Job 37
1 Indeed, my heart trembles at this; it is moved out of its place.
“Tim tôi run rẩy trước cảnh tượng uy nghiêm. Như muốn nhảy vọt khỏi lồng ngực.
2 Hear, oh, hear the noise of his voice, the sound that goes out from his mouth.
Hãy lắng nghe tiếng Đức Chúa Trời vang rền như sấm, nghe kỹ âm thanh phát ra từ miệng Ngài
3 He sends it out under the whole sky, and he sends out his lightning to the edges of the earth.
Chúa phát tiếng vang dội khắp các tầng trời, phóng chớp nhoáng đến tận cùng mặt đất.
4 A voice roars after it; he thunders with the voice of his majesty; he does not restrain the lightning bolts when his voice is heard.
Rồi có tiếng ầm ầm dữ dội, Chúa cất giọng uy nghiêm như sấm nổ, Ngài lên tiếng, cho chớp nhoáng mặc sức tung hoành.
5 God thunders marvelously with his voice; he does great things that we cannot comprehend.
Tiếng sấm kỳ diệu ấy là giọng nói của Đức Chúa Trời. Chúng ta không thể tưởng tượng được năng quyền vĩ đại của Ngài.
6 For he says to the snow, 'Fall on the earth'; likewise to the rain shower, 'Become a great shower of rain.'
Chúa ra lệnh tuyết rơi khắp đất và truyền cho mưa rơi như thác đổ.
7 He stops the hand of every man from working, so that all people whom he has made may see his deeds.
Chúa đóng dấu trên mỗi bàn tay để mọi người đều biết công việc Ngài
8 Then the beasts go into hiding and stay in their dens.
Lúc ấy, thú rừng rút lui về động và ở trong hang hố của mình.
9 The storm comes from its chamber in the south and the cold from the scattering winds in the north.
Chúa sai bão tố thổi từ phương nam, và lạnh giá đến từ hướng bắc.
10 By the breath of God ice is given; the expanse of the waters is frozen like metal.
Hơi thở Đức Chúa Trời tạo ra nước đá, mặt hồ ao đông cứng thành băng.
11 Indeed, he weighs down the thick cloud with moisture; he scatters his lightning through the clouds.
Chúa chứa nước đầy ắp trong mây đen kịt, phân tán các cụm mây mang theo chớp nhoáng,
12 He swirls the clouds around by his guidance, so that they may do whatever he commands them above the surface of the whole world.
Chúa hướng dẫn các đám mây, vận hành khắp đất để thực thi mệnh lệnh Ngài.
13 He makes all of this happen; sometimes it happens for correction, sometimes for his land, and sometimes as acts of covenant faithfulness.
Chúa khiến những việc xảy ra để sửa phạt loài người hay Ngài ban phước hạnh tuôn tràn.
14 Listen to this, Job; stop and think about God's marvelous deeds.
Xin chú ý điều này, thưa anh Gióp. Hãy đứng yên, chiêm ngưỡng phép lạ diệu kỳ của Đức Chúa Trời!
15 Do you know how God establishes the clouds and makes the lightning bolts to flash in them?
Anh có biết làm thế nào Đức Chúa Trời điều khiển bão tố và cho sấm chớp rực sáng trong mây không?
16 Do you understand the floating of the clouds, the marvelous deeds of God, who is perfect in knowledge?
Anh có hiểu cách Đức Chúa Trời giữ quân bình các áng mây bay, công tác diệu kỳ của Đấng Toàn Tri không?
17 Do you understand how your garments become hot when the land is still because the wind comes from the south?
Khi quần áo anh nóng ấm, và mặt đất yên tịnh dưới ngọn gió nam,
18 Can you spread out the sky as he can— the sky, which is as strong as a mirror of cast metal?
Chúa khiến mặt trời phản chiếu sức nóng như tấm gương đồng. Anh có thể làm được điều đó không?
19 Teach us what we should say to him, for we cannot lay out our arguments in order because of the darkness of our minds.
Hãy dạy chúng tôi biết phải thưa gì với Đức Chúa Trời. Chúng tôi quá u mê, chẳng biết trình bày cớ sự.
20 Should he be told that I wish to speak with him? Would a person wish to be swallowed up?
Tôi nào dám thưa chuyện với Đức Chúa Trời? Phải chăng ai mở miệng sẽ bị nuốt mất?
21 Now, people cannot look at the sun when it is bright in the sky after the wind has passed through and has cleared it of its clouds.
Chúng ta không thể nhìn thẳng mặt trời, chiếu rọi trong bầu trời khi gió dẹp tan các đám mây.
22 Out of the north comes golden splendor— over God is fearsome majesty.
Từ phương bắc ánh hoàng kim xuất phát, Đức Chúa Trời đến cách uy nghi đáng sợ.
23 As for the Almighty, we cannot find him! He is great in power; he does not oppress justice and abundant righteousness.
Chúng ta không thể đến gần Đấng Toàn Năng; Đấng Siêu Việt, đầy uy lực, Đấng Chí Công, không làm điều bất chính.
24 Therefore, people fear him. He does not pay any attention to those who are wise in their own minds.”
Vì thế, cả nhân loại kính sợ Ngài! Ngài không lưu ý đến người tự cho mình khôn ngoan.”
