< Job 20 >

1 Then Zophar the Naamathite answered and said,
Na Naamani Sofar buaa sɛ,
2 “My thoughts make me answer quickly because of the worry that is in me.
“Me tiri mu ntene me, na ɛhyɛ me sɛ memmua ɛfiri sɛ me ho yera me yie.
3 I hear a rebuke that dishonors me, but a spirit from my understanding answers me.
Mate animka bi a ɛgu me ho fi, na nteaseɛ a menya no hyɛ me sɛ memmua.
4 Do you not know this fact from ancient times, when God placed man on earth:
“Ampa ara wonim sɛdeɛ nneɛma teɛ firi tete, ɛfiri ɛberɛ a wɔde nnipa duaa asase so,
5 the triumph of a wicked man is short, and the joy of a godless man lasts only for a moment?
sɛ amumuyɛfoɔ ani gye ɛberɛ tiawa bi mu, na wɔn a wɔnnsuro nyame nso anigyeɛ nkyɛ.
6 Though his height reaches up to the heavens, and his head reaches to the clouds,
Ɛwom sɛ nʼahohoahoa kɔduru ɔsoro, na ne tiri kɔpem omununkum deɛ,
7 yet such a person will perish permanently like his own feces; those who have seen him will say, 'Where is he?'
nanso, ɔbɛyera afebɔɔ te sɛ nʼankasa agyanan; na wɔn a wɔhunuu no no bɛbisa sɛ, ‘Ɔwɔ he?’
8 He will fly away like a dream and will not be found; indeed, he will be chased away like a vision of the night.
Ɔtu kɔ te sɛ daeɛ, na wɔrenhunu no bio. Wɔtwam kɔ te sɛ anadwo mu anisoadehunu.
9 The eye that saw him will see him no more; his place will see him no longer.
Ani a ɛhunu noɔ no renhunu no bio; na ne siberɛ nso renhunu no bio.
10 His children will apologize to poor people; his hands will have to give back his wealth.
Ne mma bɛsrɛ adeɛ afiri ahiafoɔ hɔ; ɛsɛ sɛ nʼankasa de nʼahonya sane ma.
11 His bones are full of youthful strength, but it will lie down with him in the dust.
Ne mmeranteberɛ mu ahoɔden a ahyɛ ne nnompe ma no ne no bɛkɔ mfuturo mu.
12 Although wickedness is sweet in his mouth, although he hides it under his tongue,
“Ɛwom sɛ bɔne yɛ nʼanom dɛ na ɔde sie ne tɛkrɛma ase;
13 although he holds it there and does not let it go but keeps it still in his mouth—
ɛwom sɛ ɔntumi nnyaa mu na ɔma ɛka ne dodom,
14 the food in his intestines turns bitter; it becomes the poison of asps inside him.
nanso, nʼaduane bɛyɛ nwono wɔ ne yafunu mu; ɛbɛyɛ ɔtweaseɛ ano borɔ wɔ ne mu.
15 He swallows down riches, but he will vomit them up again; God will cast them out of his stomach.
Ɔbɛfe ahonyadeɛ a ɔmeneeɛ no; Onyankopɔn bɛma ne yafunu apu agu.
16 He will suck the poison of asps; the viper's tongue will kill him.
Ɔbɛfefe awɔ borɔ; Ɔnanka se bɛkum no.
17 He will not enjoy the streams, the torrents of honey and butter.
Ɔrennya nsuwansuwa no nnom nsubɔntene a nufosuo ne ɛwoɔ sene wɔ mu no.
18 He will give back the fruit of his labor and will not be able to eat it; he will not enjoy the wealth earned by his commerce.
Ɔbɛdane deɛ ɔbrɛ nyaeɛ no aba a ɔrenni bi; ɔremfa nʼadwadie mu mfasoɔ nnye nʼani.
19 For he has oppressed and neglected poor people; he has violently taken away houses that he did not build.
Ɛfiri sɛ ɔhyɛɛ ahiafoɔ so ma wɔdii ohia buruburo; ɔde ne nsa ato afie a ɛnyɛ ɔno na ɔsiiɛ so.
20 Because he has known no satisfaction himself, he will not be able to save anything in which he takes pleasure.
“Ampa ara ɔrennya ahomegyeɛ mfiri deɛ wapere anya no mu; ɔrentumi mfa nʼakoradeɛ nnye ne ho nkwa.
21 There is nothing left that he did not devour; therefore his prosperity will not be permanent.
Wafom nneɛma nyinaa awie; ne nkɔsoɔ nnuru baabiara.
22 In the abundance of his wealth he will fall into trouble; the hand of everyone who is in poverty will come against him.
Nʼadedodoɔ nyinaa mu no, ɔbɛkɔ ɔhaw mu; na amanehunu a emu yɛ den bɛto no.
23 When he is about to fill his stomach, God will throw the fierceness of his wrath on him; God will rain it down on him while he is eating.
Ɛberɛ a nʼafuru ayɛ ma no, Onyankopɔn bɛtɔ nʼabufuo ogya agu ne so na wabobɔ no basabasa.
24 Although that man will flee from the iron weapon, a bow of bronze will shoot him.
Ɛwom sɛ ɔdwane firi dadeɛ akodeɛ ano nanso bɛmma a ano yɛ kɔbere mfrafraeɛ bɛwɔ no.
25 He pulls it out of his back and the gleaming point comes out of his liver. Terrors come over him.
Wɔbɛtwe bɛmma no firi nʼakyi, ano hyɛnhyɛn no bɛfiri ne brɛboɔ mu. Ehu bɛba ne so;
26 Complete darkness is reserved for his treasures; a fire not fanned will devour him; it will consume what is left in his tent.
esum kabii bɛduru nʼakoradeɛ. Ogya a wɔmfite mu bɛhye no, na asɛe deɛ aka wɔ ne ntomadan mu.
27 The heavens will reveal his iniquity, and the earth will rise up against him as a witness.
Ɔsoro bɛda nʼafɔdie adi, na asase asɔre atia no.
28 The wealth of his house will vanish; his goods will flow away on the day of God's wrath.
Nsuyire bɛtwe ne fie akɔ, saa ara na nsuworosoɔ bɛyɛ Onyankopɔn abufuhyeɛ da no.
29 This is the wicked man's portion from God, the heritage reserved for him by God.”
Yei ne hyɛberɛ a Onyankopɔn de ma amumuyɛfoɔ, awugyadeɛ a Onyankopɔn de ato wɔn hɔ.”
