Judges 7
1 Then Jerub Baal (that is, Gideon) rose up early, and all the people who were with him, and they encamped beside the spring of Harod. The camp of Midian was to their north in the valley near the hill of Moreh.
১যিৰুব্বাল অর্থাৎ গিদিয়োন আৰু তেওঁৰ লগত থকা সকলোৱে ৰাতিপুৱাতে উঠি হেৰোদ এলেকাৰ জুৰিৰ ওচৰত ছাউনি পাতিলে; তেওঁলোকৰ উত্তৰফালে মোৰি পাহাৰৰ ওচৰৰ উপত্যকা অঞ্চল মিদিয়নৰ আছিল।
2 Yahweh said to Gideon, “There are too many soldiers for me to give you victory over the Midianites, so that Israel may not boast over me, saying, 'Our own power has saved us.'
২যিহোৱাই গিদিয়োনক ক’লে, “তোমাৰ লোকসকলৰ সংখ্যা ইমান অধিক যে মই মিদিয়নীয়াসকলক তেওঁলোকৰ হাতত তুলি দিব নোৱাৰো; তেনে কৰিলে মোক বাদ দি ইস্ৰায়েলে অহংকাৰ কৰি ক’ব, ‘আমাৰ নিজৰ শক্তিৰেই আমি উদ্ধাৰ পালোঁ’।
3 Now therefore, proclaim in the ears of the people and say, 'Whoever is afraid, whoever trembles, let him return and depart from Mount Gilead.'” So twenty-two thousand people went away, and ten thousand remained.
৩সেয়ে লোকসকলৰ আগত এই কথা ঘোষণা কৰা, যিসকলে ভয় খাই কঁপি আছে, তেওঁলোকে গিলিয়দ পাহাৰ এৰি ঘৰলৈ উলটি যাওক; তাতে লোকসকলৰ মাজৰ পৰা বাইশ হাজাৰ লোক উভটি গ’ল কেৱল দহ হাজাৰ অৱশিষ্ট থাকিল।”
4 Yahweh said to Gideon, “The people are still too many. Take them down to the water, and I will make their number smaller for you there. If I say to you, 'This one will go with you,' he will go with you; but if I say, 'This one will not go with you,' he will not go.”
৪যিহোৱাই গিদিয়োনক ক’লে, “এতিয়াও লোকসকল অধিক আছে; তেওঁলোকক তুমি জুৰিৰ পানীলৈ নামি যাবলৈ কোৱা আৰু সেই ঠাইতে মই তোমাৰ হৈ তেওঁলোকৰ বাচনি কৰিম। যিজনৰ বিষয়ে মই তোমাক ক’ম এইজন লোক তোমাৰ লগত যাব, তেওঁ যাব; কিন্তু যদি মই কওঁ, এওঁ তোমাৰ লগত যাব নোৱাৰে, তেওঁ যাব নোৱাৰিব।”
5 So Gideon brought the people down to the water, and Yahweh said to him, “Separate everyone who laps up the water, as a dog laps, from those who kneel down to drink.”
৫তেতিয়া গিদিয়োনে লোকসকলক লৈ পানীৰ ওচৰলৈ নামি গ’ল। তাতে যিহোৱাই গিদিয়োনক ক’লে, “যি সকলে কুকুৰৰ নিচিনাকৈ জিভাৰে পানী চেলেকি খাব তেওঁলোকৰ পৰা যি সকলে পানী পিবৰ কাৰণে আঠু কাঢ়িব তেওঁলোকক পৃথক কৰা।”
6 Three hundred men lapped. The rest of the men kneeled down to drink water.
৬তিনি শ মানুহে হাতেৰে মুখলৈ পানী তুলি চেলেকি খালে আৰু বাকী সকলোৱে পানী পিবলৈ আঁঠু কাঢ়ি ল’লে।
7 Yahweh said to Gideon, “With the three hundred men who lapped, I will rescue you and give you victory over the Midianites. Let every other man go back to his own place.”
৭তেতিয়া যিহোৱাই গিদিয়োনক ক’লে, “চেলেকি পানী খোৱা এই তিনি শ লোকক লৈয়ে মই তোমালোকক উদ্ধাৰ কৰিম আৰু মিদিয়নীয়াসকলক তোমালোকৰ হাতত দিম; আন সকলো লোকক তেওঁলোকৰ নিজৰ ঠাইলৈ ঘূৰি যাবলৈ দিয়া।”
8 So those who were chosen took their supplies and their trumpets. Gideon sent away all the men of Israel, every man to his tent, but he kept the three hundred men. Now the Midian camp was down below him in the valley.
৮সেইদৰে গিদিয়োনে তিনি শ লোকক ৰাখি বাকী সকলো ইস্রায়েলীয়া লোকক নিজৰ তম্বুলৈ পঠাই দিলে। গিদিয়োনে তেওঁলোকৰ হাতত থকা খোৱা বস্তু আৰু শিঙাবোৰ ৰাখি থলে। সেই সময়ত মিদিয়নীয়াৰ ছাউনি গিদিয়োনৰ ছাউনিৰ তলৰ উপত্যকাত আছিল।
9 That same night Yahweh said to him, “Get up! Attack the camp, for I am going to give you victory over it.
৯সেইদিনা ৰাতি যিহোৱাই তেওঁক ক’লে, “উঠা! ছাউনি আক্রমণ কৰা। কিয়নো মই সেই ছাউনি তোমাৰ হাতত দিলোঁ।
10 But if you are afraid to go down, go down to the camp with Purah your servant,
১০যদি তোমাৰ তললৈ নামি যাবলৈ ভয় লাগিছে, তেন্তে তোমাৰ দাস পুৰাক লগত লৈ ছাউনিলৈ নামি যোৱা।
11 and listen to what they are saying, and your courage will be strengthened to attack the camp.” So Gideon went with Purah his servant, down to the guard posts of the camp.
১১সিহঁতে কি কয়, তুমি তাক শুনিবা; তাৰ পাছত ছাউনি আক্রমণ কৰিবলৈ তোমাৰ সাহস সবল কৰা হ’ব।” তেতিয়া গিদিয়োনে নিজৰ দাস পুৰাক লগত লৈ ছাউনিৰ সুৰক্ষা প্রহৰীৰ আস্থানৰ ওচৰলৈকে নামি গ’ল।
12 The Midianites, the Amalekites, and all the people of the east settled along in the valley, as thick as a cloud of locusts. Their camels were more than could be counted; they were more in number than the grains of the sand on the seashore.
১২সেই উপত্যকাৰ মাজত মিদিয়নীয়া, অমালেকীয়া, আৰু পুব দেশীয় লোকসকলৰ ঘনবসতি ফৰিঙৰ জাকৰ দৰে আছিল। তেওঁলোকৰ উটবোৰৰ সংখ্যা গণিব নোৱাৰা সমুদ্রৰ তীৰৰ বালিৰ দৰে অগণন আছিল।
13 When Gideon arrived there, a man was telling a dream to his companion. The man said, “Look! I had a dream, and I saw a round loaf of barley bread tumbling into the camp of Midian. It came to the tent, and hit it so hard that it fell down and turned it upside down, so that it lay flat.”
১৩গিদিয়োন যেতিয়া সেই ঠাইত উপস্থিত হ’ল, তেতিয়া এজন মানুহে নিজৰ লগৰীয়াক এটা সপোনৰ কথা কৈ আছিল। তেওঁ ক’লে, “মই এটা সপোন দেখিলোঁ; মই দেখিলোঁ যে এটা যৱৰ পিঠা যেন বাগৰি বাগৰি মিদিয়নীয়াসকলৰ ছাউনিৰ ভিতৰত সোমাল। সেইটোৱে মিদিয়নীয়াসকলৰ তম্বুত আহি ইমান জোৰেৰে খুন্দা মাৰিলে যে তম্বুটো উলোটা হৈ চেপেটা খাই পৰিল।”
14 The other man said, “This is nothing other than the sword of Gideon (the son of Joash), the Israelite. God has given him victory over Midian and all their army.”
১৪লগৰীয়াজনে ক’লে, “এইটো ইস্ৰায়েলীয়া যোৱাচৰ পুত্ৰ গিদিয়োনৰ তৰোৱালৰ বাহিৰে আন একো নহয়; ঈশ্বৰে মিদিয়নীয়া আৰু তেওঁলোকৰ গোটেই সৈন্যক গিদিয়োনৰ হাতত তুলি দিছে।”
15 When Gideon heard the retelling of the dream and its interpretation, he bowed down in worship. He went back to the camp of Israel and said, “Get up! Yahweh has given you victory over the Midian army.”
১৫গিদিয়োনে যেতিয়া সেই সপোন আৰু তাৰ অৰ্থৰ কথা শুনিলে, প্রার্থনাত তেওঁৰ মূৰ দোঁ খালে। তাৰ পাছত তেওঁ ইস্ৰায়েলৰ ছাউনিলৈ উলটি আহি ক’লে, “উঠা! যিহোৱাই আপোনালোকৰ হাতত মিদিয়নীয়া সৈন্যক শোধাই দিছে।”
16 He divided the three hundred men into three groups, and he gave them all trumpets and empty jars, with torches inside each jar.
১৬সেই তিনি শ লোকক তেওঁ তিনি দল কৰি ভাগ কৰিলে আৰু তেওঁলোক প্ৰতিজনৰ হাতত এটাকৈ শিঙা, এটা খালী কলহ, আৰু কলহৰ ভিতৰত এটাকৈ জ্বলন্ত জোঁৰ দিলে।
17 He said to them, “Look at me and do what I do. Watch! When I come to the edge of the camp, you must do what I do.
১৭তাৰ পাছত গিদিয়োনে তেওঁলোকক ক’লে, আপোনালোকে মোক লক্ষ্য কৰি থাকিব আৰু মই যিহকে কৰোঁ, আপোনালোকেও তাক কৰিব। চাই থাকিব! মই যেতিয়া ছাউনিৰ কাষ পাম, মই কৰাৰ দৰেই আপোনালোকে কৰিব।
18 When I blow the trumpet, I and all who are with me, then blow your trumpets also on every side of the entire camp and shout, 'For Yahweh and for Gideon!'”
১৮মই আৰু মোৰ সঙ্গীবোৰে শিঙা বজালে আপোনালোকেও গোটেই ছাউনিৰ চাৰিওকাষে থাকি শিঙা বজাব আৰু চিঞঁৰি চিঞঁৰি ক’ব, “যিহোৱা আৰু গিদিয়োনৰ কাৰণে!”
19 So Gideon and the hundred men who were with him came to the edge of the camp, right at the beginning of the middle watch. Just as the Midianites were changing guard, they blew the trumpets and broke the jars that were in their hands.
১৯মধ্যপ্ৰহৰৰ আৰম্ভণীতে মিদিয়নীয়াসকলে যেতিয়া সুৰক্ষাপ্রহৰীসকলৰ পাল সলনি কৰিছিল, ঠিক সেই সময়তে গিদিয়োন আৰু তেওঁৰ লগৰ এশ লোকে ছাউনিৰ কাষলৈ গ’ল। তেওঁলোকে শিঙাবোৰ বজাই নিজৰ নিজৰ হাতত থকা কলহবোৰ ভাঙি পেলালে।
20 The three companies blew the trumpets and broke the jars. They held the torches in their left hands and the trumpets in their right hands to blow them. They shouted out, “The sword of Yahweh and of Gideon.”
২০এইদৰে তিনিওটা দলে একেলগে শিঙাবোৰ বজাই হাতৰ কলহ ভাঙিলে। বাওঁ হাতত জোঁৰ আৰু সোঁ হাতেৰে বজাবৰ কাৰণে শিঙা লৈ তেওঁলোকে চিঞঁৰি ক’বলৈ ধৰিলে, “যিহোৱা আৰু গিদিয়োনৰ তৰোৱাল”।
21 Every man stood in his place around the camp and all the Midianite army ran. They shouted and ran away.
২১গিদিয়োনৰ লোকসকল ছাউনিৰ চাৰিওফালে যেতিয়া নিজ নিজ ঠাইত থিয় হৈ থাকিল। তেতিয়া সকলো মিদিয়নীয়া সৈন্যই লৰা-ঢাপৰা কৰি চিঞঁৰি পলাবলৈ ধৰিলে।
22 When they blew the three hundred trumpets, Yahweh set every Midianite man's sword against his comrades and against all their army. The army fled as far as Beth Shittah toward Zererah, as far as the border of Abel Meholah, near Tabbath.
২২তিনিশ শিঙা বজাই দিওঁতে, যিহোৱাই এনে কৰিলে যাৰ ফলত প্ৰতিজন মিদিয়নীয়াৰ তৰোৱাল তেওঁলোকৰ নিজৰ লগৰীয়া আৰু সৈন্যসকলৰে বিৰুদ্ধে চলিল; তাতে মিদিয়নীয়া সৈন্যসকলে টব্বতৰ ওচৰত থকা আবেল-মহোলাৰ সীমা পর্যন্ত আৰু চৰেৰাৰ ফালে বৈৎচিত্তালৈকে পলাই গ’ল।
23 The men of Israel from Naphtali, Asher, and all Manasseh were called out, and they went after Midian.
২৩তেতিয়া নপ্তালী, আচেৰ, আৰু মনচি ফৈদৰ পৰা ইস্ৰায়েলৰ লোকসকল একগোট হৈ মিদিয়নীয়াসকলৰ পাছে পাছে খেদি গ’ল।
24 Gideon sent messengers throughout all the hill country of Ephraim, saying, “Go down against Midian and take control of the Jordan River, as far as Beth Barah, to stop them.” So all the men of Ephraim gathered together and took control of the waters, as far as Beth Barah and the Jordan River.
২৪পাছত গিদিয়োনে ইফ্ৰয়িমৰ পাহাৰীয়া এলেকাৰ সকলো ফালে বার্তাবাহক পঠাই ক’লে, “আপোনালোক নামি আহঁক আৰু মিদিয়নৰ বিৰুদ্ধে আক্রমণ কৰক। মিদিয়নীয়াসকল গৈ পোৱাৰ আগেয়ে সিহঁতক ভেটিবলৈ বৈৎ-বাৰা পর্যন্ত আৰু যৰ্দ্দন নদী দখল কৰি লওঁক।” তেতিয়া ইফ্ৰয়িমৰ সকলো লোকে গোট খাই বৈৎ-বাৰালৈকে সকলো সৰু সৰু নদী আৰু যৰ্দ্দনৰ পাৰ-ঘাট দখল কৰি ল’লে।
25 They captured the two princes of Midian, Oreb and Zeeb. They killed Oreb at the rock of Oreb, and they killed Zeeb at the winepress of Zeeb. They went after the Midianites, and they brought the heads of Oreb and Zeeb to Gideon, who was on the other side of the Jordan.
২৫তেওঁলোকে ওৰেব আৰু জেব নামৰ দুজন মিদিয়নীয়া নেতাক ধৰিলে; ওৰেবক ‘ওৰেবৰ শিলত’ বধ কৰিলে আৰু জেবক ‘জেবৰ দ্ৰাক্ষাগুটি মৰা ক্ষেত্র’ত বধ কৰিলে। তেওঁলোকে মিদিয়নীয়াসকলক খেদি পঠালে আৰু যৰ্দ্দনৰ সিপাৰে থকা গিদিয়োনৰ ওচৰলৈ ওৰেব আৰু জেবৰৰ মূৰ লৈ আহিল।
