< Job 20 >

1 Then Zophar the Naamathite answered and said,
Epi Tsophar, Naamatit lan, te reponn:
2 “My thoughts make me answer quickly because of the worry that is in me.
“Akoz sa a, tout refleksyon k ap boulvèse m yo, fè m fè repons, menm akoz tout anndan m tèlman ajite.
3 I hear a rebuke that dishonors me, but a spirit from my understanding answers me.
Mwen tande repwòch ki fè m wont. Konsa, lespri bon konprann mwen fè m reponn.
4 Do you not know this fact from ancient times, when God placed man on earth:
Èske ou pa konnen bagay sa a depi nan tan ansyen an, depi lòm te mete sou latè,
5 the triumph of a wicked man is short, and the joy of a godless man lasts only for a moment?
Ke viktwa a mechan yo kout, e jwa a enkwayan an se pou yon moman?
6 Though his height reaches up to the heavens, and his head reaches to the clouds,
Malgre wotè li ta rive nan syèl la, pou tèt li ta touche nwaj yo,
7 yet such a person will perish permanently like his own feces; those who have seen him will say, 'Where is he?'
l ap peri nèt tankou fatra. Sila ki te konn wè li yo va di: ‘Kibò li ye?’
8 He will fly away like a dream and will not be found; indeed, he will be chased away like a vision of the night.
Li vole ale tankou yon rèv, e yo pa kab jwenn li. Menm tankou yon rèv lannwit, li fin chase ale.
9 The eye that saw him will see him no more; his place will see him no longer.
Zye ki te wè l la pa wè l ankò, e plas li a pa gade li ankò.
10 His children will apologize to poor people; his hands will have to give back his wealth.
Fis li yo fè byen pou malere yo, e men yo remèt byen li yo.
11 His bones are full of youthful strength, but it will lie down with him in the dust.
Zo li yo plen ak fòs jenès li, men li kouche ansanm avè l nan pousyè a.
12 Although wickedness is sweet in his mouth, although he hides it under his tongue,
“Sepandan, mechanste dous nan bouch li e li kache li anba lang li,
13 although he holds it there and does not let it go but keeps it still in his mouth—
Li pito mal la, e refize lage l, men kenbe li nan bouch li,
14 the food in his intestines turns bitter; it becomes the poison of asps inside him.
men manje nan vant li vire. Li tounen pwazon vipè anndan l.
15 He swallows down riches, but he will vomit them up again; God will cast them out of his stomach.
Li te vale richès, men vomi fè yo retounen vin parèt. Bondye va fè yo sòti nan vant li.
16 He will suck the poison of asps; the viper's tongue will kill him.
Li souse pwazon koulèv yo; lang a vipè a kap touye li.
17 He will not enjoy the streams, the torrents of honey and butter.
Li pa gade dlo yo ankò, ni rivyè ki koule yo ak siwo ak bòl lèt yo.
18 He will give back the fruit of his labor and will not be able to eat it; he will not enjoy the wealth earned by his commerce.
Li remèt sa ke li te pran an. Li pa kab vale l. Afè richès a komès li yo, li pa kab menm rejwi de yo.
19 For he has oppressed and neglected poor people; he has violently taken away houses that he did not build.
Paske li te oprime e abandone malere yo. Li te sezi yon kay ke li pa t bati.
20 Because he has known no satisfaction himself, he will not be able to save anything in which he takes pleasure.
“Akoz li pa t kab kalme kè l, li pat kab kenbe anyen nan sa li renmen.
21 There is nothing left that he did not devour; therefore his prosperity will not be permanent.
Anyen pat rete ke li pat devore; akoz sa a, byen li yo pat dire.
22 In the abundance of his wealth he will fall into trouble; the hand of everyone who is in poverty will come against him.
Ranpli ak tout bagay li, li va jennen; men a tout moun ki soufri yo va vini kont li.
23 When he is about to fill his stomach, God will throw the fierceness of his wrath on him; God will rain it down on him while he is eating.
Lè li plen vant li, Bondye va voye kòlè fewòs pa Li sou li. Lapli va tonbe sou li pandan l ap manje.
24 Although that man will flee from the iron weapon, a bow of bronze will shoot him.
Li kapab sove ale devan zam fèt ak fè a, men banza fèt an bwonz lan va tire frennen l.
25 He pulls it out of his back and the gleaming point comes out of his liver. Terrors come over him.
L ap rale sòti parèt dèyè do li, menm pwent glise a soti nan fyèl li. Gwo laperèz va parèt sou li.
26 Complete darkness is reserved for his treasures; a fire not fanned will devour him; it will consume what is left in his tent.
Fènwa nèt rezève kon trezò li, e flanm dife san van an va devore li. Li va manje tout sa ki rete nan tant li an.
27 The heavens will reveal his iniquity, and the earth will rise up against him as a witness.
Syèl yo va revele inikite li e tè a va leve kont li.
28 The wealth of his house will vanish; his goods will flow away on the day of God's wrath.
Riches lakay li va pati, posesyon li yo va ale nan jou kòlè Li a.
29 This is the wicked man's portion from God, the heritage reserved for him by God.”
Sa se pòsyon a moun mechan k ap sòti nan men Bondye, sa se eritaj ke Bondye òdone pou bay li.”
