.'”
"परमेशस्य पन्थानं परिष्कुरुत सर्व्वतः। तस्य राजपथञ्चैव समानं कुरुताधुना।" इत्येतत् प्रान्तरे वाक्यं वदतः कस्यचिद्रवः॥
4 John came, baptizing in the wilderness and preaching a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins.
सएव योहन् प्रान्तरे मज्जितवान् तथा पापमार्जननिमित्तं मनोव्यावर्त्तकमज्जनस्य कथाञ्च प्रचारितवान्।
5 The whole country of Judea and all the people of Jerusalem went out to him. They were baptized by him in the Jordan River, confessing their sins.
ततो यिहूदादेशयिरूशालम्नगरनिवासिनः सर्व्वे लोका बहि र्भूत्वा तस्य समीपमागत्य स्वानि स्वानि पापान्यङ्गीकृत्य यर्द्दननद्यां तेन मज्जिता बभूवुः।
6 John was wearing a coat of camel's hair and a leather belt around his waist, and he was eating locusts and wild honey.
अस्य योहनः परिधेयानि क्रमेलकलोमजानि, तस्य कटिबन्धनं चर्म्मजातम्, तस्य भक्ष्याणि च शूककीटा वन्यमधूनि चासन्।
7 He proclaimed, “One will come after me who is more powerful than I; the strap of his sandals I am not worthy to stoop down and untie.
स प्रचारयन् कथयाञ्चक्रे, अहं नम्रीभूय यस्य पादुकाबन्धनं मोचयितुमपि न योग्योस्मि, तादृशो मत्तो गुरुतर एकः पुरुषो मत्पश्चादागच्छति।
8 I baptized you with water, but he will baptize you with the Holy Spirit.”
अहं युष्मान् जले मज्जितवान् किन्तु स पवित्र आत्मानि संमज्जयिष्यति।
9 It happened in those days that Jesus came from Nazareth in Galilee, and he was baptized by John in the Jordan River.
अपरञ्च तस्मिन्नेव काले गालील्प्रदेशस्य नासरद्ग्रामाद् यीशुरागत्य योहना यर्द्दननद्यां मज्जितोऽभूत्।
10 As Jesus came up out of the water, he saw the heavens split open and the Spirit coming down on him like a dove.
स जलादुत्थितमात्रो मेघद्वारं मुक्तं कपोतवत् स्वस्योपरि अवरोहन्तमात्मानञ्च दृष्टवान्।
11 A voice came out of the heavens, “You are my beloved Son. I am very pleased with you.”
त्वं मम प्रियः पुत्रस्त्वय्येव मममहासन्तोष इयमाकाशीया वाणी बभूव।
12 Then the Spirit compelled him to go out into the wilderness.
तस्मिन् काले आत्मा तं प्रान्तरमध्यं निनाय।
13 He was in the wilderness forty days, being tempted by Satan. He was with the wild animals, and the angels served him.
अथ स चत्वारिंशद्दिनानि तस्मिन् स्थाने वन्यपशुभिः सह तिष्ठन् शैताना परीक्षितः; पश्चात् स्वर्गीयदूतास्तं सिषेविरे।
14 Now after John was arrested, Jesus came into Galilee proclaiming the gospel of God.
अनन्तरं योहनि बन्धनालये बद्धे सति यीशु र्गालील्प्रदेशमागत्य ईश्वरराज्यस्य सुसंवादं प्रचारयन् कथयामास,
15 He said, “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is near. Repent and believe in the gospel.”
कालः सम्पूर्ण ईश्वरराज्यञ्च समीपमागतं; अतोहेतो र्यूयं मनांसि व्यावर्त्तयध्वं सुसंवादे च विश्वासित।
16 When he was walking beside the Sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and Andrew the brother of Simon casting a net in the sea, for they were fishermen.
तदनन्तरं स गालीलीयसमुद्रस्य तीरे गच्छन् शिमोन् तस्य भ्राता अन्द्रियनामा च इमौ द्वौ जनौ मत्स्यधारिणौ सागरमध्ये जालं प्रक्षिपन्तौ दृष्ट्वा ताववदत्,
17 Jesus said to them, “Come, follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.”
युवां मम पश्चादागच्छतं, युवामहं मनुष्यधारिणौ करिष्यामि।
18 Then immediately they left the nets and followed him.
ततस्तौ तत्क्षणमेव जालानि परित्यज्य तस्य पश्चात् जग्मतुः।
19 As Jesus was walking on a little farther, he saw James son of Zebedee and John his brother; they were in the boat mending the nets.
ततः परं तत्स्थानात् किञ्चिद् दूरं गत्वा स सिवदीपुत्रयाकूब् तद्भ्रातृयोहन् च इमौ नौकायां जालानां जीर्णमुद्धारयन्तौ दृष्ट्वा तावाहूयत्।
20 He called them and they left their father Zebedee in the boat with the hired servants, and they followed him.
ततस्तौ नौकायां वेतनभुग्भिः सहितं स्वपितरं विहाय तत्पश्चादीयतुः।
21 Then they came into Capernaum, and on the Sabbath, Jesus went into the synagogue and taught.
ततः परं कफर्नाहूम्नामकं नगरमुपस्थाय स विश्रामदिवसे भजनग्रहं प्रविश्य समुपदिदेश।
22 They were astonished at his teaching, for he was teaching them as someone who has authority and not as the scribes.
तस्योपदेशाल्लोका आश्चर्य्यं मेनिरे यतः सोध्यापकाइव नोपदिशन् प्रभाववानिव प्रोपदिदेश।
23 Just then a man in their synagogue who had an unclean spirit cried out,
अपरञ्च तस्मिन् भजनगृहे अपवित्रभूतेन ग्रस्त एको मानुष आसीत्। स चीत्शब्दं कृत्वा कथयाञ्चके
24 saying, “What do we have to do with you, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are. You are the Holy One of God!”
भो नासरतीय यीशो त्वमस्मान् त्यज, त्वया सहास्माकं कः सम्बन्धः? त्वं किमस्मान् नाशयितुं समागतः? त्वमीश्वरस्य पवित्रलोक इत्यहं जानामि।
25 Jesus rebuked the demon and said, “Be quiet and come out of him!”
तदा यीशुस्तं तर्जयित्वा जगाद तूष्णीं भव इतो बहिर्भव च।
26 The unclean spirit threw him down and went out from him while crying out with a loud voice.
ततः सोऽपवित्रभूतस्तं सम्पीड्य अत्युचैश्चीत्कृत्य निर्जगाम।
27 All the people were amazed, so they asked each other, “What is this? A new teaching with authority? He even commands the unclean spirits and they obey him!”
तेनैव सर्व्वे चमत्कृत्य परस्परं कथयाञ्चक्रिरे, अहो किमिदं? कीदृशोऽयं नव्य उपदेशः? अनेन प्रभावेनापवित्रभूतेष्वाज्ञापितेषु ते तदाज्ञानुवर्त्तिनो भवन्ति।
28 The news about him went out everywhere into the whole region of Galilee.
तदा तस्य यशो गालीलश्चतुर्दिक्स्थसर्व्वदेशान् व्याप्नोत्।
29 After coming out of the synagogue, they came into the house of Simon and Andrew, along with James and John.
अपरञ्च ते भजनगृहाद् बहि र्भूत्वा याकूब्योहन्भ्यां सह शिमोन आन्द्रियस्य च निवेशनं प्रविविशुः।
30 Now Simon's mother-in-law was lying sick with a fever, and they told Jesus about her.
तदा पितरस्य श्वश्रूर्ज्वरपीडिता शय्यायामास्त इति ते तं झटिति विज्ञापयाञ्चक्रुः।
31 So he came, took her by the hand, and raised her up; the fever left her, and she started serving them.
ततः स आगत्य तस्या हस्तं धृत्वा तामुदस्थापयत्; तदैव तां ज्वरोऽत्याक्षीत् ततः परं सा तान् सिषेवे।
32 That evening, after the sun had set, they brought to him all who were sick or possessed by demons.
अथास्तं गते रवौ सन्ध्याकाले सति लोकास्तत्समीपं सर्व्वान् रोगिणो भूतधृतांश्च समानिन्युः।
33 The whole city gathered together at the door.
सर्व्वे नागरिका लोका द्वारि संमिलिताश्च।
34 He healed many who were sick with various diseases and cast out many demons, but he did not allow the demons to speak because they knew him.
ततः स नानाविधरोगिणो बहून् मनुजानरोगिणश्चकार तथा बहून् भूतान् त्याजयाञ्चकार तान् भूतान् किमपि वाक्यं वक्तुं निषिषेध च यतोहेतोस्ते तमजानन्।
35 He got up very early, while it was still dark; he left and went out into a solitary place and there he prayed.
अपरञ्च सोऽतिप्रत्यूषे वस्तुतस्तु रात्रिशेषे समुत्थाय बहिर्भूय निर्जनं स्थानं गत्वा तत्र प्रार्थयाञ्चक्रे।
36 Simon and those who were with him searched for him.
अनन्तरं शिमोन् तत्सङ्गिनश्च तस्य पश्चाद् गतवन्तः।
37 They found him and they said to him, “Everyone is looking for you.”
तदुद्देशं प्राप्य तमवदन् सर्व्वे लोकास्त्वां मृगयन्ते।
38 He said, “Let us go elsewhere, out into the surrounding towns, so that I may preach there also. That is why I came out here.”
तदा सोऽकथयत् आगच्छत वयं समीपस्थानि नगराणि यामः, यतोऽहं तत्र कथां प्रचारयितुं बहिरागमम्।
39 He went throughout all of Galilee, preaching in their synagogues and casting out demons.
अथ स तेषां गालील्प्रदेशस्य सर्व्वेषु भजनगृहेषु कथाः प्रचारयाञ्चक्रे भूतानत्याजयञ्च।
40 A leper came to him. He was begging him; he knelt down and said to him, “If you are willing, you can make me clean.”
अनन्तरमेकः कुष्ठी समागत्य तत्सम्मुखे जानुपातं विनयञ्च कृत्वा कथितवान् यदि भवान् इच्छति तर्हि मां परिष्कर्त्तुं शक्नोति।
41 Moved with compassion, Jesus reached out his hand and touched him, saying to him, “I am willing. Be clean.”
ततः कृपालु र्यीशुः करौ प्रसार्य्य तं स्पष्ट्वा कथयामास
42 Immediately the leprosy left him, and he was made clean.
ममेच्छा विद्यते त्वं परिष्कृतो भव। एतत्कथायाः कथनमात्रात् स कुष्ठी रोगान्मुक्तः परिष्कृतोऽभवत्।
43 Jesus strictly warned him and sent him away.
तदा स तं विसृजन् गाढमादिश्य जगाद
44 He said to him, “Be sure to say nothing to anyone, but go, show yourself to the priest, and offer for your cleansing what Moses commanded, as a testimony to them.”
सावधानो भव कथामिमां कमपि मा वद; स्वात्मानं याजकं दर्शय, लोकेभ्यः स्वपरिष्कृतेः प्रमाणदानाय मूसानिर्णीतं यद्दानं तदुत्सृजस्व च।
45 But he went out and began to spread the news widely, so much that Jesus could no longer enter a town openly but he stayed out in remote places. Yet people were still coming to him from everywhere.
किन्तु स गत्वा तत् कर्म्म इत्थं विस्तार्य्य प्रचारयितुं प्रारेभे तेनैव यीशुः पुनः सप्रकाशं नगरं प्रवेष्टुं नाशक्नोत् ततोहेतोर्बहिः काननस्थाने तस्यौ; तथापि चतुर्द्दिग्भ्यो लोकास्तस्य समीपमाययुः।
