Job 28
1 Surely there is a mine for silver, a place where they refine gold.
১নিশ্চিত সেখানে রূপার খনি আছে, যেখানে তারা সোনাও পরিষ্কার করে।
2 Iron is taken out of the earth; copper is smelted out of the stone.
২লোহা মাটি থেকে বার করা হয়, তামা পাথর থেকে গলিয়ে বার করা হয়।
3 A man sets an end to darkness and searches out, to the farthest limit, the stones in obscurity and thick darkness.
৩একজন মানুষ অন্ধকার শেষ করেন এবং সেই পাথর দুর্বোধ্য এবং ঘন অন্ধকার জায়গা থেকে তার সমস্ত শক্তি দিয়ে খুঁজে বার করে।
4 He breaks open a shaft away from where people live, places that are forgotten by anyone's foot. He hangs far away from people; he swings to and fro.
৪লোকেরা যেখানে বাস করে তার থেকে দূরে সে একটি খাদ খোঁড়ে, সেই জায়গা যা মানুষ ভুলে গেছে, সে লোকেদের থেকে দূরে ঝুলত এবং দুলতো এবং সে এখানে ওখানে ঘুরত।
5 As for the earth, out of which comes bread, it is turned up below as if by fire.
৫যেমন পৃথিবী থেকে শস্য উত্পাদন হয়, তার গোড়া আগুনে পুড়িয়ে দেওয়া হয়।
6 Its stones are the place where sapphires are found, and its dust contains gold.
৬তার পাথর যেখানে নীলকান্ত মণি পাওয়া যায় এবং এটার ধূলোয় সোনা থাকে।
7 No bird of prey knows the path to it, nor has the falcon's eye seen it.
৭না কোন শিকারী পাখি এটার পথ জানে, না বাজপাখির চোখ এটা দেখেছে।
8 The proud animals have not walked such a path, nor has the fierce lion passed there.
৮গর্বিত পশুরাও সেই রকম পথ দিয়ে হাঁটে নি, না ভয়ঙ্কর সিংহ সেখান দিয়ে গেছে।
9 A man lays his hand on the flinty rock; he overturns mountains by their roots.
৯মানুষ শক্ত পাথরের ওপর তার হাত রাখে; সে পাহাড়দের সমূলে উল্টিয়ে ফেলে।
10 He cuts out channels among the rocks; his eye sees every valuable thing there.
১০সে পাথরের মধ্যে দিয়ে নালা কাটে; তার চোখ সেখানকার সমস্ত মূল্যবান জিনিস দেখে।
11 He ties up the streams so they do not run; what is hidden there he brings out to the light.
১১সে ঝর্নাদের বাঁধে যাতে তারা চলে না যায়; যা কিছু সেখানে লুকান সে তা আলোয় নিয়ে আসে।
12 Where will wisdom be found? Where is the place of understanding?
১২প্রজ্ঞা কোথায় পাওয়া যাবে? বুদ্ধির স্থানই বা কোথায়?
13 Man does not know its price; neither is it found in the land of the living.
১৩মানুষ এর মূল্য জানে না; না এটা জীবিতদের দেশে পাওয়া যায়।
14 The deep waters under the earth say, 'It is not in me'; the sea says, 'It is not with me.'
১৪গভীর জলরাশি বলে, এটা আমার মধ্যে নেই; সমুদ্র বলে, এটা আমার কাছে নেই।
15 It cannot be gotten for gold; neither can silver be weighed as its price.
১৫এটা সোনা দিয়ে পাওয়া যায় না; না রূপা এটার দাম নির্ধারণ করতে পারে।
16 It cannot be valued with the gold of Ophir, with precious onyx or sapphire.
১৬ওফীরের সোনাও এটার সমান নয়, অনেক দামী মনি বা নীলকান্ত মণিও এটার সমান নয়।
17 Gold and crystal cannot equal it in worth; neither can it be exchanged for jewels of fine gold.
১৭সোনা এবং কাঁচ এটার দামের সমান নয়; না এটা খাঁটি সোনার গয়নার সঙ্গে পরিবর্তন করা যায়।
18 No mention is worth making of coral or jasper; indeed, the price of wisdom is more than rubies.
১৮তার কাছে প্রবাল এবং কাঁচের কথা উল্লেখ করা যায় না; সত্যি, প্রজ্ঞার দাম চুনির থেকেও বেশি।
19 The topaz of Cush does not equal it; neither can it be valued in terms of pure gold.
১৯কূশ দেশের পোখরাজ এটার সমান নয়; না এটা খাঁটি সোনার সমান।
20 From where, then, comes wisdom? Where is the place of understanding?
২০অতএব, কোথা থেকে, প্রজ্ঞা আসবে? বুদ্ধির স্থানই বা কোথায়?
21 Wisdom is hidden from the eyes of all living things and is kept hidden from the birds of the heavens.
২১প্রজ্ঞা সমস্ত সজীব প্রাণীর চোখ থেকে গুপ্ত এবং এটা আকাশের পাখিদের থেকেও গোপন।
22 Destruction and Death say, 'We have heard just a rumor about it with our ears.'
২২ধ্বংস এবং মৃত্যু বলে, আমরা নিজের কানে এটার বিষয়ে একটা গুজব শুনেছি।
23 God understands the way to it; he knows its place.
২৩ঈশ্বর এটার পথ বোঝেন; তিনি এটার জায়গা জানেন।
24 For he looks to the very ends of the earth and sees under all the heavens.
২৪কারণ তিনি পৃথিবীর শেষ প্রান্ত পর্যন্ত দেখেন এবং আকাশের নিচের সব কিছু দেখেন।
25 He made the force of the wind and parceled out the waters by measure.
২৫অতীতে, তিনি বাতাসের শক্তি নিরূপন করলেন এবং জলের পরিমাণ মাপলেন।
26 He made a decree for the rain and a path for the thunder.
২৬তিনি বৃষ্টির জন্য আদেশ করলেন এবং বর্জ-বিদ্যুতের জন্য পথ তৈরী করলেন।
27 Then he saw wisdom and announced it; he established it, indeed, and he examined it.
২৭তখন তিনি প্রজ্ঞাকে দেখলেন এবং এটার ঘোষণা করলেন; সত্যি, তিনি এটা প্রতিষ্ঠা করলেন এবং তিনি এটার পরীক্ষা করলেন।
28 To people he said, 'See, the fear of the Lord—that is wisdom; to depart from evil is understanding.'”
২৮তিনি লোকেদের বললেন, দেখ, প্রভুর ভয় সেটা প্রজ্ঞা; মন্দ থেকে দূরে সরে যাওয়াই হল বুদ্ধি।
