Leviticus 24
1 Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,
El Señor le dijo a Moisés,
2 “Command the people of Israel to bring you pure oil beaten from olives to be used in the lamp, that the light may burn continually.
“Ordena a los israelitas que te traigan aceite de oliva puro y prensado para las lámparas, para que siempre estén encendidas.
3 Outside the curtain before the covenant decrees in the tent of meeting, Aaron must continually, from evening to morning, keep the lamp lit before Yahweh. This will be a permanent statute throughout your people's generations.
Desde la tarde hasta la mañana Aarón debe cuidar las lámparas continuamente ante el Señor, fuera del velo del Testimonio en el Tabernáculo de Reunión. Esta regulación es para todos los tiempos y para todas las generaciones futuras.
4 The high priest must always keep the lamps lit before Yahweh, the lamps on the lampstand of pure gold.
Debe cuidar constantemente las lámparas puestas en el candelabro de oro puro ante el Señor.
5 You must take fine flour and bake twelve loaves with it. There must be two-tenths of an ephah in each loaf.
“Usando la mejor harina hornea doce panes, con dos décimas de un efa de harina por cada pan.
6 Then you must set them in two rows, six in a row, on the table of pure gold before Yahweh.
Colócalos en dos pilas, seis en cada pila, sobre la mesa de oro puro que está delante del Señor.
7 You must put pure incense along each row of loaves as a representative offering. This incense will be burnt for Yahweh.
Poner incienso puro al lado de cada pila para que vaya con el pan y sirva de recordatorio, una ofrenda al Señor.
8 Every Sabbath day the high priest must regularly set out the bread before Yahweh on behalf of the people of Israel, as a sign of an everlasting covenant.
Cada sábado se pondrá el pan delante del Señor, dado por los israelitas como una señal continua del acuerdo eterno.
9 This offering will be for Aaron and his sons, and they are to eat it in a place that is holy, for it is a portion from the offerings to Yahweh made by fire.”
Es para Aarón y sus descendientes. Deben comerlo en un lugar santo, pues deben tratarlo como una parte santísima de las ofrendas de alimentos dadas al Señor. Es su parte de las ofrendas de comida para siempre”.
10 Now it happened that the son of an Israelite woman, whose father was an Egyptian, went among the people of Israel. This son of the Israelite woman fought against an Israelite man in the camp.
Un día un hombre que tenía una madre israelita y un padre egipcio entró en el campamento israelita y tuvo una pelea con un israelita.
11 The son of the Israelite woman blasphemed the name of Yahweh and cursed God, so the people brought him to Moses. His mother's name was Shelomith, the daughter of Dibri, from the tribe of Dan.
El hijo de la mujer israelita maldijo el nombre del Señor. Así que lo llevaron ante Moisés. (Su madre se llamaba Selomit, hija de Dibri, de la tribu de Dan).
12 They held him in custody until Yahweh himself should declare his will to them.
Lo detuvieron hasta que quedó claro lo que el Señor quería que hicieran al respecto.
13 Then Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,
El Señor le dijo a Moisés,
14 “Take the man who has cursed God outside the camp. All who heard him must lay their hands on his head, and then the entire assembly must stone him.
“Lleva al hombre que me maldijo fuera del campamento. Que todos los que le oyeron maldecir pongan sus manos sobre su cabeza; y que todos le apedreen hasta la muerte.
15 You must explain to the people of Israel and say, 'Whoever curses his God must carry his own guilt.
Diles a los israelitas que cualquiera que maldiga a su Dios será castigado por su pecado.
16 He who blasphemes the name of Yahweh must surely be put to death. All the assembly must certainly stone him, whether he is a foreigner or a native-born Israelite. If anyone blasphemes the name of Yahweh, he must be put to death.
Cualquiera que maldiga el nombre del Señor debe ser ejecutado. Todos ustedeslo apedrearán hasta la muerte, tanto si es un extranjero que vive con ustedes como si es un israelita. Si maldicen mi nombre, deben ser ejecutados.
17 If anyone strikes down another human being, he must certainly be put to death.
“Cualquiera que mate a alguien más debe ser ejecutado.
18 If anyone strikes down someone's animal, he must pay it back, life for life.
Cualquiera que mate a un animal tiene que reemplazarlo. Una vida por otra.
19 If anyone injures his neighbor, it must be done to him as he did to his neighbor:
Si alguien hiere a otra persona, lo que haya hecho debe serle hecho:
20 fracture for fracture, eye for eye, tooth for tooth. As he has caused an injury to a person, so must it also be done to him.
un hueso roto por un hueso roto, ojo por ojo, diente por diente. Sea cual sea la forma en que hayan herido a la víctima, se les debe hacer lo mismo.
21 Anyone who kills an animal must pay it back, and anyone who kills a person must be put to death.
Cualquiera que mate un animal tiene que reemplazarlo, pero cualquiera que mate a alguien más debe ser ejecutado.
22 You must have the same law for both the foreigner and the native-born Israelite, for I am Yahweh your God.'”
A los extranjeros que viven con ustedes se les aplican las mismas leyes que a los israelitas, porque yo soy el Señor su Dios”.
23 So Moses spoke to the people of Israel, and the people brought the man outside the camp, the one who had cursed Yahweh. They stoned him with stones. The people of Israel carried out the command of Yahweh to Moses.
Moisés dijo esto a los israelitas, y ellos llevaron al hombre que maldijo al Señor fuera del campamento y lo apedrearon hasta la muerte. Los israelitas hicieron lo que el Señor le ordenó a Moisés que hiciera.
