< Job 37 >
1 Indeed, my heart trembles at this; it is moved out of its place.
“Ndaigua ũguo ngoro yakwa ĩgatumatuuma, na ĩkambarara ĩkoima handũ hayo.
2 Hear, oh, hear the noise of his voice, the sound that goes out from his mouth.
Thikĩrĩria! Thikĩrĩria mũraramo wa mũgambo wake, mũrurumo ũrĩa uumaga kanua gake.
3 He sends it out under the whole sky, and he sends out his lightning to the edges of the earth.
Arekagĩrĩria rũheni rwake rungu rwa igũrũ guothe na akarũtũma nginya ituri cia thĩ.
4 A voice roars after it; he thunders with the voice of his majesty; he does not restrain the lightning bolts when his voice is heard.
Thuutha waruo gũũkaga mũgambo wa mũraramo wake; arurumaga na mũgambo wake mũkaru. Hĩndĩ ĩrĩa mũgambo wake waiguuo-rĩ, ndarigagĩrĩria heni.
5 God thunders marvelously with his voice; he does great things that we cannot comprehend.
Mũgambo wa Mũrungu ũrurumaga na njĩra ya magegania; ekaga maũndũ manene tũtangĩhota kũmenya.
6 For he says to the snow, 'Fall on the earth'; likewise to the rain shower, 'Become a great shower of rain.'
Eeraga tharunji atĩrĩ, ‘Gwa thĩ,’ nayo mbura ya rũthuthuũ akamĩĩra atĩrĩ, ‘Tuĩka mbura nene.’
7 He stops the hand of every man from working, so that all people whom he has made may see his deeds.
Nĩatigithagia mũndũ o wothe wĩra wake nĩgeetha andũ othe ombĩte mamenye wĩra wake.
8 Then the beasts go into hiding and stay in their dens.
Nyamũ nacio nĩciĩhithaga; ciikaraga imamo-inĩ ciacio.
9 The storm comes from its chamber in the south and the cold from the scattering winds in the north.
Kĩhuhũkanio kiumaga gĩikaro gĩakĩo, heho nayo ĩkoima rũhuho-inĩ rũkĩhurutana.
10 By the breath of God ice is given; the expanse of the waters is frozen like metal.
Mĩhũmũ ya Mũrungu nĩĩthondekaga mbarabu, namo maaĩ harĩa maaramĩire makanyiitana.
11 Indeed, he weighs down the thick cloud with moisture; he scatters his lightning through the clouds.
Nĩaiyũragia matu na ũigũ; ahurunjaga rũheni rũkamatũrĩkia.
12 He swirls the clouds around by his guidance, so that they may do whatever he commands them above the surface of the whole world.
Mathiiaga magĩthiũrũrũkaga o kũrĩa angĩmeerekeria thĩ yothe, mageeke o ũrĩa wothe angĩmaatha.
13 He makes all of this happen; sometimes it happens for correction, sometimes for his land, and sometimes as acts of covenant faithfulness.
Arehaga matu macio nĩguo aherithie andũ, kana aihũgie thĩ yake na onanie wendani wake.
14 Listen to this, Job; stop and think about God's marvelous deeds.
“Ayubu, thikĩrĩria ũhoro ũyũ; tithĩria hau wĩcũũranie ũhoro wa magegania ma Mũrungu.
15 Do you know how God establishes the clouds and makes the lightning bolts to flash in them?
Wee nĩũũĩ ũrĩa Ngai aathaga matu, na ũrĩa atũmaga rũheni rwake rũhenũke?
16 Do you understand the floating of the clouds, the marvelous deeds of God, who is perfect in knowledge?
Wee nĩũũĩ ũrĩa matu macio macuurĩtio wega, magegania macio ma ũrĩa ũrĩ ũmenyo mũkinyanĩru?
17 Do you understand how your garments become hot when the land is still because the wind comes from the south?
Wee ũringĩkaga nĩ ũrugarĩ wa nguo ciaku rĩrĩa bũrũri ũkirĩte ki hĩndĩ ya rũhuho rwa gũthini-rĩ,
18 Can you spread out the sky as he can— the sky, which is as strong as a mirror of cast metal?
no ũhote kũruta wĩra nake ũhoro-inĩ wa gũtambũrũkia matu mairũ, o macio momĩte o ta gĩcicio gĩa gĩcango?
19 Teach us what we should say to him, for we cannot lay out our arguments in order because of the darkness of our minds.
“Ta twĩre ũrĩa twagĩrĩirwo nĩ kũmwĩra; tũtingĩhota gwĩciirĩra nĩ ũndũ wa nduma iitũ.
20 Should he be told that I wish to speak with him? Would a person wish to be swallowed up?
Nĩagĩrĩire kwĩrwo atĩ nĩngwenda kwaria? Nĩ kũrĩ mũndũ o na ũ ũngiuga amerio?
21 Now, people cannot look at the sun when it is bright in the sky after the wind has passed through and has cleared it of its clouds.
Rĩu-rĩ, gũtirĩ mũndũ ũngĩhota kũrora riũa, rĩcangararĩte kũu igũrũ thuutha wakuo kũhaatwo nĩ rũhuho gũgathera.
22 Out of the north comes golden splendor— over God is fearsome majesty.
Okaga kuuma mwena wa gathigathini arĩ na riiri ukengeete ta wa thahabu; Ngai okaga arĩ na ũkaru wa gwĩtigĩrwo.
23 As for the Almighty, we cannot find him! He is great in power; he does not oppress justice and abundant righteousness.
24 Therefore, people fear him. He does not pay any attention to those who are wise in their own minds.”
Nĩ ũndũ ũcio andũ nĩmamũtĩĩte, tondũ githĩ ndarũmbũyagia arĩa meyonaga ta marĩ oogĩ na ngoro ciao?”
