Joel 2
1 Blow the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm on my holy mountain! Let all the inhabitants of the land tremble in fear, for the day of Yahweh is coming; indeed, it is near.
౧సీయోనులో బాకా ఊదండి, నా పరిశుద్ధ పర్వతం మీద మేల్కొలిపే శబ్దం చేయండి! యెహోవా దినం వస్తున్నదనీ అది సమీపమయ్యిందనీ దేశనివాసులంతా భయంతో వణకుతారు గాక.
2 It is a day of darkness and gloom, a day of clouds and thick darkness. Like the dawn that spreads on the mountains, a large and mighty army is approaching. There has never been an army like it, and there never will be again, even after many generations.
౨అది చీకటి రోజు, గాఢాంధకారమయమైన రోజు. కారు మబ్బులు కమ్మే కటిక చీకటి రోజు. పర్వతాల మీద ఉదయకాంతి ప్రసరించినట్టు బలమైన గొప్ప సేన వస్తూ ఉంది. అలాంటి సేన ఎన్నడూ లేదు, ఇక ఎన్నడూ మళ్ళీ రాదు. తరతరాల తరువాత కూడా అది ఉండదు.
3 A fire is consuming everything in front of it, and behind it a flame is burning. The land is like the garden of Eden in front of it, but behind it there is a ruined wilderness. Indeed, nothing will escape from it.
౩దాని ముందు అగ్ని అన్నిటినీ కాల్చేస్తున్నది. వాటి వెనుక, మంట మండుతూ ఉంది. అది రాకముందు భూమి ఏదెను తోటలా ఉంది. అది వచ్చి వెళ్లిపోయిన తరువాత భూమి ఎడారిలా పాడయింది. దానినుంచి ఏదీ తప్పించుకోలేదు.
4 The army's appearance is like horses, and they run like horsemen.
౪సేన రూపం, గుర్రాల లాగా ఉంది. వాళ్ళు రౌతులలాగా పరుగెడుతున్నారు.
5 They jump with a noise like that of chariots on the tops of the mountains, like the noise of fiery flames that devour the stubble, like a mighty army ready for battle.
౫వాళ్ళు పర్వత శిఖరాల మీద రథాలు పరుగులు పెడుతున్నట్టు వచ్చే శబ్దంతో దూకుతున్నారు. ఎండిన దుబ్బు మంటల్లో కాలుతుంటే వచ్చే శబ్దంలా, యుద్ధానికి సిద్ధమైన గొప్ప సేనలా ఉన్నారు.
6 At their presence people are in anguish and all their faces become pale.
౬వాటిని చూసి ప్రజలు అల్లాడిపోతున్నారు, అందరి ముఖాలు పాలిపోతున్నాయి.
7 They run like mighty warriors; they climb the walls like soldiers; they march, every one in step, and do not break their ranks.
౭అవి శూరుల్లాగా పరుగెడుతున్నాయి. సైనికుల్లాగా అవి గోడలెక్కుతున్నాయి. అటూ ఇటూ తిరుగకుండా అవన్నీ తిన్నగా నడుస్తున్నాయి.
8 Neither does one thrust another aside; they march, each in his path; they break through the defenses and do not fall out of line.
౮ఒకదానినొకటి తోసుకోకుండా తమ దారిలో చక్కగా పోతున్నాయి. ఆయుధాలు ఎదుర్కొన్నా వరుస తప్పవు.
9 They rush on the city, they run on the wall, they climb in the houses, and they go through the windows like thieves.
౯పట్టణంలో చొరబడుతున్నాయి. గోడల మీద పరుగెడుతూ దొంగల్లాగా కిటికీల గుండా ఇళ్ళల్లోకి వస్తున్నాయి.
10 The earth shakes in front of them, the heavens tremble, the sun and the moon are darkened, and the stars stop shining.
౧౦వాటి ముందు భూమి కంపిస్తున్నది, ఆకాశాలు వణుకుతున్నాయి. సూర్యచంద్రులకు చీకటి కమ్ముకుంది. నక్షత్రాలు కాంతి తప్పుతున్నాయి.
11 Yahweh raises his voice in front of his army, for his warriors are very numerous; for they are strong, those who carry out his commands. For the day of Yahweh is great and very terrible. Who can survive it?
౧౧యెహోవా తన సైన్యం ముందు తన స్వరం పెంచాడు, ఆయన యోధులు చాలా ఎక్కువమంది. ఆయన ఆజ్ఞలను నెరవేర్చేవారు బలవంతులు. యెహోవా దినం గొప్పది, మహా భయంకరమైనది. దాన్ని ఎవరు వైపుకోగలరు?
12 “Yet even now,” says Yahweh, “Return to me with all your heart. Fast, weep, and mourn.”
౧౨యెహోవా ఇలా అంటున్నాడు, “ఇప్పుడైనా, ఉపవాసముండి కన్నీళ్ళు కారుస్తూ దుఃఖిస్తూ హృదయపూర్వకంగా నాదగ్గరికి తిరిగి రండి.”
13 Tear your heart and not only your garments, and return to Yahweh your God. For he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger and abundant in covenant faithfulness, and he would like to turn from inflicting punishment.
౧౩మీ యెహోవా దేవుడు అత్యంత కృప గలవాడూ దయగలవాడు. త్వరగా కోపపడేవాడు కాదు. విస్తారంగా ప్రేమ చూపించేవాడు. శిక్షించాలనే తన మనస్సు మార్చుకునేవాడు. కాబట్టి మీ బట్టలు మాత్రమే కాక మీ హృదయాలను చింపుకుని ఆయన వైపు తిరగండి.
14 Who knows? Will he perhaps turn and have compassion, and leave a blessing behind him, a grain offering and a drink offering for Yahweh your God?
౧౪ఒకవేళ ఆయన మీ వైపు తిరిగి జాలి చూపుతాడేమో. మీరు మీ యెహోవా దేవునికి తగిన నైవేద్యాన్ని, పానార్పణాన్ని అర్పించేలా మిమ్మల్ని దీవిస్తాడేమో ఎవరికి తెలుసు?
15 Blow the trumpet in Zion, call for a holy fast, and call a holy assembly.
౧౫సీయోనులో బాకా ఊదండి. ఉపవాసదినం ప్రతిష్ఠించండి. సంఘంగా కూడండి.
16 Gather the people, call for the holy assembly. Assemble the elders, gather the children and the nursing infants. Let the bridegrooms come out of their rooms, and the brides out of their bridal chambers.
౧౬ప్రజలను సమకూర్చండి. సంఘాన్ని ప్రతిష్ఠించండి. పెద్దలను పిలిపించండి. పిల్లలనూ చంటి పిల్లలనూ తీసుకురండి. పెళ్లికొడుకులు తమ గదుల్లోనుంచి, పెళ్లికూతుళ్ళు తమ పెళ్లి గదుల్లోనుంచి రావాలి.
17 Let the priests, the servants of Yahweh, weep between the porch and the altar. Let them say, “Spare your people, Yahweh, and do not make your inheritance into an object of scorn, that the nations mock them. Why should they say among the nations, 'Where is their God?'”
౧౭యెహోవాకు పరిచర్యచేసే సేవకులు, యాజకులు మంటపానికీ బలిపీఠానికి మధ్య నిలబడి ఏడవాలి. “యెహోవా, నీ ప్రజలను కనికరించు. నీ సొత్తుగా ఉన్న వారిని సిగ్గుపడనివ్వకు. వారి మీద రాజ్యాలను ఏలనివ్వకు. వారి దేవుడు ఏమయ్యాడు? అని ఇతర ప్రజలు ఎందుకు చెప్పుకోవాలి?”
18 Then Yahweh was zealous for his land and had pity on his people.
౧౮అప్పుడు యెహోవా తన దేశాన్ని గురించి రోషంతో ఉన్నాడు. తన ప్రజల పట్ల జాలితో ఉన్నాడు.
19 Yahweh answered his people, “Look, I will send you grain, new wine, and oil. You will be satisfied with them, and I will no longer make you a disgrace among the nations.
౧౯యెహోవా తన ప్రజలకు ఇలా జవాబిచ్చాడు, “నేను మీకు ధాన్యం, కొత్త ద్రాక్షారసం, నూనె పంపిస్తాను. మీరు వాటితో తృప్తి చెందుతారు. ఇకనుంచి మరెన్నడూ మిమ్మల్ని ఇతర ప్రజల్లో అవమానానికి గురిచేయను.
20 I will remove the northern attackers far from you, and will drive them into a dry and abandoned land. The front of their army will go into the eastern sea, and the rear into the western sea. Its stench will rise, and its bad smell will rise.” Indeed, he has done great things.
౨౦ఉత్తర దిక్కు నుంచి వచ్చే సేనను మీకు దూరంగా పారదోలతాను. వారిని ఎండిపోయి, పాడైపోయిన ప్రాంతానికి తోలివేస్తాను. దాని ముందు భాగాన్ని తూర్పు సముద్రంలో, దాని వెనుక భాగాన్ని పడమటి సముద్రంలో పడేస్తాను. అది కంపు కొడుతుంది, చెడ్డవాసన వస్తుంది. నేను గొప్ప పనులు చేస్తాను.”
21 Do not fear, land, be glad and rejoice, for Yahweh will do great things.
౨౧దేశమా, భయపడక సంతోషించి గంతులు వెయ్యి. యెహోవా గొప్ప పనులు చేశాడు.
22 Do not fear, beasts of the field, for the pastures of the wilderness will sprout, the trees will bear their fruit, and the fig trees and the vines will yield their full harvest.
౨౨పశువులారా, భయపడవద్దు. గడ్డిబీళ్లలో పచ్చిక మొలుస్తుంది. చెట్లు కాయలు కాస్తాయి. అంజూరపుచెట్లు, ద్రాక్షచెట్లు సమృద్ధిగా ఫలిస్తాయి.
23 Be glad, people of Zion, and rejoice in Yahweh your God. For he will give you the autumn rain in due course and bring down showers for you, the autumn rain and the spring rain as before.
౨౩సీయోను ప్రజలారా, ఆనందించండి. మీ యెహోవా దేవుణ్ణి తలుచుకుని సంతోషించండి. ఆయన నీతి బట్టి మీ కోసం సరిపోయినంత తొలకరి వాన, వాన జల్లు పంపిస్తాడు. ముందులాగా తొలకరి వాన, కడవరి వాన కురిపిస్తాడు.
24 The threshing floors will be full of wheat, and the vats will overflow with new wine and oil.
౨౪కళ్ళాలు గోదుమ గింజలతో నిండి ఉంటాయి. కొత్త ద్రాక్షారసం, నూనెతో తొట్లు పొర్లి పారతాయి.
25 “I will restore to you the years of crops that the swarming locust has eaten —the great locust, the devouring locust, and the destroying locust— my mighty army that I sent among you.
౨౫“ఎగిరే మిడతల గుంపులూ పెద్ద మిడతలూ మిడత పిల్లలూ గొంగళి పురుగులూ, ఆ నా మహాసేన తినేసిన సంవత్సరాల పంటను మీకు మళ్ళీ ఇస్తాను.
26 You will eat plentifully and be full, and praise the name of Yahweh your God, who has done wonders among you, and I will never again bring shame on my people.
౨౬మీరు కడుపునిండా తిని తృప్తి పడతారు. మీ మధ్య చేసిన అద్భుతాలను బట్టి మీ యెహోవా దేవుని పేరును స్తుతిస్తారు. నా ప్రజలను ఇక ఎన్నటికీ సిగ్గుపడనివ్వను.
27 You will know that I am among Israel, and that I am Yahweh your God, and there is none else, and I will never bring shame on my people.
౨౭అప్పుడు ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల మధ్య ఉంది నేనే అనీ, నేనే మీ యెహోవా దేవుడిననీ, నేను తప్ప వేరే దేవుడు లేడనీ మీరు తెలుసుకుంటారు. నా ప్రజలను ఇక ఎన్నటికీ సిగ్గుపడనివ్వను.
28 It will come about afterward that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh, and your sons and your daughters will prophesy. Your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions.
౨౮తరువాత నేను ప్రజలందరి మీద నా ఆత్మను కుమ్మరిస్తాను. మీ కొడుకులూ మీ కూతుర్లూ ప్రవచనాలు చెబుతారు. మీ ముసలివారు కలలుకంటారు. మీ యువకులకు దర్శనాలు వస్తాయి.
29 Also on servants and female servants, in those days I will pour out my Spirit.
౨౯ఆ రోజుల్లో నేను పనివారి మీద నా ఆత్మను కుమ్మరిస్తాను.
30 I will show wonders in the heavens and on the earth, blood, fire, and pillars of smoke.
౩౦ఆకాశంలో అద్భుతాలు చూపిస్తాను. భూమ్మీద రక్తం, మంటలు, ఎత్తయిన పొగ కలిగిస్తాను.
31 The sun will turn into darkness and the moon into blood, before the great and terrible day of Yahweh comes.
౩౧యెహోవా భయంకరమైన ఆ మహాదినం రాకముందు సూర్యుడు చీకటిగా, చంద్రుడు రక్తంలా మారతాయి.
32 It will be that everyone who calls on the name of Yahweh will be saved. For on Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there will be those who escape, as Yahweh has said, and among the survivors, those whom Yahweh calls.
౩౨యెహోవా పేరున ప్రార్థనచేసే వారందరినీ కాపాడడం జరుగుతుంది. యెహోవా చెప్పినట్టు సీయోను కొండమీద, యెరూషలేములో తప్పించుకున్నవారుంటారు. యెహోవా ఏర్పాటు చేసుకున్నవాళ్ళు మిగులుతారు.”
