< John 6 >

1 After these things, Jesus went away to the other side of the Sea of Galilee, also called the Sea of Tiberias.
Baada ye enongwa ezi, oYesu abahlile hu Bahari ye Galilaya nantele huhweta isombe lye Tiberia.
2 A great crowd was following him because they saw the signs that he was doing on those who were sick.
Obhongano ogosi gwali guhufuata afuatanaje bhalolile ealama zyabhombile hwa bhala bhabhali bhawinu.
3 Jesus went up the mountain and there he sat down with his disciples.
O Yesu azubhile pamwanya hadi sehemu ya pamwanya hwigamba na akhaye ohwo na bhanafunzi bhakwe
4 (Now the Passover, the Jewish festival, was near.)
(Epasaka, ye shikulukulu sha Yahudi yali efishile).
5 When Jesus looked up and saw a great crowd coming to him, he said to Philip, “Where are we going to buy bread so that these may eat?”
O Yesu abhosezye amaso amwanya nalole owinji wa bhantu bhahwenza hwamwene, wabhozya oFilipo, “Tibhala hwii akale amabumunda aje ebhankabhapate alye”?
6 (But Jesus said this to test Philip, for he himself knew what he was going to do.)
(Ila oYesu agayanjile ega hwa Filipo apimaga pima afuatanaje omwene yoyo amenye haibhomba).
7 Philip answered him, “Two hundred denarii worth of bread would not be sufficient for each one to have even a little.”
O Filipo ajile, “Ata mabumunda hela hata dinari mia mbili seganzatosye shila muntu apate hashe hashe.”
8 One of the disciples, Andrew, the brother of Simon Peter, said to Jesus,
O Andrea, omo webhanafunzi bhakwe ohoho wakwe oSimoni Petro abhozyezye
9 “There is a boy here who has five bread loaves of barley and two fish, but what are these among so many?”
O Yesu, “Ahweli osahala epa ali na mabumunda gasanu ne samaki zi bhele, eshi ene ekhondeye yenu hwa bhantu abhinji enamuna ene?”
10 Jesus said, “Make the people sit down.” (Now there was a lot of grass in the place.) So the men sat down, about five thousand in number.
O Yesu abhozya, “Aje bhakhazyi abhantu pansi” (kulikuwa na nyasi nyingi mahali pale). Hivyo wanaume wapata elfu tano wakakaa chini.
11 Then Jesus took the loaves and after giving thanks, he gave it to those who were sitting. He did the same with the fish, as much as they wanted.
Pamande oYesu wega amabumunda gasanu wasombwezye wabhagabhila bhala bhabhakheye. Shesho wabhagabhila esamaki alengane shabha hanzaga.
12 When the people were filled, he said to his disciples, “Gather up the broken pieces which remain, so that nothing will be lost.”
Abhantu nabhahakuta, abhabhozya abhanafunzi bhakwe, “Bhonganyi evigalizi vyavisageye aje nkaviganje ateje vyovyonti.”
13 So they gathered them up and filled twelve baskets with broken pieces from the five barley loaves left over by those who had eaten.
Bhabhonganya na memwe evitondo kumi ne vibhele, evipande vye mabumunda visanu vyavyasageye na bhala bhabhalyanga.
14 Then, when the people saw this sign that he did, they said, “This truly is the prophet who is to come into the world.”
Pamande abhantu na bhalola embombo zya bhombile bhajile, “Lyoli ono yayola okuwaa wahwenza munsi.”
15 When Jesus realized that they were about to come and seize him by force to make him king, he withdrew again up the mountain by himself.
O Yesu nagunduye aje bhahwanza ahukhate ili aje bhabheshe aje mwene wabho, ahwitenjile, nantele abhalile hwigamba omwene mwene.
16 When it became evening, his disciples went down to the sea.
Nahwali lyabhela, abhanafunzi bhakwe bhalushile abhale hwidimi idodo.
17 They got into a boat, and were going over the sea to Capernaum. It was dark by this time, and Jesus had not yet come to them.
Bhapandile mwitoli bhali bhalobhoha abhale hu Kaperanaumu. (Enkisi yali eyenyiye no Yesu ali sele sayenzele hwabhene).
18 A strong wind was blowing, and the sea was getting rough.
Eshipindi esho ehala engosi yali evugula, ne nsombe yali ehwendelela achafushe.
19 When they had rowed about twenty-five or thirty stadia, they saw Jesus walking on the sea and coming near the boat, and they were afraid.
Nantele abhanafunzi bhakwe na bhali wakhomile emakasia kama shilini natano au thelathini wahalola oYesu ajenda pamwanya ye somba azuwilile itoli, wahogopa.
20 But he said to them, “It is I! Do not be afraid.”
Ila wabhabhozya, “Nene mganjehwogope.”
21 Then they were willing to receive him into the boat, and immediately the boat reached the land where they were going.
Antele bhalitayali ahunyemle mwitoli, itoli nalyafihoa insi ya bhalaga.
22 The next day, the crowd that had been standing on the other side of the sea saw that there was no other boat there except the one, and that Jesus had not entered it with his disciples but that his disciples had gone away alone.
Isiku lyalyafuatile, obhongano gwa hemeleye oupande wensombe bhalolaga aje nalimo itoli lya mwabho ila lila ambalyo oYesu na bhanafunzi bhakwe bhali sebhalipandile ila abhanafunzi bhakwe bhali bhahwibhaliyee bhebho.
23 However, there were some boats that came from Tiberias close to the place where they had eaten the bread loaves after the Lord had given thanks.
(Japokuwa hwa hali amitoli gamo gafumaga hu Tiberia peepe ne sehemu hwabha lyanga amabumunda baada ya Gosi afumwe ulusalifyo).
24 When the crowd discovered that neither Jesus nor his disciples were there, they themselves got into the boats and went to Capernaum seeking Jesus.
Omuda embongano na bhamanya aje se yo Yesu wala sebhanafunzi bhakwe bhali hula, abhene bhebho wapende mwitoli bhabhala hu Kaperanaumu bhalondola oYesu.
25 After they found him on the other side of the sea, they said to him, “Rabbi, when did you come here?”
Na bhahapata esehemu ya mwabho ye oimi dodo bhabhozya, “Mwalimwa ohenzele ndii ohu?”
26 Jesus replied to them, saying, “Truly, truly, you seek me, not because you saw signs, but because you ate some of the bread loaves and were filled.
O Yesu ayanga, abhabhozya, Etisheli, etisheli, munaanza ane, sio aje mwazilolile embombo ila afuatanaje mwaliye amabumunda nakute.
27 Do not work for the food that perishes, but work for the food that endures to eternal life which the Son of Man will give you, for God the Father has set his seal on him.” (aiōnios g166)
Leshi ashibhombela embombo eshalye shashi na nchiha, ila mshibhombele embombo eshalye shashikhala wilawila shila omwana wa Adamu shaibhapela, afuatanaje Ongolobhe Odaada abheshele omuhuri pamwanya yakwe.” (aiōnios g166)
28 Then they said to him, “What must we do, so that we may do the works of God?”
Pamande bhabhozya, “Hantu hahwanziwa abhombe aje abhombe embombo ya Ngolobhe?”
29 Jesus replied and said to them, “This is the work of God: That you believe in the one whom he has sent.”
O Yesu ajibu, “Ene ye mbombo ya Ngolobhe: aje mwenteshe omwene wa ntumile.”
30 So they said to him, “What sign then will you do, so that we may see and believe you? What will you do?
Bhabhozya, “Aje alama anshi zyobhabhombe, aje tibhazilole na humweteshele? Obhabhombe bhole?
31 Our fathers ate the manna in the wilderness, as it is written, 'He gave them bread from heaven to eat.'”
Adaada bhetu bhaliye emanna mwipoli, nanshi sheyaandihwe, “Abhapiye amabumunda afume amwanya nkabhalye.”
32 Then Jesus replied to them, “Truly, truly, it was not Moses who gave you the bread out of heaven, but it is my Father who is giving you the true bread from heaven.
O Yesu abhabhozya, “Etisheli, etisheli, sio yo Musa abhapiye amabumunda afume amwanya, bali Baba yangu ndiye awapaye mkate wa kweli kutoka mbinguni.
33 For the bread of God is that which comes down from heaven and gives life to the world.”
Afuatanaje ibumunda lya Ngolobhe lyalila lyalihwiha afume amwanya naipele ensi owomi.
34 So they said to him, “Sir, give us this bread always.”
Eshi bhabhozya, “Bhaga Gosi tipelaje amabumunda wilawila.”
35 Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life; he who comes to me will not be hungry, and he who believes in me will never be thirsty.
O Yesu ahaga, “Ane endi libumunda lye womi, omwene wa hwenza huline sagailola enzala omwene wane teshela sagaichisila enzara omwene waneteshela sagaichisila na mwaha eshomelwa.”
36 But I told you that indeed you have seen me, and you do not believe.
Ijapokuwa embabhozezye aje, mundolile, lakini semuhweteshela.
37 Everyone whom the Father gives me will come to me, and he who comes to me I will certainly not throw out.
Bhonti oDaada wampiye bhanzahwenze huline, na wawonti wahwenza huline senaihutaga honze kabisa.
38 For I have come down from heaven, not to do my own will, but the will of him who sent me.
Afwatanaje enishile afume amwanya, sehwahubhombe olusongwo lwane, ila ulusongwo lwa wantumile.
39 This is the will of him who sent me, that I would lose not one of all those whom he has given me, but will raise them up on the last day.
No olu lwo lusongwo lwakwe wantumile, aje nsatezye hata muntu omo bhala bhombiye, ila ehaibhazyosya isiku lya mwisho.
40 For this is the will of my Father, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in him would have eternal life and I will raise him up on the last day.” (aiōnios g166)
Afuatanaje ega gasongwa Odaada wane, aje wawonti wa humwenya Omwana na humweteshele apate owomi wewila wila; wenu wanaihuzyonsya isiku elya mwisho. (aiōnios g166)
41 Then the Jews grumbled about him because he had said, “I am the bread that has come down from heaven.”
Pamande ayahudi walalamishila ahusu omwene afuatanaje ayanjile, “Ane endi libumunda lyalihwiha afume amwanya.”
42 They said, “Is not this Jesus son of Joseph, whose father and mother we know? How then does he now say, 'I have come down from heaven'?”
Bhayanga, “Ono seyo Yesu omwana wa Yusufu, odaada wakwe no nyina wakwe timenye? Shili bhole esalezi aiga, 'Enishile afume humwanya`?”
43 Jesus replied and said to them, “Stop grumbling among yourselves.
O Yesu ahayanga, ajile, “Muganje alalamishalane mhati yenyu mwemwe.
44 No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him, and I will raise him up on the last day.
Nomo omuntu wahwenza huline nkashe savutilwe no Daada wane wantumile, nane naihuvyonsya isiku elya mwisho.
45 It is written in the prophets, 'Everyone will be taught by God.' Everyone who has heard and learned from the Father comes to me.
Afuatanaje eyandihwe hwa kuwaa, 'Bhanzasambelezewe no Ngolobhe.' Shila wayomvwezya asambeleye afume hwa Daada, ahwenza huline.
46 Not that anyone has seen the Father, except he who is from God—he has seen the Father.
Sio aje ahweli omuntu walolile Odaada, ila omwene wafuma hwa Ngolobhe- alolile Odaada.
47 Truly, truly, he who believes has eternal life. (aiōnios g166)
Eteha, eteha omwene wanetesheye ali no womi wewilawila. (aiōnios g166)
48 I am the bread of life.
Ane endi libumunda lye womi.
49 Your fathers ate the manna in the wilderness, and they died.
adaada bhetu bhaliye emanna mwipoli, bhahafwa.
50 This is the bread which comes down from heaven, so that a person may eat some of it and not die.
Eli ndiyo libumunda lyalihwiha afume amwanya, ili omuntu alye nkaganje afwe.
51 I am the living bread that came down from heaven. If anyone eats some of this bread, he will live forever. The bread that I will give is my flesh for the life of the world.” (aiōn g165)
Ane endi libumunda lyalikhala lyalilishile afume amwanya. Nanshi omuntu wawonti nkalye ibumunda eli, aihwizya wilawila. Ibumunda lye mbefumye bele gwane alengane no womi ensi.” (aiōn g165)
52 The Jews became angry among themselves and began to argue, saying, “How can this man give us his flesh to eat?”
Ayahudi bhavitwa bhebho hu bhebho bhanda abisanye bhaiga, “Omuntu ono awezizye bhole atipele obele gwakwe tiilye?”
53 Then Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you will not have life in yourselves.
Nantele oYesu wabhbhozya, “Etesheli, etesheli, nkashe semwailya obele gwa Mwana wa Adamu na mwele idanda lyakwe, semwaibha nowomi muhati yenyu.
54 Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has everlasting life, and I will raise him up at the last day. (aiōnios g166)
Wawonti wailya obele gwane na mwele idanda lyane ali no womi wewilawila, nane naihuvyonsya isiku lya mwisho. (aiōnios g166)
55 For my flesh is true food, and my blood is true drink.
Afwatanaje obele gwane shalye she lyoli, ni danda lyane shimwelo she lyoli.
56 He who eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me, and I in him.
Omwe wagulya obele gwane na mwele idanda lyane akhala muhati yane, nane mhati yakwe.
57 As the living Father sent me, and as I live because of the Father, so he who eats me, he will also live because of me.
Nanshi Odaada we womi shantumile, nanshi shakheye alengane no Daada, wakwe no mwene aikhala alengangane.
58 This is the bread that has come down from heaven, not as the fathers ate and died. He who eats this bread will live forever.” (aiōn g165)
Eli libumunda lyali hwihaafume amwanya, sio nanshi shila Adaada wenyu bhaliye bhafwa. Omwene wanzalye ibumunda eli ayikhala wilawila. (aiōn g165)
59 But Jesus said these things in the synagogue while he was teaching in Capernaum.
O Yesu ayanjile enongwa ezi mshibhanza nahali afundizya hu Kaperanaumu.
60 Then many of his disciples who heard this said, “This is a difficult teaching; who can accept it?”
Abhinji abhanafunzi bhakwe bhahomvweze ega, bhayanjile, “Eli lifundizyo likhone wenu wawezizye aliposhele?”
61 Jesus, because he knew in himself that his disciples were grumbling at this, said to them, “Does this offend you?
O Yesu afuatanaje amenye aje abhanafunzi bhakwe bhalalamiha iswali eli libhavisya, akawambia je jambo hili linawakwaza?
62 Then what if you should see the Son of Man going up to where he was before?
Eshi shaibha na waihulola omwana wa Adamu naihwiha afume hwahweli kabisa?
63 It is the Spirit who makes alive; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I have spoken to you are spirit, and they are life.
Yo Mpempo yayoyo wafumya owomi. Obele saguhwavwa nkahamo. Amazu ge njanjile hulimwe ga mpempo no womi.
64 Yet there are some of you who do not believe.” For Jesus knew from the beginning who were the ones that would not believe and who it was who would betray him.
Bhahweli abhantu hulimwe bhasebhahweteshela.” afuatanaje oYesu amenye fume hale ola wasaga hweteshela na ola omwene wanzahusyonshele.
65 He said, “It is because of this that I said to you that no one can come to me unless it is granted to him by the Father.”
Wabhabhozya, aje shasheshi nabhabhozezye aje nomo omuntu wayenza huline ila apewilwe no Daada.”
66 Because of this, many of his disciples went away and no longer walked with him.
Baada yega abhanafunzi bhakwe wonti wawela akhosi na khatane nawo nantele.
67 Then Jesus said to the twelve, “You do not want to go away also, do you?”
O Yesu wabhabhozya bhala kumi na bhabhele, “Aje namwe muhwanza asogole?”
68 Simon Peter answered him, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have words of eternal life, (aiōnios g166)
O Simoni oPetulo wayanga, “Gosi tibhale hwa nanu afatanaje awe oli ni izu lya womi wewilawila, (aiōnios g166)
69 and we have believed and come to know that you are the Holy One of God.”
natetesheye na manye aje awe oligolosu wa Ngolobhe.”
70 Jesus said to them, “Did not I choose you, the twelve, and one of you is a devil?”
O Yesu wayanga, “Aje ane senabhachaguye amwe, na omo wenyu yo setano?
71 Now he spoke of Judas son of Simon Iscariot, for it was he, one of the twelve, who would betray Jesus.
Eshi aliayanga ahusu oYuda, omwana wa Simoni Iskariote, afwatanaje ali yoyoyo ali pamo na bhala kumi na bhabhele, ambaye wasyonsheye oYesu.
