Lamentations 5
1 Remember, Yahweh, what has happened to us; look and see our disgrace.
౧యెహోవా, మాకు కలిగిన యాతన గుర్తు చేసుకో. మా మీదికి వచ్చిన అవమానం ఎలా ఉందో చూడు.
2 Our inheritance has been turned over to strangers; our houses to foreigners.
౨మా స్వాస్థ్యం పరదేశుల వశం అయ్యింది. మా ఇళ్ళు అన్యుల స్వాధీనం అయ్యాయి.
3 We have become orphans, the fatherless, and our mothers are like widows.
౩మేము అనాథలం అయ్యాం. తండ్రులు ఇంక లేరు. మా తల్లులు వితంతువుల్లా ఉన్నారు.
4 We must pay silver for the water we drink, and we must pay silver to get our own wood.
౪మా నీళ్లు మేము డబ్బుతో కొనుక్కుని తాగాం. మా కట్టెలు మాకే అమ్మారు.
5 Those who are coming after us are close behind us; we are weary and we can find no rest.
౫వాళ్ళు మమ్మల్ని తరిమారు. మేము అలసిపోయాం. మాకు విశ్రాంతి లేదు.
6 We have given ourselves to Egypt and to Assyria to get enough food.
౬అన్నం కోసం ఐగుప్తీయులకూ అష్షూరీయులకూ చెయ్యి చాపాం.
7 Our fathers sinned, and they are no more, and we bear their iniquities.
౭మా పితరులు పాపం చేసి చనిపోయారు. మేము వాళ్ళ పాపానికి శిక్ష అనుభవిస్తున్నాం.
8 Slaves rule over us, and there is no one to deliver us from their hand.
౮దాసులు మమ్మల్ని ఏలుతున్నారు. వాళ్ళ వశం నుంచి మమ్మల్ని విడిపించే వాళ్ళు ఎవరూ లేరు.
9 We get our bread only by risking our lives, because of the sword in the wilderness.
౯ఎడారి ప్రజల కత్తి భయంతో ప్రాణానికి తెగించి మా ఆహారం తెచ్చుకుంటున్నాం.
10 Our skin has grown as hot as an oven because of the burning heat of hunger.
౧౦కరువు తాపం వల్ల మా చర్మం పొయ్యిలా కాలిపోతోంది.
11 Women are raped in Zion, and virgins in the cities of Judah.
౧౧శత్రువులు సీయోనులో స్త్రీలను, యూదా పట్టణాల్లో కన్యకలను మానభంగం చేశారు.
12 Princes are hung up by their own hands, and no honor is shown to the elders.
౧౨అధిపతులను వాళ్ళు ఉరి తీశారు. పెద్దలను ఘనపరచలేదు.
13 Young men are forced to grind grain with a millstone, and boys stagger under heavy loads of wood.
౧౩బలమైన యువకులను గానుగల దగ్గరికి తీసుకొచ్చారు. యువకులు కొయ్య దుంగలు మొయ్యలేక తూలిపడ్డారు.
14 The elders have left the city gate, and the young men have left their music.
౧౪పెద్దలను గుమ్మాల దగ్గర కూర్చోకుండా తొలగించారు. యువకులను సంగీతం నుంచి దూరం చేశారు.
15 The joy of our heart has ceased and our dancing has turned into mourning.
౧౫మా గుండెల్లో ఆనందం అడుగంటింది. మా నాట్యం దుఃఖంగా మారిపోయింది.
16 The crown has fallen from our head; woe to us, for we have sinned!
౧౬మా తల మీద నుంచి కిరీటం పడిపోయింది! మేము పాపం చేశాం! మాకు బాధ!
17 For this our heart has become sick, for these things our eyes grow dim
౧౭మా గుండెలకు జబ్బు చేసింది. మా కళ్ళు మసకబారాయి.
18 for Mount Zion lies desolate, with jackals prowling over it.
౧౮సీయోను పర్వతం నిర్జీవంగా ఉంది. దాని మీద నక్కలు తిరుగులాడుతున్నాయి.
19 But you, Yahweh, reign forever, and you will sit upon your throne from generation to generation.
౧౯యెహోవా, నువ్వు నిత్యం పరిపాలిస్తావు. నీ సింహాసనం తరతరాలు ఉంటుంది.
20 Why do you forget us forever? Why do you forsake us for so many days?
౨౦నువ్వు మమ్మల్ని శాశ్వతంగా ఎందుకు మర్చిపోతావు? మమ్మల్ని శాశ్వతంగా విడిచిపెట్టేస్తావా?
21 Restore us to yourself, Yahweh, and we will be restored. Renew our days as they were long ago—
౨౧యెహోవా, నువ్వు మమ్మల్ని నీ వైపుకు మళ్ళీ తిప్పు. మేము తిరుగుతాం.
22 unless you have utterly rejected us and you are angry with us beyond measure.
౨౨నువ్వు మమ్మల్ని పూర్తిగా విడిచి పెట్టకపోతే, మా మీద నీకు విపరీతమైన కోపం లేకపోతే మా పూర్వస్థితి మళ్ళీ మాకు కలిగించు.
