Joshua 19
1 The second casting of lots fell to Simeon, clan by clan. Their inheritance was in the middle of the inheritance that belonged to the tribe of Judah.
Et egressa est sors secunda filiorum Simeon per cognationes suas: fuitque hereditas
2 They had for their inheritance Beersheba, Sheba, Moladah,
eorum in medio possessionis filiorum Iuda: Bersabee et Sabee et Molada
3 Hazar Shual, Balah, Ezem,
et Hasersual, Bala et Asem
4 Eltolad, Bethul, and Hormah.
et Eltholad, Bethul et Harma
5 Simeon also had Ziklag, Beth Markaboth, Hazar Susah,
et Siceleg et Bethmarchaboth et Hasersusa
6 Beth Lebaoth, and Sharuhen. These were thirteen cities, including their villages.
et Bethlebaoth et Sarohen: civitates tredecim, et villae earum.
7 Simeon also had Ain, Rimmon, Ether, and Ashan. These were four cities, including their villages.
Ain et Remmon et Athar et Asan: civitates quattuor, et villae earum:
8 These were together, including their the villages around these cities as far as Baalath Beer (the same as Ramah in the Negev). This was the inheritance of the tribe of Simeon, clan by clan.
omnes viculi per circuitum urbium istarum usque ad Baalath Beer Ramath contra australem plagam. Haec est hereditas filiorum Simeon iuxta cognationes suas,
9 The inheritance of the tribe of Simeon formed part of the territory of the tribe of Judah. Because the portion of land assigned to the tribe of Judah was too large for them, the tribe of Simeon received their inheritance out of the middle of their portion.
in possessione et funiculo filiorum Iuda: quia maior erat. et idcirco filii Simeon possederunt in medio hereditatis eorum.
10 The third casting of lots fell to the tribe of Zebulun, clan by clan. The border of their inheritance began at Sarid.
Ceciditque sors tertia filiorum Zabulon per cognationes suas: factus est terminus possessionis eorum usque Sarid.
11 Their border went up westward toward Maralah and touched Dabbesheth; then it extended to the brook that was opposite Jokneam.
Ascenditque de Mari et Medalaa, et pervenit in Debbaseth, usque ad torrentem qui est contra Ieconam.
12 From Sarid the border turned eastward toward the east and went to the border of Kisloth Tabor. From there it went to Daberath and then up to Japhia.
Et revertitur de Sared contra Orientem in fines Ceseleththabor: et egreditur ad Dabereth, ascenditque contra Iaphie.
13 From there it passed on eastward to Gath Hepher, and then to Eth Kazin; next it went to Rimmon and turned toward Neah.
Et inde pertransit usque ad orientalem plagam Gethhepher et Thacasin: et egreditur in Remmon, Amthar et Noa.
14 The border made a turn to the north to Hannathon and ended at the Valley of Iphtah El.
Et circuit ad Aquilonem Hanathon: suntque egressus eius Vallis Iephthael,
15 This region included the cities of Kattath, Nahalal, Shimron, Idalah, and Bethlehem. There were twelve cities, including their villages.
et Cateth et Naalol et Semeron et Iedala et Bethlehem: civitates duodecim, et villae earum.
16 This was the inheritance of the tribe of Zebulun, clan by clan, including these cities, including their villages.
Haec est hereditas tribus filiorum Zabulon per cognationes suas, urbes et viculi earum.
17 The fourth casting of lots fell to Issachar, clan by clan.
Issachar egressa est sors quarta per cognationes suas.
18 Their territory included Jezreel, Chesulloth, Shunem,
fuitque eius hereditas Iezrael et Casaloth et Sunem
19 Hapharaim, Shion, and Anaharath.
et Hapharaim et Seon, et Anaharath
20 It also included Rabbith, Kishion, Ebez,
et Rabboth et Cesion, Abes,
21 Remeth, En Gannim, En Haddah, and Beth Pazzez.
et Rameth, et Engannim, et Enhadda et Bethpheses.
22 Their border also touched Tabor, Shahazumah, and Beth Shemesh, and ended at the Jordan. There were sixteen cities, including their villages.
Et pervenit terminus eius usque Thabor et Sehesima et Bethsames: eruntque exitus eius Iordanis: civitates sedecim, et villae earum.
23 This was the inheritance of the tribe of Issachar, according to their clans—the cities, including their villages.
Haec est possessio filiorum Issachar per cognationes suas, urbes, et viculi earum.
24 The fifth casting of lots fell to the tribe of Asher, clan by clan.
Ceciditque sors quinta tribui filiorum Aser per cognationes suas:
25 Their territory included Helkath, Hali, Beten, Akshaph,
fuitque terminus eorum Halcath et Chali et Beten et Axaph
26 Allammelek, Amad, and Mishall. On the west the boundary extended to Carmel and Shihor Libnath.
et Elmelech et Amaad et Messal: et pervenit usque ad Carmelum maris et Sihor et Labanath.
27 Then it turned eastward to Beth Dagon and went as far as Zebulun, and then to the Valley of Iphtah El, northward to Beth Emek and Neiel. Then it continued on to Kabul toward the north.
Ac revertitur contra orientem Bethdagon: et pertransit usque Zabulon et Vallem Iephthael contra Aquilonem in Bethemec et Nehiel. Egrediturque ad laevam Cabul,
28 It then went on to Abdon, Rehob, Hammon, and Kanah, as far as Greater Sidon.
et Abran et Rohob et Hamon et Cana, usque ad Sidonem magnam.
29 The border turned back to Ramah, and then to the fortified city of Tyre. Then the border turned to Hosah and ended at the sea, in the region of Akzib,
revertiturque in Horma usque ad civitatem munitissimam Tyrum, et usque Hosa: eruntque exitus eius in mare de funiculo Achziba:
30 Ummah, Aphek, and Rehob. There were twenty-two cities, including their villages.
et Amma et Aphec et Rohob. civitates viginti duae, et villae earum.
31 This was the inheritance of the tribe of Asher, clan by clan—the cities, including their villages.
Haec est possessio filiorum Aser per cognationes suas, urbesque et viculi earum.
32 The sixth casting of lots fell to tribe of Naphtali, clan by clan.
Filiorum Nephthali sexta sors cecidit per familias suas:
33 Their border ran from Heleph, from the oak at Zaanannim, on to Adami Nekeb and Jabneel, as far as Lakkum; it ended at the Jordan.
et coepit terminus de Heleph et Elon in Saananim, et Adami, quae est Neceb, et Iebnael usque Lecum: et egressus eorum usque ad Iordanem:
34 The border turned westward to Aznoth Tabor and went on to Hukkok; it touched Zebulun on the south, and reached to Asher on the west and Judah on the east at the Jordan River.
revertiturque terminus contra Occidentem in Azanotthabor, atque inde egreditur in Hucuca, et pertransit in Zabulon contra Meridiem, et in Aser contra Occidentem, et in Iuda ad Iordanem contra ortum solis.
35 The fortified cities were Ziddim, Zer, Hammath, Rakkath, Kinnereth,
civitates munitissimae, Assedim, Ser, et Emath, et Reccath et Cenereth,
36 Adamah, Ramah, Hazor,
et Edema et Arama, Asor
37 Kedesh, Edrei, and En Hazor.
et Cedes et Edrai, Enhasor
38 There were also Yiron, Migdal El, Horem, Beth Anath, and Beth Shemesh. There were nineteen cities, including their villages.
et Ieron et Magdalel, Horem et Bethanath et Bethsames: civitates decem et novem, et villae earum.
39 This was the inheritance of the tribe of Naphtali, clan by clan—the cities, including their villages.

40 The seventh casting of lots fell to the tribe of Dan, clan by clan.
Tribui filiorum Dan per familias suas egressa est sors septima:
41 The territory of its inheritance included Zorah, Eshtaol, Ir Shemesh,
et fuit terminus possessionis eius Sara et Esthaol, et Hirsemes, id est civitas solis.
42 Shaalabbin, Aijalon, and Ithlah.
Selebin et Aialon et Iethela,
43 It also included Elon, Timnah, Ekron,
Elon et Themna et Acron,
44 Eltekeh, Gibbethon, Baalath,
Elthece, Gebbethon et Balaath,
45 Jehud, Bene Berak, Gath Rimmon,
et Iud et Bane et Barach et Gethremmon:
46 Me Jarkon, and Rakkon along with the territory across from Joppa.
et Meiarcon et Arecon, cum termino qui respicit Ioppen,
47 When the territory of the tribe of Dan was lost to them, Dan attacked Leshem, fought against it, capturing it and striking it with the sword; taking possession of it and settled in it. They renamed Leshem, calling it Dan after their ancestor.
et ipso fine concluditur. Ascenderuntque filii Dan, et pugnaverunt contra Lesem, ceperuntque eam: et percusserunt eam in ore gladii, et possederunt, et habitaverunt in ea, vocantes nomen eius Lesem Dan, ex nomine Dan patris sui.
48 This was the inheritance of the tribe of Dan, clan by clan—the cities, including their villages.
Haec est possessio tribus filiorum Dan, per cognationes suas, urbes et viculi earum.
49 When they finished the allocation of the land as an inheritance, the people of Israel gave an inheritance among themselves to Joshua son of Nun.
Cumque complesset sorte dividere Terram singulis per tribus suas, dederunt filii Israel possessionem Iosue filio Nun in medio sui,
50 By the command of Yahweh they gave him the city for which he asked, Timnath Serah in the hill country of Ephraim. He rebuilt the city and lived there.
iuxta praeceptum Domini, urbem quam postulavit, Thamnath Saraa in monte Ephraim: et aedificavit civitatem, habitavitque in ea.
51 These are the inheritances that Eleazar the priest, Joshua son of Nun, and the leaders of the tribes of the people of Israel assigned by lot at Shiloh, before Yahweh, at the entrance of the tent of meeting. So they finished assigning the land.
Hae sunt possessiones, quas sorte diviserunt Eleazar sacerdos, et Iosue filius Nun, et principes familiarum, ac tribuum filiorum Israel in Silo, coram Domino ad ostium tabernaculi testimonii, partitique sunt Terram.
