< John 8 >
1 Jesus went to the Mount of Olives.
Jesu wakaya kuchilundu cha Oliva.
2 Early in the morning he came to the temple again, and all the people came; he sat down and taught them.
Chifumofumo wakaya ku tempele lubo, eelyo bantu boonse bakasika; wakakkala aansi akubayiisya.
3 The scribes and the Pharisees brought a woman caught in the act of adultery. They placed her in the middle.
Balembi bamulawu abaFalisi bakeeta mukayintu wakajatwa nkalookuchita bumambe. Bakamubika aakati.
4 Then they said to him, “Teacher, this woman has been caught in the act of adultery.
Mpawo bakati kulinguwe, “Muyiisi, ooyu mwanakaziwajatwa kalikuchita bumambe.
5 Now in the law, Moses commanded us to stone such people; what do you say about her?”
Lino mumulawu, Mozesi wakatulayilila kuti bantu baliboobu tubatulule mabwe; iwe utyeni aatala anguwe?”
6 They said this in order to trap him so that they might have something to accuse him about, but Jesus bent down and wrote on the ground with his finger.
Bakaamba eezi kuchitila kuti bamupe mulandu anzizyo, pesi Jesu wakakotama walemba aansi amunwe wakwe.
7 When they continued asking him questions, he stood up and said to them, “The one among you who has no sin, let him be the first to throw a stone at her.”
Nibakiinkilila aanembo akumubuzya mibuzyo, wakanyampuka akubaambila kuti, “Ooyo utakwe chibi aakati kenu, ngabe mutanzi kutulula mwanakazi ooyu ibbwe.”
8 Again he stooped down, and wrote on the ground with his finger.
Wakakotama aansi lubo, akulemba aanyika amunwe wakwe.
9 When they heard it, they left one by one, beginning with the oldest. Finally Jesus was left alone, with the woman who had been in the middle.
Nibakamvwa eezi bakeenda umwi awumwi, kutalika aamupati. Kumamanino Jesu wakasyaala aalike, nkali aamwanakazi ngubakabikide aakati.
10 Jesus stood up and said to her, “Woman, where are your accusers? Did no one condemn you?”
Jesu wakanyampuka akumwaambila kuti, “Yoo mwanakazi, mbali basikukupa mulandu? Takwe muntu wajana mulandu na mulinduwe?”
11 She said, “No one, Lord.” Jesus said, “Neither do I condemn you. Go and sin no more.”]
Wakati, “Takwe, nikuba womwe Mwaami.” Jesu wakati, “Ambebo nsikupi mulandu. Koya alimwi utakabisyi limbi.”]
12 Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world; he who follows me will not walk in the darkness but will have the light of life.”
Alimwi Jesu wakaambuula aabo nkati, “Ndili mumuni wanyika; ooyo unditobela takoyoyenda mumudima pesi uyooba aamumuni wabuumi.”
13 The Pharisees said to him, “You bear witness about yourself; your witness is not true.”
Ba Falisi bakati kulinguwe, “Ulipeda bukamboni nomwini, bukamboni bwako tabusinizizye pe.”
14 Jesus answered and said to them, “Even if I bear witness about myself, my witness is true. I know where I came from and where I am going, but you do not know where I came from or where I am going.
Jesu wakabasandula akwaamba kuti kulimbabo, “Nekuba kuti ndipa bukamboni bwangu ndemwini, bukamboni bwangu bulisinizizye. Ndilikwizi nkundakazwa ankwenjobuya.
15 You judge according the flesh; I judge no one.
Mubeteka chanyama; Ime nsibeteki muntu pe.
16 Yet if I judge, my judgment is true because I am not alone, but I am with the Father who sent me.
Nikuba kuti ndabeteka, kubeteka kwangu kulisinizizye nkaambo nsili aandike pe, pesi ndili aaTaata wakandituma.
17 Yes, and in your law it is written that the testimony of two men is true.
Iyii, alimwi mumulawu wenu kulilembedwe kuti bukamboni bwabantu babili bulisinizizye.
18 I am he who bears witness about myself, and the Father who sent me bears witness about me.”
Ndili ooyo uulungulula bukamboni aatala alwangu, eelyo Taata wakandituma upeda bukamboni aatala andime.”
19 They said to him, “Where is your father?” Jesus answered, “You know neither me nor my Father; if you had known me, you would have known my Father also.”
Bakati kulinguwe, “Ulikuli wuso?” Jesu wakasandula, “Takwe ngomuzi imebo na Taata; kansinga mwalindiz, mwalikunomuziba Taata alakwe.”
20 He said these words in the treasury as he taught in the temple, and no one arrested him because his hour had not yet come.
Aaya majwi wakaamba muchibambalilo nkali kuyiisya mutempele pesi takwe muntu wakamusunga nkaambo chiindi chakwe techakalinaakkwana pe.
21 So again he said to them, “I am going away; you will seek me and will die in your sin. Where I am going, you cannot come.”
Aawo wakabaambila lubo kuti, “Ndiyobwiinka, muyondiyanduula eelyo muyofwa muzibi zyanu. Ooko nkweya, tamukonzyi kusika pe.”
22 The Jews said, “Will he kill himself? Is that why he says, 'Where I am going you cannot come'?”
Ba Juda bakati, “Mpo ulalijaya na? Nchenchicho na mpo nchati, 'Nkweya tamuyosika?”
23 Jesus said to them, “You are from below; I am from above. You are of this world; I am not of this world.
Jesu wakati kulimbabo, “Muli baansi; Imebo ndiwakujulu. Muli banyika eeyi; Mebo nsili wenyika eeyi pe.
24 Therefore, I said to you that you will die in your sins. For unless you believe that I AM, you will die in your sins.”
Akaako ndakamwaambila kuti muyoofwa muzibi zyabo. Ado do mane musyome kuti NDIME, muyoofwa muzibi zyenu.”
25 They said therefore to him, “Who are you?” Jesus said to them, “What I have said to you from the beginning.
Bakati kulinguwe, ikuti kuliboobo, “Nduweni?” Jesu wakabaambila kuti, “Nzindamwaambila kuzwa kumatalikilo.
26 I have many things to speak and to judge about you. However, he who sent me is true; and the things that I heard from him, these things I say to the world.”
Ndili aazintu zyiingi zyakwaamba azyakubeteka aatala andinywe. Nikubaboobo, ooyo wakandituma ulisinizizye; mpawo zintu nzyemvwa kuzwa kulinguwe, nzyezintu nzyewamba kunyika.”
27 They did not understand that he was speaking to them about the Father.
Tensi bakamvwisisisya pe kuti wakalikwaambula aatala aTaata.
28 Jesus said, “When you have lifted up the Son of Man, then will you know that I AM, and that I do nothing of myself. As the Father taught me, I speak these things.
Jesu wakati, “Aawo mwayoonyampula Mwana waMuntu, mpempawo mpomuyooziba kuti NDIME, akuti nsichiti chintu alwangu. Mbubo Taata mbwakandiyiisya me, mbubo bewamba zintu eezi.
29 He who sent me is with me, and he has not left me alone, because I always do what is pleasing to him.”
Ooyo wakandituma uli aandime, mpawo tandisiide andiike pe, nkaambo ndichita zintu zimukonda chiindi choonse.
30 As Jesus was saying these things, many believed in him.
Nkachaambula zintu eezi Jesu, bantu biingi bakasyoma mulinguwe.
31 Jesus said to those Jews who had believed him, “If you remain in my word, then you are truly my disciples;
Jesu wakati kuma Juda ibakali bamusyoma, “Na mwakkalilila mujwi lyangu, muyooba basikwiiya bangu basinizizye,
32 and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
alimwi muyoziba kasimpe, eelyo kasimpe kayoomwaangununa.”
33 They answered him, “We are descendants of Abraham and have never been slaves of anyone; how can you say, 'You will be set free'?”
Bakamusandula, “Tulizyalane lya Abbulahamu mpawo tatunaaba bazike bamuntu pe; waambilaaaloi kuti, 'Muyowangununwa'?”
34 Jesus answered them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, everyone who commits sin is the slave of sin.
Jesu wakabasandula, “Nchobeni, nchobeni, ndamwaambila kuti, ooyo woonse uchita chibi muzike wachibi.
35 The slave does not remain in the house forever; the son remains forever. (aiōn )
Muzike takkalilili mun'anda kwalyoonse; mwana ulakkalilila chalyoonse. (aiōn )
36 Therefore, if the Son sets you free, you will be truly free.
Akaako, na Mwana wakwaangununa, ulaangunuka cha nchobeni.
37 I know that you are Abraham's descendants; you seek to kill me because my word has no place in you.
Ndilizizi kuti muli zyalane lya Abbulahamu; muyandula kundijaya nkaambo ijwi lyangu talikwe busena mulindinywe.
38 I say what I have seen with my Father, and you also do what you heard from your father.”
Ndiwamba nzindakabona kuli Taata, alimwi andinywe muchite nzimwakamvwa kuli wuso wanu.”
39 They answered and said to him, “Our father is Abraham.” Jesus said to them, “If you were Abraham's children, you would do the works of Abraham.
Bakamusandula alimwi bakati kulinguwe, “Taata wesu ngu Abbulahamu.” Jesu wakati kulimbabo, “Na mwali bana ba Abbulahamu, nimunga muchita milimu ya Abbulahamu.
40 Yet, now you seek to kill me, a man who has told you the truth that I heard from God. Abraham did not do this.
Pesi, lino muyanduula kundijaya, muntu wamwaambila kasimpe nkendakamvwa kuli Leza. Abbulahamu takwe nakachita eechi.
41 You do the works of your father.” They said to him, “We were not born in sexual immorality; we have one Father: God.”
Muchita milimu yawuso wenu.” Bakati kulinguwe, “Tetwakazyalilwa mubwamu pe; tuli aaTaata omwe: Leza.”
42 Jesus said to them, “If God were your Father, you would love me, for I came from God and am here; for neither have I come of myself, but he sent me.
Jesu wakabaambila wakati, “Kaansinga Leza ngu Wuso wenu, mwalikunondiyanda, nkaambo ndakazwa kuli Leza mpawo ndili aano; nkaambo nsilizidilide pe ndemwini, pesi wakandituma.
43 Why do you not understand my words? It is because you cannot hear my words.
Nkaambonzi nimutamvwisisisyi majwi aangu? Kuli oobu nkaambo tamukonzyi kumvwa majwi aangu.
44 You are of your father, the devil, and you wish to do the desires of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning and does not stand in the truth because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own nature because he is a liar and the father of lies.
Muli bawuso wenu, dyabbulosi, alimwi mukanza kuchita ziyandisyo zyawuso. Wakali mujayi kuzwa kumatangunino mpawo tayiimvwi muchisinizyo nkaambo takwe kusinizya mulinguwe. Aawo nawamba zyakubeja, uwamba kazizwa mubube bwakwe mwini nkaambo mubeji alimwi ngowisi wabubeji.
45 Yet, because I speak the truth, you do not believe me.
Eelyo, nkaambo ndiwamba lusinizyo, tamundisyomi pe.
46 Which one of you convicts me of sin? If I speak the truth, why do you not believe me?
Ngwani aakati kenu uundipa mulandu wachibi? Kuti ndaamba lusinizyo, nkambooyi nimutandisyomi?
47 He who is of God hears the words of God; you do not hear them because you are not of God.”
Muntu waLeza woonse ulaamvwa majwi aa Leza; tamwaamvwi nkaambo tamuli ba Leza.”
48 The Jews answered and said to him, “Do we not truly say that you are a Samaritan and have a demon?”
Ba Juda bakamusandula alimwi bakati kulinguwe, “Nchoonzyo tatwaambi kuti uli mu Samaliya na akuti uli aadayimona?”
49 Jesus answered, “I do not have a demon, but I honor my Father, and you dishonor me.
Jesu wakasandula, “Nsikwe dayimona pe, pesi ndilemya Taata wangu, alimwi inywe mulanduubawulusya.
50 I do not seek my glory; there is one seeking and judging.
Nsilanguuli bulemu bwangu ndemwini; kuli uumwi uuyandula akubeteka.
51 Truly, truly, I say to you, if anyone keeps my word, he will never see death.” (aiōn )
Chobeni, nchobeni, ndamwaambila, na umwi wabamba ijwi lyangu, takoyoobona lufu.” (aiōn )
52 The Jews said to him, “Now we know that you have a demon. Abraham and the prophets died; but you say, 'If anyone keeps my word, he will never taste death.' (aiōn )
Ma Juda bakati kulinguwe, “Lino twaziba kuti uli aadayimona. Abbulahamu abasinsimi bakafwa; pesi wamba kuti, 'Na umwi wabamba ijwi lyangu, takoyoolabila lufu.' (aiōn )
53 You are not greater than our father Abraham who died, are you? The prophets also died. Who do you make yourself out to be?”
Toli mupati pe kwiinda taata Abbulahamu wakafwa, ulimupati na? Basinsimi abalabo bakafwa. Ulichita ani?”
54 Jesus answered, “If I glorify myself, my glory is nothing; it is my Father who glorifies me—about whom you say that he is your God.
Jesu wakasandula, “Kuti nkelipa bulemu ndemwini, bulemu bwangu mbwabuyo; ngu Taata undilemya - ooyo ngumuti ngu Leza wanu.
55 You have not known him, but I know him. If I would say, 'I do not know him,' I would be like you, a liar. However, I know him and keep his word.
Tamunaamuziba pe, pesi ndilimwizi. Kuti ndati, 'Nsimwizi, ndilaba mbuli ndinyw, mubeji. Nikuba boobo, ndimwizi alimwi ndilabamba ijwi lyakwe.
56 Your father Abraham rejoiced at seeing my day; he saw it and was glad.”
Wuso wenu Abbulahamu wakabotelwa kubamba izuba lyangu; waklibona alimwi wakabotelwa.”
57 The Jews said to him, “You are not yet fifty years old, and you have seen Abraham?”
BamaJuda bakati kulinguwe, “Tonaakuba aaminyaka ili makkumi musanu pe, mpawo wakamubona Abbulahamu?”
58 Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I AM.”
Jesu wakati kulimbabo, “Nchobeni, nchobeni, ndamwaambila Abbulahamu nkatanaaba, NDIME.”
59 Then they picked up stones to throw at him, but Jesus hid himself and went out of the temple.
Mpawo bakabweza mabwe kuti bamutulule, pesi Jesu wakayuba akuzwa aanze kwe tempele.
