Joel 2
1 Blow the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm on my holy mountain! Let all the inhabitants of the land tremble in fear, for the day of Yahweh is coming; indeed, it is near.
सियोनमा तुरही फुक, र मेरो पवित्र पर्वतमा चेतावनी ध्वनि बजाओ! देशका सबै बासिन्दाहरू डरले थरथर होऊन्, किनकि परमप्रभुको दिन आउँदैछ, वास्तवमा, त्यो नजिकै छ ।
2 It is a day of darkness and gloom, a day of clouds and thick darkness. Like the dawn that spreads on the mountains, a large and mighty army is approaching. There has never been an army like it, and there never will be again, even after many generations.
यो अन्धकार र उदासको दिन हो, बादलहरू र बाक्लो अन्धकारको दिन हो । जसरी पर्वतहरूमा झिसमिसे बिहानी फैलिन्छ, त्यसरी नै एउटा ठुलो र शक्तिशाली सेना नजिक आउँदैछ । त्यस्तो सेना पहिले कहिल्यै थिएन, अनि पुस्तौं-पुस्ता पछिसम्म पनि, त्यहाँ त्यस्तो फेरि कहिल्यै हुनेछैन ।
3 A fire is consuming everything in front of it, and behind it a flame is burning. The land is like the garden of Eden in front of it, but behind it there is a ruined wilderness. Indeed, nothing will escape from it.
त्यसको अगाडिका सबै कुरालाई आगोले भष्म पार्दैछ, र त्यसको पछाडि आगोको ज्वाला बलिरहेको छ । त्यसको अगाडिको देश अदनको बगैंचाजस्तो छ, तर त्यसको पछाडि एउटा नाश भएको उजाड-स्थान छ । त्यसबाट कुनै कुरा फुत्कनेछैन ।
4 The army's appearance is like horses, and they run like horsemen.
त्यो सेना घोडाहरूझैं देखा पर्छ, र तिनीहरू घोडचढीहरूझैं दौडन्छन् ।
5 They jump with a noise like that of chariots on the tops of the mountains, like the noise of fiery flames that devour the stubble, like a mighty army ready for battle.
पर्वतहरूका टाकुराहरूमा रथहरूले गरेझैं, झिंजाहरू भस्म पार्ने भयङ्कर ज्वालाको आवाजझैं, युद्धको निम्ति तयार भएको शक्तिशाली सेनाझैं, आवाज गरेर तिनीहरू उफ्रन्छन् ।
6 At their presence people are in anguish and all their faces become pale.
तिनीहरूको उपस्थितिले मानिसहरू वेदनामा पर्छन्, अनि तिनीहरूका सम्पूर्ण अनुहार पहेंलो हुन्छ ।
7 They run like mighty warriors; they climb the walls like soldiers; they march, every one in step, and do not break their ranks.
शक्तिशाली लडाकुहरूझैं तिनीहरू दौडन्छन्, सेनाहरूझैं तिनीहरू पर्खालहरूमा चढ्छन्, तिनीहरू हरेक व्यक्ति पङ्तिवद्ध भएर हिंड्छन्, र आफ्नो पङ्तिलाई बिगार्दैनन् ।
8 Neither does one thrust another aside; they march, each in his path; they break through the defenses and do not fall out of line.
न त एउटाले अर्कालाई धक्का दिन्छन् । तिनीहरू प्रत्येक नै आ-आफ्नै बाटोमा हिंड्छन् । तिनीहरू सुरक्षाबलहरूलाई तोड्दै अघि बढ्छन्, र आफ्नो लाइनभन्दा बाहिर पुग्दैनन् ।
9 They rush on the city, they run on the wall, they climb in the houses, and they go through the windows like thieves.
तिनीहरूले सहरलाई आक्रमण गर्छन्, तिनीहरू पर्खालमा दौडन्छन्, तिनीहरू घरहरूमाथि चढ्छन्, र चोरहरूझैं तिनीहरू झ्यालहरूबाट भित्र जान्छन् ।
10 The earth shakes in front of them, the heavens tremble, the sun and the moon are darkened, and the stars stop shining.
तिनीहरूको अगि पृथ्वी काम्छ, आकाश थरथर हुन्छ, सूर्य र चन्द्रमा अँध्यारो हुन्छन्, अनि ताराहरू चम्कन छोड्छन् ।
11 Yahweh raises his voice in front of his army, for his warriors are very numerous; for they are strong, those who carry out his commands. For the day of Yahweh is great and very terrible. Who can survive it?
परमप्रभुले आफ्नो सेनाको सामु ठुलो सोरले कराउनुहुन्छ, किनकि उहाँका योद्धाहरू असङ्ख्य छन्, किनकि उहाँका आज्ञा पालन गर्नेहरू, ती बलिया छन् । किनकि परमप्रभुको दिन महान् र अत्यन्तै भयानक हुन्छ । त्यसबाट को बाँच्न सक्छ र?
12 “Yet even now,” says Yahweh, “Return to me with all your heart. Fast, weep, and mourn.”
परमप्रभु भन्नुहुन्छ “अहिले पनि, आफ्ना सारा हृदयले मकाहाँ फर्क । उपवास बस, रोओ, र विलाप गर ।”
13 Tear your heart and not only your garments, and return to Yahweh your God. For he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger and abundant in covenant faithfulness, and he would like to turn from inflicting punishment.
आफ्ना लुगामात्र होइन तर आफ्ना हृदय पनि धुजाधुजा पार, र परमप्रभु आफ्ना परमेश्वरकाहाँ फर्क । किनकि उहाँ अनुग्रही र कृपापूर्ण, रिसाउनमा ढिला र करारको विश्वसततामा प्रशस्त हुनुहुन्छ, र दण्डको पिडा दिनबाट उहाँ पर्कन चाहनुहुन्न ।
14 Who knows? Will he perhaps turn and have compassion, and leave a blessing behind him, a grain offering and a drink offering for Yahweh your God?
कसले जान्दछ? सायद उहाँ पर्कनुहुन्छ, र दया देखाउनुहुन्छ, र आफ्नो पछि आशिष् छोड्नुहुन्छ, तिमीहरूका परमप्रभु परमेश्वरका निम्ति अन्नबलि र अर्घबलि दिनुहुन्छ कि?
15 Blow the trumpet in Zion, call for a holy fast, and call a holy assembly.
सियोनमा तुरही फुक, पवित्र उपवासको आव्हान गर, र पवित्र सभा बोलाओ ।
16 Gather the people, call for the holy assembly. Assemble the elders, gather the children and the nursing infants. Let the bridegrooms come out of their rooms, and the brides out of their bridal chambers.
मानिसहरूलाई भेला गराओ, पवित्र सभा बोलाओ । धर्मगुरुहरूलाई भेला गर, बालबालिका र दूधे बालकहरूलाई भेला गराओ । दुलहाहरू आफ्ना कोठाहरूबाट बाहिर आऊन्, अनि दुलहीहरू आफ्ना सृङ्गारका कोठाहरूबाट बाहिर आऊन् ।
17 Let the priests, the servants of Yahweh, weep between the porch and the altar. Let them say, “Spare your people, Yahweh, and do not make your inheritance into an object of scorn, that the nations mock them. Why should they say among the nations, 'Where is their God?'”
पुजारीहरू, परमप्रभुका सेवकहरू, दलान र वेदीको बिचमा रोऊन् । तिनीहरूले यसो भनून्, “हे परमप्रभु, आफ्ना मानिसहरू बाँकी राख्नुहोस्, र आफ्नो उत्तराधिकारलाई घृणाको पात्र बन्न नदिनुहोस्, र जातिहरूले तिनीहरूको गिल्ला नगरून् । तिनीहरूले जातिहरूका बिचमा यस्तो किन भन्नू, ‘तिनीहरूका परमेश्वर कहाँ छ?’”
18 Then Yahweh was zealous for his land and had pity on his people.
आफ्नो देशको निम्ति परमप्रभु डाही हुनुभयो र आफ्ना मानिसहरूलाई दया देखाउनुभयो ।
19 Yahweh answered his people, “Look, I will send you grain, new wine, and oil. You will be satisfied with them, and I will no longer make you a disgrace among the nations.
परमप्रभुले आफ्ना मानिसहरूलाई जवाफ दिनुभयो, “हेर, म तिमीहरूका निम्ति अन्न, नयाँ दाखमद्य, र तेल पठाउनेछु । ती कुराहरूले तिमीहरू सन्तुष्ट हुनेछौ, र तिमीहरूलाई फेरि म जातिहरूका बिचमा अपमानित तुल्याउनेछैनँ ।
20 I will remove the northern attackers far from you, and will drive them into a dry and abandoned land. The front of their army will go into the eastern sea, and the rear into the western sea. Its stench will rise, and its bad smell will rise.” Indeed, he has done great things.
उत्तरबाट आक्रमण गर्नेहरूलाई म तिमीहरूबाट टाढा हटाइदिनेछु, र तिनीहरूलाई एउटा सुक्खा र त्यागिएको देशमा लखेटिदिनेछु । तिनीहरूको सेनाको अग्रपङ्क्ति पूर्वीय समुद्रमा, अनि पछिल्लो पङ्क्तिचाहिं पश्चिमी समुद्रमा जानेछ । त्यसको दुर्गन्ध माथि उठ्नेछ, त्यसको सडेको दुर्गन्ध माथि उठ्नेछ ।” निश्चय नै उहाँले महान् काम गर्नुभएको छ ।
21 Do not fear, land, be glad and rejoice, for Yahweh will do great things.
ए देश, नडरा, रमाहट गर र आनन्दित हो, किनकि परमप्रभुले महान् काम गर्नुहुनेछ ।
22 Do not fear, beasts of the field, for the pastures of the wilderness will sprout, the trees will bear their fruit, and the fig trees and the vines will yield their full harvest.
ए मैदानका पशुहरू हो, नडराओ, किनकि उजाड-स्थानका खर्कहरूमा पलाउनेछन्, र बोटहरूले आफ्ना फलहरू दिनेछन्, र नेभाराका बोटहरू र दाखका बोटहरूले आ-आफ्ना फसल पुरा रूपमा दिनेछन् ।
23 Be glad, people of Zion, and rejoice in Yahweh your God. For he will give you the autumn rain in due course and bring down showers for you, the autumn rain and the spring rain as before.
ए सियोनका मानिस हो, खुशी होओ, आफ्ना परमप्रभु परमेश्वरमा आनन्दित होओ । किनकि उहाँले ठिक समयमा चाँडै शरदको वर्षा दिनुहुनेछ, र तिमीहरूका निम्ति झरी पार्नुहुनेछ, पहिलेझैं नै शरद् र बसन्तका दुवै झरी हुनेछन् ।
24 The threshing floors will be full of wheat, and the vats will overflow with new wine and oil.
खलाहरू गहुँले भरिनेछन्, र घ्याम्पोहरू नयाँ दाखमद्य र तेलले भरिएर पोखिनेछन् ।
25 “I will restore to you the years of crops that the swarming locust has eaten —the great locust, the devouring locust, and the destroying locust— my mighty army that I sent among you.
“बथानमा हिंड्ने सलहले— ठुला सलह, सखाप पार्ने सलह र नाश गर्ने सलहले — मैले तिमीहरूका बिचमा पठाएको मेरो शक्तिशाली सेनाले, वर्षौंदेखि खाएको बालीको म तिमीहरूलाई क्षतिपुर्ति दिनेछु ।
26 You will eat plentifully and be full, and praise the name of Yahweh your God, who has done wonders among you, and I will never again bring shame on my people.
तिमीहरू प्रशस्त गरी खानेछौ र भरपेट हुनेछौ, र आफ्ना परमप्रभु परमेश्वरको नाउँको प्रशंसा गर्नेछौ, जसले तिमीहरूका बिचमा अचम्मका काम गर्नुएको छ, र म कहिल्यै आफ्ना मानिसहरूमा जाल ल्याउनेछैनँ ।
27 You will know that I am among Israel, and that I am Yahweh your God, and there is none else, and I will never bring shame on my people.
म इस्राएलको बिचमा छु भनी तिमीहरूले जान्नेछौ, र म नै परमप्रभु तिमीहरूका परमेश्वर हुँ, र त्यहाँ अर्को कोही पनि छैन, र म कहिल्यै आफ्ना मानिसहरूमा लाज ल्याउनेछैनँ ।
28 It will come about afterward that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh, and your sons and your daughters will prophesy. Your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions.
केही समयपछि सबै मानिसमाथि, म आफ्नो आत्मा खन्याउनेछु, र तिमीहरूका छोराहरू र छोरीहरूले अगमवाणी बोल्नेछन् । तिमीहरूका वृद्ध मानिसहरूले सपनाहरू देख्नेछन्, र तिमीहरूका जवान मानिसहरूले दर्शनहरू देख्नेछन् ।
29 Also on servants and female servants, in those days I will pour out my Spirit.
साथै ती दिनहरूमा दासहरू र दासीहरूमा, म आफ्नो आत्माबाट खन्याउनेछु ।
30 I will show wonders in the heavens and on the earth, blood, fire, and pillars of smoke.
आकाश र पृथ्वीमा अचम्मका कामहरू, रगत, आगो, र धूँवाका मुस्लाहरू म देखाउनेछु ।
31 The sun will turn into darkness and the moon into blood, before the great and terrible day of Yahweh comes.
परमप्रभुको त्यो महान् र भयानक दिन आउनुअघि, सूर्य अन्धकारमा अनि चन्द्रमा रगतमा परिवर्तन हुनेछ ।
32 It will be that everyone who calls on the name of Yahweh will be saved. For on Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there will be those who escape, as Yahweh has said, and among the survivors, those whom Yahweh calls.
परमप्रभुको नाउँ पुकार्ने हरेक व्यक्ति बचाइनेछ । किनकि जस्तो परमप्रभुले भन्नुभएको छ, सियोन पर्वतमा र यरूशलेममा छुटकारा पाएका मानिसहरू हुनेछन्, जसलाई परमप्रभुले बोलाउनुहुन्छ ।
