< Job 40 >

1 Yahweh continued to speak to Job; he said,
Angraeng mah Job khaeah,
2 “Should anyone who wishes to criticize try to correct the Almighty? He who argues with God, let him answer.”
thacak Angraeng mah thuitaek ih kami loe lok angaek vop tih maw? Sithaw kasaethui kami mah pathim nasoe, tiah a naa.
3 Then Job answered Yahweh and said,
To naah Job mah, Angraeng khaeah,
4 “See, I am insignificant; how can I answer you? I put my hand over my mouth.
Khenah, kai loe tidoeh avang ai kami ah ka oh; kawbangmaw nang kang pathim thai tih? Ka ban hoiah pakha ka tamuep khoep han boeh.
5 I spoke once, and I will not answer; indeed, twice, but I will proceed no further.”
Lok vaito ka thuih, toe ka pathim mak ai: ue, vai hnetto ka thuih moeng boeh; toe ka thui let mak ai boeh.
6 Then Yahweh answered Job out of a fierce storm and said,
To naah Angraeng mah takhi thung hoiah Job khaeah,
7 “Now gird up your loins like a man, for I will ask you questions, and you must answer me.
nongpa baktiah kaengkaeh to angzaeng ah; kang dueng ih lok hae na pathim ah.
8 Will you actually say that I am unjust? Will you condemn me so you may claim you are right?
Ka lokcaekhaih na phraek han maw? Na toeng thai hanah, kai zaehaih nang net han maw?
9 Do you have an arm like God's? Can you thunder with a voice like him?
Sithaw baktiah ban na tawnh maw? Anih baktiah khopazih tuen na tacawtsak thai maw?
10 Now clothe yourself in glory and dignity; array yourself in honor and majesty.
Na tacawtsak thaih nahaeloe, lensawkhaih hoi azathaih to angkhuk ah loe, lensawkhaih hoi kranghoihhaih hoiah amthoep ah.
11 Scatter around the excess of your anger; look at everyone who is proud and bring him down.
Palung na phuihaih to pakhrawt ah; amoek kaminawk to khenh loe, pahnaem tathuk ah.
12 Look at everyone who is proud and bring him low; trample down wicked people where they stand.
Amoek kaminawk to khenh loe, ahnaemsak ah; kasae kaminawk to angmacae angdoethaih ahmuen ah atii ah.
13 Bury them in the earth together; imprison their faces in the hidden place.
Nihcae to maiphu thungah nawnto aphum ah, nihcae ih mikhmai to khoving thungah khuk ah.
14 Then will I also acknowledge about you that your own right hand can save you.
To tiah na sak nahaeloe na bantang mah nangmah to pahlong thai tih, tiah ka thuih han, tiah a naa.
15 Look now at the behemoth, which I made when I made you; he eats grass like an ox.
Nang hoi nawnto ka sak ih, Behemoth to khenah, anih loe maitaw baktiah qam to caak.
16 See now, his strength is in his loins; his power is in his belly's muscles.
Khenah, anih thacakhaih loe kaeng ah oh moe, a zok hin ah doeh thacakhaih to oh.
17 He makes his tail like a cedar; the sinews of his thighs are joined together.
Anih ih tamai loe Sidar thing baktiah ahaek, a phaih thaquinawk loe nawnto angbok.
18 His bones are like tubes of bronze; his legs are like bars of iron.
Anih ih ahuhnawk loe sumboeng kamling baktiah oh moe, anih ih panakhuhnawk loe sum baktiah oh.
19 He is the chief of the creatures of God. Only God, who made him, can defeat him.
Anih loe Sithaw mah sak ih hmuen thungah hmaloe koekah oh; toe anih sahkung mah anih to angmah ih sumsen hoiah hmang tih.
20 For the hills provide him with food; the beasts of the field play nearby.
Mae nuiah kapra moi loe anih ih rawkcaak ah oh, taw ih moinawk loe to ahmuen ah prat o boih.
21 He lies under the lotus plants in the shelter of the reeds, in the marshes.
Anih loe kahoih tahlip thingkung tlim ah tabok moe, tangnong ohhaih ahmuen ah kamprawk akung tlim ah anghawk.
22 The lotus plants cover him with their shade; the willows of the brook are all around him.
To thingkung tahlip mah anih to khuk moe, vacong ah kamprawk akungnawk mah anih to takui o khoep.
23 See, if a river floods its banks, he does not tremble; he is confident, though the Jordan should surge up to his mouth.
Khenah, anih loe kalen tuipui to tiah doeh sah ai; Jordan vapui anih ih pakha khoek to pha aep to mah angoephaih to a tawnh.
24 Can anyone capture him with a hook, or pierce his nose through with a snare?
Anih to naeh thai tih maw? Thaang pongah amansak ueloe, a hnah to daw pae thai tih maw?
