< Luke 24 >
1 Very early on the first day of the week, they came to the tomb, bringing the spices which they had prepared.
Zvino nemusi wekutanga wevhiki, mambakwedza, vakauya kuguva, vakatakura zvinonhuhwira zvavakange vagadzirira, nevamwe vanavo.

3 They entered in, but did not find the body of the Lord Jesus.
Vakabva vapinda vakasawana mutumbi waIshe Jesu.
4 It happened that, while they were confused about this, suddenly, two men stood by them in bright shining robes.
Zvino vakati vakakanganiswa kwazvo nazvo, zvino tarira, varume vaviri vakamira navo vakapfeka nguvo dzinopenya;
5 As the women were filled with fear and bowed down their faces to the earth, they said to the women, “Why do you seek the living among the dead?

6 He is not here, but has been raised! Remember how he spoke to you when he was still in Galilee,
Haasi pano, asi wamuka; rangarirai kuti wakataura sei kwamuri achiri muGarirea,
7 saying that the Son of Man must be delivered up into the hands of sinful men and be crucified, and on the third day rise again.”
achiti: Mwanakomana wemunhu anofanira kukumikidzwa mumaoko evanhu vezvivi, nekurovererwa pamuchinjikwa, uye pazuva retatu amukezve.
8 The women remembered his words,
Zvino vakarangarira mashoko ake.

Zvino vakadzoka vachibva kuguva, vakaudza zvinhu izvi zvese kuvanegumi neumwe nekune vamwe vese.

12 Yet Peter rose up and ran to the tomb, and stooping and looking in, he saw the linen cloths by themselves. Peter then departed to his home, wondering what had happened.
Asi Petro wakasimuka akamhanyira kuguva; akakotama ndokutarira, akaona micheka yerineni yakaradzikwa yega; ndokuenda, ashamisika mukati make nezvakange zvaitika.
13 Behold, two of them were going that very day to a village named Emmaus, which was sixty stadia from Jerusalem.
Zvino tarira, pazuva iroro vaviri vavo vaifamba vachienda kumusha wainzi Emausi, wakange uri masitadhia makumi matanhatu kubva kuJerusarema.
14 They discussed with each other about all the things that had happened.

Zvino wakati kwavari: Mashoko ei awa amunokurukurirana muchifamba, uye makasuruvara?
18 One of them, named Cleopas, answered him, “Are you the only person in Jerusalem who does not know the things which have happened there these days?”
Umwe, wainzi Kiriyopasi, ndokupindura akati kwaari: Ndiwe wega mutorwa muJerusarema, uye hauziva zvakaitikamo mumazuva ano here?
19 Jesus said to them, “What things?” They answered him, “The things concerning Jesus the Nazarene, who was a prophet, mighty in deed and word before God and all the people,
Zvino akati kwavari: Zvinhui? Ivo vakati kwaari: Zviri maererano naJesu weNazareta, waiva murume muporofita ane simba pachiito nepashoko pamberi paMwari nevanhu vese;

Asi isu taivimba kuti ndiye waizodzikunura Israeri. Asiwo kunze kweizvi zvese, nhasi izuva retatu kubva zvaitika zvinhu izvi.
22 But also, some women of our company amazed us, having been at the tomb early in the morning.
Asi vamwewo vakadzi vekwedu vatishamisa, vanga vafumira kuguva;
23 When they did not find his body, they came, saying that they had also seen a vision of angels who said that he was alive.
zvino vati vasingawani mutumbi wake, vauya vachiti vaona chiratidzo chevatumwawo, vati mupenyu.
24 Some men who were with us went to the tomb, and found it just as the women had said. But they did not see him.”
Uye vamwe vevaiva nesu vaenda kuguva, vakawanawo zvakadaro vakadziwo sezvavakange vareva; asi iye havana kumuona.

26 Was it not necessary for the Christ to suffer these things, and to enter into his glory?”
Ko Kristu wakange asingafaniri kutambudzika nezvinhu izvi, ndokupinda pakubwinya kwake here?
27 Then beginning from Moses and through all the prophets, Jesus interpreted to them the things concerning himself in all the scriptures.
Ndokutanga kuna Mozisi nekuvaporofita vese, akadudzira kwavari mumagwaro ese zvinhu zviri maererano naye.
28 As they approached the village to which they were going, Jesus acted as though he were going further.

32 They said one to another, “Was not our heart burning within us, while he spoke to us on the way, while he opened to us the scriptures?”
Zvino vakataurirana vachiti: Moyo wedu wanga usingapisi mukati medu here paanga achitaura nesu munzira, nepaanga achitizarurira magwaro?
33 They rose up that very hour, and returned to Jerusalem. They found the eleven gathered together, and those who were with them,

Zvino akati kwavari: Munonetsekerei, uye mifungo inomukirei mumoyo yenyu?

43 and he took it and ate it before them.
Iye ndokutora akadya pamberi pavo.
44 He said to them, “When I was with you, I told you that all that was written in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms must be fulfilled.”
Zvino wakati kwavari: Awa mashoko andakataura kwamuri ndichiri nemwi, kuti zvinhu zvese zvinofanira kuzadziswa, zvakanyorwa pamurairo waMozisi, nepavaporofita nepaMapisarema maererano neni.

46 He said to them, “Thus it is written, that the Christ should suffer, and rise again from the dead on the third day.
Ndokuti kwavari: Zvakanyorwa saizvozvi, saizvozvowo zvakafanira Kristu kutambudzika, nekumuka kubva kuvakafa zuva retatu,
