< Lamentations 4 >
1 The gold has become tarnished; how the purest gold has changed! The holy stones are scattered at the corner of every street.
Saanen a narimat ti balitok; nagbaliwen ti kapupuroan a balitok. Naibukboken dagiti nasagradoan a batbato iti nagsasabatan dagiti kalsada.
2 The precious sons of Zion were worth their weight in pure gold, but now they are worth no more than clay jars, the work of the potter's hands!
Napateg unay idi dagiti annak ti Sion, napatpateg ngem iti puro a balitok. Ngem itan ket kaiyariganda laengen ti burnay nga inaramid ti agdamdamili.
3 Even the jackals offer the breast to nurse their cubs, but the daughter of my people has become cruel, like the ostriches in the desert.
Uray dagiti atap nga aso ket iparangda dagiti susoda tapno pasusoenda dagiti ukenda, ngem ti babai nga anak dagiti tattaok ket naranggas a maiyarig iti abestrus iti disierto.
4 The tongue of the nursing baby sticks to the roof of his mouth by thirst; the children ask for food, but there is none for them.
Dumket ti dila ti agsuso nga ubing iti ngangawna gapu iti pannakawawna, dumawat dagiti ubbing iti tinapay, ngem awan ti maited para kadakuada.
5 Those who used to feast on the finest food now starve in the streets. Those who were brought up wearing scarlet clothing now lie on piles of ashes.
Dagiti tattao a sigud a mangmangan iti agkakangina a taraon ket nabaybay-anen a mabisbisinan kadagiti kalsada; dagiti sigud nga agkawkawes iti nalabbaga a pagan-anay ket addan ita iti tuktok dagiti gabsuon dagiti basura.
6 The punishment of the daughter of my people is greater than that of Sodom, which was overthrown in a moment and no hands were wrung for her.
Ti nagbasolan ti babai nga anak dagiti tattaok ket dakdakkel ngem iti basol ti Sodoma, a naibelleng iti apagdarikmat uray no awan nangtiliw iti daytoy.
7 Her leaders were purer than snow, whiter than milk; their bodies were more ruddy than coral, their form was like sapphire.
Dagiti mangidadaulo kenkuana ket sigud a kasla nasileng a niebe ken kas kapudaw iti gatas. Nalablabbaga ti bagbagida ngem iti napintas a rubi iti baybay; kasla safiro ti sukogda.
8 Their appearance now is darker than soot; they are not recognized in the streets. Their skin has shriveled on their bones; it has become as dry as wood.
Ita ket pinangisiten ti kasipngetan dagiti langada, ket narigatdan a mabigbig kadagiti kalkalsada, ta dimketen dagiti kudilda kadagiti tultulangda. Nagangon daytoy a kas iti kayo!
9 Those who have been killed by the sword were happier than those killed by hunger, who wasted away, pierced by the lack of any harvest from the field.
Dagiti napapatay babaen iti kampilan ket am-amang a nasaysayaatda ngem dagiti natay gapu iti bisin; nasaysayaatda nga amang ngem kadagiti nakapsut; nga arigna a naduyok gapu iti bisin iti kinaawan ti apit kadagiti talon.
10 The hands of compassionate women have boiled their own children; they became their food during the time when the daughter of my people was being destroyed.
Inluto dagiti ima dagiti naasi a babbai dagiti mismo nga annakda; dagitoy nga ubbing ket nagbalin a taraonda kabayatan ti pannakarumek ti babai nga anak dagiti tattaok.
11 Yahweh showed all his wrath; he poured out his fierce anger. He kindled a fire in Zion that consumed her foundations.
Pinennek ni Yahweh ti pungtotna. Imbukbokna ti umap-apuy nga ungetna; kasla nangpasged isuna idiay Sion ket inkisap daytoy dagiti pundasionna.
12 The kings of the earth did not believe, nor did any of the inhabitants of the world believe, that enemies or opponents could enter the gates of Jerusalem.
Uray dagiti ari ditoy daga wenno ti siasinoman nga agnanaed iti daytoy a lubong ket saan a mamati nga adda makastrek a kasupiat ken kabusor kadagiti ruangan ti Jerusalem.
13 This happened because of the sins of her prophets and the iniquities of her priests who have shed the blood of the righteous in her midst.
Ngem inaramidda, gapu kadagiti basbasol dagiti profetana, ken kadagiti nagkurangan dagiti papadina a nangpasayasay iti dara dagiti nalilinteg.
14 They wandered, blind, through the streets. They were so defiled by that blood that no one was allowed to touch their clothes.
Agalla-alla itan dagidiay a profeta ken papadi a kas kadagiti bulsek kadagiti kalkalsada. Natulawandan babaen iti dayta a dara isu nga awan ti makabael nga uray mangsagid kadagiti kawesda.
15 “Away! Unclean!” people cried at them. “Away! Away! Do not touch!” So they wandered about; people said among the nations, “They can stay here no longer.”
“Panaw! Dakayo a narugit,” kastoy ti ipukpukkaw dagitoy a propeta ken papadi. “Pumanawkayo! Saandakami a sagsagiden!” Isu a nagalla-allada kadagiti nadumaduma a daga, ngem uray dagiti Hentil ket kunkunada, “Saandan a makapagnaed ditoy a kas ganggannaet.”
16 Yahweh himself scattered them; he does not watch over them anymore. They do not honor the priests, and they did not show any favor to the elders.
Inwaras ida ni Yahweh manipud iti imatangna, saanna idan a kakaasian. Awanen ti mangpasangbay nga addaan iti panagraem kadagiti papadi, ken ipakpakitada a saandan a kailalaan dagiti panglakayen.
17 Our eyes failed, looking in vain for help; from our watchtowers we watched for a nation that could not rescue us.
Kanayon a mapaay dagiti matami a makasarak iti awan kaaspingna a tulong, numan pay sigagagarda a nangkita iti nasion a saan met a mangisalakan kadakami.
18 They followed our steps, we could not walk in our streets. Our end was near and our days were numbered, our end had come.
Inan-anupda dagiti tugotmi kadagiti kalsada. Asidegen ti kanibusananmi ken mabilbilangen dagiti al-aldawmi, ta dimtengen ti panungpalanmi.
19 Our pursuers were swifter than the eagles in the sky. They chased us to the mountains and lay in wait for us in the wilderness.
Naparpartak dagiti mangkamkamat kadakami ngem dagiti agila iti tangatang. Inanupdakami agingga kadagiti banbantay sadakami pinadaanan iti let-ang.
20 The breath in our nostrils—Yahweh's anointed one—he was the one who was captured in their pits; of whom it was said, “Under his shadow we will live among the nations.”
Ti anges iti agongmi, ti dinutokan ni Yahweh - ti arimi, ket napalab-ogan babaen kadagiti abut; ti arimi a nangibagaanmi nga, “Agbiagkami kadagiti nasion iti babaen ti panangsalaknibna.”
21 Rejoice and be glad, daughter of Edom, you who live in the land of Uz. But to you also the cup will be passed; you will be drunk and strip yourself naked.
Agrag-o ken agragsakka, babai nga anak ti Edom nga agnanaed iti daga ti Us, ta maipasanto kenka ti kopa. Mabartekkanto ken silalamo-lamo.
22 Daughter of Zion, your punishment will come to an end; he will not extend your exile. But daughter of Edom, he will punish; he will uncover your sins.
Naggibusen ti dusam, babai nga anak ti Sion. Saannakan a paipanaw. Ngem dusaennaka iti nagbasolam, babai nga anak ti Edom. Lukaisannanto pay dagiti basbasolmo.
