Job 41
1 Can you draw out Leviathan with a fishhook? Or tie up his jaws with a cord?
૧શું તું સમુદ્રના મહાકાય મગરમચ્છને તેને પકડવાના આંકડાથી પકડી શકે છે? અથવા શું તું તેની જીભને દોરીથી બાંધી શકે છે?
2 Can you put a rope into his nose, or pierce his jaw through with a hook?
૨શું તું તેના નાકને વીંધી શકે છે, અથવા તેના જડબામાં આંકડી ભરાવી શકે છે?
3 Will he make many pleas to you? Will he speak soft words to you?
૩શું તે તારી સમક્ષ આજીજી કરશે? શું તે તારી સાથે નમ્રતાથી બોલશે?
4 Will he make a covenant with you, that you should take him for a servant forever?
૪શું તે તારી સાથે એવો કરાર કરશે કે, તું તેને આજીવન તારો ગુલામ બનાવવા સંમત થશે?
5 Will you play with him as you would with a bird? Will you tie him up for your servant girls?
૫તું જેમ પક્ષીની સાથે તેમ તેની સાથે રમી શકશે? શું તું તેને દોરડેથી બાંધશે જેથી તારી કુમારિકાઓ તેની સાથે રમી શકે?
6 Will the groups of fishermen bargain for him? Will they divide him up to trade among the merchants?
૬શું માછીઓ તેનો પાર કરશે? શું તેઓ તેને વેપારીઓની વચ્ચે વહેંચી નાખશે?
7 Can you fill his hide with harpoons or his head with fishing spears?
૭શું તીક્ષ્ણ બાણથી તેની ચામડીને છેદી શકાય અથવા શું અણીદાર માછલીના કાંટાથી તેના માથામાં ભોંકી શકાય?
8 Put your hand on him just once, and you will remember the battle and do it no more.
૮તારો હાથ તેના પર મૂકી જો, ત્યારે જે યુદ્ધ થાય તેને યાદ કરીને તું ફરી એવું કરીશ નહિ.
9 See, the hope of anyone who does that is a lie; will not anyone be thrown down to the ground just by the sight of him?
૯જો, જે કોઈ તેની આશા રાખે છે તેને નિષ્ફળતા મળશે. શું એમાંથી કોઈને તેની જ નજીક ફેંકી દેવામાં નહિ આવે?
10 None is so fierce that he dare stir Leviathan up; who, then, is he who can stand before me?
૧૦તેને છંછેડીને ગુસ્સે કરે એવો હિંમતવાળો કોઈ નથી. તો પછી કોણ, તેની સામે ઊભો રહી શકે?
11 Who has first given anything to me in order that I should repay him? Whatever is under the whole sky is mine.
૧૧તેની સાથે યુદ્ધ કરીને કોણ સફળ થયો છે? આખા આકાશ તળે એવો કોઈ નથી.
12 I will not keep silent concerning Leviathan's legs, nor about the matter of his strength, nor about his graceful form.
૧૨તેના અવયવો, તેનું બળ, અથવા તેના શરીરના આકર્ષક આકાર વિષે હું ચૂપ રહીશ નહિ.
13 Who can strip off his outer covering? Who can penetrate his double armor?
૧૩તેના વસ્ત્રને કોણ ઉતારી શકે છે? કોણ તેનાં બેવડાં જડબામાં પ્રવેશી શકે છે?
14 Who can open the doors of his face— ringed with his teeth, which are a terror?
૧૪તેના દાંત જે લોકોને બીવડાવે છે, એવા દાંતવાળા તેના મુખના દરવાજા કોણ ખોલી શકે?
15 his back is made up of rows of shields, tight together as with a close seal.
૧૫તેનાં મજબૂત ભીંગડાંનું તેને અભિમાન છે, તેઓ એકબીજા સાથે સંપૂર્ણપણે સજ્જડ છે.
16 One is so near to another that no air can come between them.
૧૬તેઓનાં ભીંગડાં એક બીજાની સાથે એવાં તો જટિલ રીતે જોડાયેલાં છે, કે તેમની વચ્ચે હવા પણ જઈ શકતી નથી.
17 They are joined to each other; they stick together, so that they cannot be pulled apart.
૧૭તેઓ એકબીજા સાથે એવાં સજ્જડ ચોટેલાં છે; તેઓ એકબીજા સાથે એવાં સજ્જ છે, કે તેઓ એકબીજાથી અલગ થઈ શકે નહિ.
18 Light flashes out from his snorting; his eyes are like the eyelids of the morning dawn.
૧૮તે છીંકે છે ત્યારે તે વીજળીના ચમકારા બહાર નીકળતા હોય એવું લાગે છે; તેની આંખો સવારના ઊગતા સૂર્યની જેમ ચમકે છે.
19 Out of his mouth go burning torches, sparks of fire leap out.
૧૯તેના મુખમાંથી અગ્નિની જ્વાળાઓ નીકળે છે, અને અગ્નિની ચિનગારીઓ બહાર આવે છે.
20 Out of his nostrils goes smoke like a boiling pot on a fire that has been fanned to be very hot.
૨૦ઊકળતા ઘડા નીચે બળતી મશાલોની વરાળની માફક, તેના નાકમાંથી ધુમાડા નીકળે છે.
21 His breath kindles coals into flame; fires go out from his mouth.
૨૧તેનો શ્વાસોચ્છવાસ કોલસા પણ સળગાવી દે છે; તેના મુખમાંથી અગ્નિ ભભૂકે છે.
22 In his neck is strength, and terror dances in front of him.
૨૨તેની ગરદનમાં બળ છે, તેના ત્રાસથી જાનવરો તેની આગળ થરથરે છે
23 The folds of his flesh are joined together; they are firm on him; they cannot be moved.
૨૩તેના માંસના લોચા એકબીજા સાથે ચોંટેલા છે; તેઓ તેના અંગ પર એવા સજડ બંધાયેલા છે કે; તેઓ ખસી પણ શકતા નથી.
24 His heart is as hard as a stone— indeed, as hard as a lower millstone.
૨૪તેનું હૃદય પથ્થર જેવું મજબૂત છે, તેને કોઈ ડર નથી નિશ્ચે તેનું હૃદય ઘંટીના પડ જેવું સખત છે.
25 When he raises himself up, even the gods become afraid; because of fear, they draw back.
૨૫જ્યારે તે ઊભો થાય છે, ત્યારે સર્વ દેવો પણ તેનાથી ડરી જાય છે; અને બીકને કારણે તેઓ ભાગી જાય છે.
26 If a sword strikes him, it does nothing— and neither does a spear, an arrow, or any other pointed weapon.
૨૬જો તેને કોઈ તલવારથી મારે, તો પણ તેને કંઈ થતું નથી, અને ભાલો, બાણ અથવા તો અણીદાર શસ્ત્ર પણ તેને કંઈ કરી શકતાં નથી.
27 He thinks of iron as if it were straw, and of bronze as if it were rotten wood.
૨૭તેની આગળ લોખંડ ઘાસ જેવું, અને કાંસુ સડી ગયેલા લાકડા જેવું છે.
28 An arrow cannot make him flee; to him sling stones become chaff.
૨૮બાણ પણ તેને નસાડી શકતું નથી; પથ્થરો તો તેની નજરમાં ખૂંપરા બની જાય છે.
29 Clubs are regarded as straw; he laughs at the whirring flight of a spear.
૨૯લાકડાની ડાંગો જાણે તેને સળીના ટુકડા હોય તેમ લાગે છે; અને તેની ઉપર ફેંકેલા ભાલાને તે હસી કાઢે છે.
30 His lower parts are like sharp pieces of broken pottery; he leaves a spreading trail in the mud as if he were a threshing sledge.
૩૦તેના પેટની ચામડી ઠીકરા જેવી તીક્ષ્ણ છે; અને તેના ચાલવાથી કાદવમાં ચાસ જેવાં નિશાન પડે છે.
31 He makes the deep to foam up like a pot of boiling water; he makes the sea like a pot of ointment.
૩૧અને તે ઊંડાણને ઊકળતા પાણીના ઘડાની માફક હલાવે છે; તે સમુદ્રને તેલની માફક જાણે પરપોટા થતા હોય તેમ ઊડાવે છે.
32 He makes a shining wake behind him; one would think the deep had gray hair.
૩૨તે તેની પાછળ ચમકતો માર્ગ બનાવે છે; કોઈ સમજે છે કે ઊંડાણ સફેદ છે.
33 On earth there is no equal to him, who has been made to live without fear.
૩૩પૃથ્વી પર તેના જેવું બીજું કોઈ પ્રાણી નથી, તે નિર્ભયપણે જીવવાને સૃજાયેલું છે.
34 He sees everything that is proud; he is king over all the sons of pride.”
૩૪“તે સર્વ ઊંચી વસ્તુઓને જુએ છે; તે સર્વ ગર્વિષ્ઠોનો રાજા છે.”
