< Job 8 >

1 Then Bildad the Shuhite answered and said,
Hichun Shuh mi Bildad in Job chu adonbut e:
2 “How long will you say these things? How long will the words of your mouth be a mighty wind?
Hitia hi itih chan naum nah lai ding ham? Nathusei chu kichat umtah huinung gin abange.
3 Does God pervert justice? Does the Almighty pervert righteousness?
Pathenin thutah chu aletun ding ham? Hatchungnung pa chun adih chu aletun khah em?
4 Your children have sinned against him; we know this, for he gave them into the hand of their sins.
Nachate chun ama douna a chonset anabollu hitei ding ahi, hiijeh a chu ahibep seuva ki engbollu ahi.
5 But suppose you diligently sought God and presented your request to the Almighty.
Ahinlah Pathen koma taova chule Hatchungnung pa lunglhaina naholla ahileh
6 If you are pure and upright, then he would surely stir himself on your behalf and restore you to your rightful place.
Chule atheng nahija, lung thengsella nahin leh aman atahbeh a nakai thouva na inchen kipana a nasem phat peh ding ahi.
7 Even though your beginning was small, still your final condition would be much greater.
Chule lhomchan kipan jongle chun tamtah'a nachai ding ahi.
8 Please ask the former generations, and give your attention to what our ancestors learned.
Khang masalai chu dongin lang pule paten ana mudoh sao hug ah ngaiton,
9 (We were only born yesterday and know nothing because our days on earth are a shadow).
Ijeh inem itile eiho janhi bepma peng ihiuvin imacha ihepouve. Leisetna ihin nikho u jong nilim cheloi loi tobangbep ahi.
10 Will they not teach you and tell you? Will they not speak words from their hearts?
Ahin eiho masanga hunghon nahil uvintin, amahon gollui lai thu nahil diu ahi.
11 Can papyrus grow without a marsh? Can reeds grow without water?
Doplah hilouva umping sangtah'a khang theija, doplah hampa chu twibeija khang theijem?
12 While they are still green and not cut down, they wither before any other plant.
Satlhah phat lou laiya apah jing laijun jong hampa ho sanga gang jon agoplha ji tauve.
13 So also are the paths of all who forget God; the hope of the godless will perish.
Chutobang chu Pathen sumil te chunga jong chu ji ahin, Pathen neiloute kinepna chu twihu banga mang ji ahi.
14 His confidence will break apart, and his trust is as weak as a spider's web.
Atahsan nao jong patjanga kikhai ahin, amachu maimom panna kingai ahiuve.
15 He leans on his house, but it will not support him; he takes hold of it, but it does not stand.
Amahon ahoidoh nadiuvin ainnu atuh un ahinlah dding joupoi, amahon hatuh a tuh ding agot vangun adou jou deh poi.
16 Under the sun he is green, and his shoots go out over his entire garden.
Pathen neilou khu nisa noija khangdoh hampa abah ho honsung jamdoh a tobang ahiuve.
17 His roots are wrapped about the heaps of stone; they look for good places among the rocks.
Song kise thom lah a ajung kholutna, songho kah a hing ahi.
18 But if this person is destroyed out of his place, then that place will deny him and say, 'I never saw you.'
Ahinlah akibodoh tengleh anaum khalou bangin te.
19 See, this is the “joy” of such a person's behavior; other plants will sprout out of the same soil in his place.
Hichu ahinkho kichaina ahitan, chule amun lo khel dingin adang hung kehdoh tante.
20 See, God will not cast away an innocent man; neither will he take the hand of evildoers.
Ahin ven Pathen in milung thengho apaidoh lou ding, migilou dinga jong akhut alhan doh lou ding ahi.
21 He will yet fill your mouth with laughter, your lips with shouting.
Aman khatvei kipah tah a nanuisah kitna, chule nane tenia kipathu nasap doh ding ahi.
22 Those who hate you will be clothed with shame; the tent of the wicked will be no more.”
Nangma vetda ho chun jachatna ponsilla akisilluva chule migiloute chenna in chu kisumang ding ahi.
