Job 32
1 So these three men stopped answering Job because he was righteous in his own eyes.
Então aqueles três homens cessaram de responder a Jó, porque ele era justo em seus olhos.
2 Then was kindled the anger of Elihu son of Barakel the Buzite, of the family of Ram; it was kindled against Job because he justified himself rather than God.
Porém se acendeu a ira de Eliú, filho de Baraquel, buzita, da família de Rão; contra Jó se acendeu sua ira, porque justificava mais a si mesmo que a Deus.
3 Elihu's anger was also kindled against his three friends because they had found no answer to Job, and yet they had condemned Job.
Também sua ira se acendeu contra seus três amigos, porque não achavam o que responder, ainda que tinham condenado a Jó.
4 Now Elihu had waited to speak to Job because the other men were older than he.
E Eliú tinha esperado a Jó naquela discussão, porque tinham mais idade que ele.
5 However, when Elihu saw that there was no answer in the mouths of these three men, his anger was kindled.
Porém quando Eliú viu que não havia resposta na boca daqueles três homens, sua ira se acendeu.
6 Then Elihu son of Barakel the Buzite spoke up and said, “I am young, and you are very old. That is why I held back and did not dare to tell you my own opinion.
Por isso Eliú, filho de Baraquel, buzita, respondeu, dizendo: Eu sou jovem e vós sois idosos; por isso fiquei receoso e tive medo de vos declarar minha opinião.
7 I said, “Length of days should speak; a multitude of years should teach wisdom.
Eu dizia: Os dias falem, e a multidão de anos ensine sabedoria.
8 But there is a spirit in a man; the breath of the Almighty gives him understanding.
Certamente há espírito no ser humano, e a inspiração do Todo-Poderoso os faz entendedores.
9 It is not only the great people who are wise, nor the aged people alone who understand justice.
Não são [somente] os grandes que são sábios, nem [somente] os velhos entendem o juízo.
10 Therefore I say to you, 'Listen to me; I will also tell you my knowledge.'
Por isso eu digo: escutai-me; também eu declararei minha opinião.
11 See, I waited for your words; I listened to your arguments while you were thinking about what to say.
Eis que eu aguardei vossas palavras, [e] dei ouvidos a vossas considerações, enquanto vós buscáveis argumentos.
12 Indeed, I paid attention to you, but, see, there was not one of you who could convince Job or who could respond to his words.
Eu prestei atenção a vós, porém eis que ninguém há de vós que possa convencer a Jó, [nem] que responda a suas palavras.
13 Be careful not to say, 'We have found wisdom!' God will have to defeat Job; mere man cannot do it.
Portanto não digais: Encontramos a sabedoria; que Deus o derrote, [e] não o homem.
14 For Job has not directed his words against me, so I will not answer him with your words.
Jó não dirigiu suas palavras a mim, nem eu lhe responderei com vossos dizeres.
15 These three men are dumbfounded; they can answer Job no longer; they have not a word more to say.
Estão pasmos, não respondem mais; faltam-lhes palavras.
16 Should I wait because they are not speaking, because they stand there silent and answer no more?
Esperei, pois, porém [agora] não falam; porque já pararam, [e] não respondem mais.
17 No, I also will answer on my part; I will also tell them my knowledge.
Também eu responderei minha parte; também eu declararei minha opinião.
18 For I am full of words; the spirit in me compels me.
Porque estou cheio de palavras, e o espírito em meu ventre me obriga.
19 See, my breast is like fermenting wine that has no vent; like new wineskins, it is ready to burst.
Eis que meu ventre é como o vinho que não tem abertura; e que está a ponto de arrebentar como odres novos.
20 I will speak so that I may be refreshed; I will open my lips and answer.
Falarei, para que eu me alivie; abrirei meus lábios, e responderei.
21 I will not show favoritism; neither will I give honorific titles to any man.
Não farei eu acepção de pessoas, nem usarei de títulos lisonjeiros para com o homem.
22 For I do not know how to give such titles; if I did so, my Maker would soon take me away.
Pois não sei lisonjear; [caso contrário], meu Criador logo me removeria.
