Job 40
1 Yahweh continued to speak to Job; he said,
И тако одговарајући Господ Јову рече:
2 “Should anyone who wishes to criticize try to correct the Almighty? He who argues with God, let him answer.”
Ко се препире с Богом, хоће ли га учити? Који куди Бога, нека одговори на то.
3 Then Job answered Yahweh and said,
Тада Јов одговори Господу и рече:
4 “See, I am insignificant; how can I answer you? I put my hand over my mouth.
Гле, ја сам мален, шта бих Ти одговорио? Мећем руку своју на уста своја.
5 I spoke once, and I will not answer; indeed, twice, but I will proceed no further.”
Једном говорих, али нећу одговарати; и другом, али нећу више.
6 Then Yahweh answered Job out of a fierce storm and said,
А Господ опет одговарајући Јову из вихора рече:
7 “Now gird up your loins like a man, for I will ask you questions, and you must answer me.
Опаши се сада као човек; ја ћу те питати, а ти ми казуј.
8 Will you actually say that I am unjust? Will you condemn me so you may claim you are right?
Хоћеш ли ти уништити мој суд? Хоћеш ли мене осудити да би себе оправдао?
9 Do you have an arm like God's? Can you thunder with a voice like him?
Је ли у тебе мишица као у Бога? Грмиш ли гласом као Он?
10 Now clothe yourself in glory and dignity; array yourself in honor and majesty.
Окити се сада чашћу и величанством, у славу и красоту обуци се.
11 Scatter around the excess of your anger; look at everyone who is proud and bring him down.
Проспи јарост гнева свог, и погледај све поносите, и обори их.
12 Look at everyone who is proud and bring him low; trample down wicked people where they stand.
Погледај све поносите, и понизи их, и потри безбожнике на месту њиховом.
13 Bury them in the earth together; imprison their faces in the hidden place.
Затрпај их све у прах, и повежи им лице на скривеном месту.
14 Then will I also acknowledge about you that your own right hand can save you.
Тада ћу те и ја хвалити да те чува десница твоја.
15 Look now at the behemoth, which I made when I made you; he eats grass like an ox.
А гле, слон, ког сам створио с тобом, једе траву као во;
16 See now, his strength is in his loins; his power is in his belly's muscles.
Гле, снага му је у бедрима његовим, и сила му је у пупку трбуха његовог;
17 He makes his tail like a cedar; the sinews of his thighs are joined together.
Диже реп свој као кедар, жиле од јаја његових сплетене су као гране;
18 His bones are like tubes of bronze; his legs are like bars of iron.
Кости су му као цеви бронзане, зглавци као полуге гвоздене.
19 He is the chief of the creatures of God. Only God, who made him, can defeat him.
Он је прво између дела Божијих, Творац његов дао му је мач.
20 For the hills provide him with food; the beasts of the field play nearby.
Горе носе му пићу, и све зверје пољско игра се онде.
21 He lies under the lotus plants in the shelter of the reeds, in the marshes.
У хладу леже, у густој трсци и глибу.
22 The lotus plants cover him with their shade; the willows of the brook are all around him.
Граната дрвета заклањају га сеном својим, и опкољавају га врбе на потоцима.
23 See, if a river floods its banks, he does not tremble; he is confident, though the Jordan should surge up to his mouth.
Гле, уставља реку да не тече, узда се да ће испити Јордан губицом својом.
24 Can anyone capture him with a hook, or pierce his nose through with a snare?
Хоће ли га ко ухватити на очи његове? Замку му провући кроз нос?
