Job 20
1 Then Zophar the Naamathite answered and said,
১তারপর নামাথীয় সোফর উত্তর দিলেন এবং বললেন,
2 “My thoughts make me answer quickly because of the worry that is in me.
২“আমার চিন্তা আমায় দ্রুত উত্তর দিতে বাধ্য করে কারণ আমি ভীষণভাবে উদ্বিগ্ন।
3 I hear a rebuke that dishonors me, but a spirit from my understanding answers me.
৩আমি তোমাদের থেকে ধমক শুনেছি যা আমায় লজ্জায় ফেলেছে, কিন্তু একটি আত্মা যা আমার বোধশক্তির বাইরে আমায় উত্তর দেয়।
4 Do you not know this fact from ancient times, when God placed man on earth:
৪তোমরা কি এই সত্য প্রাচীনকাল থেকে জান না, যখন ঈশ্বর পৃথিবীতে মানুষকে স্থাপিত করে ছিলেন,
5 the triumph of a wicked man is short, and the joy of a godless man lasts only for a moment?
৫পাপীদের আনন্দ ক্ষণস্থায়ী এবং অধার্মিকদের আনন্দ কিছু দিনের র জন্য থাকে,
6 Though his height reaches up to the heavens, and his head reaches to the clouds,
৬যদিও তার উচ্চতা আকাশ পর্যন্ত পৌঁছোয় এবং তার মাথা মেঘ পর্যন্ত পৌঁছোয়,
7 yet such a person will perish permanently like his own feces; those who have seen him will say, 'Where is he?'
৭তবুও সেরকম ব্যক্তি তার নিজের মলের মত চিরকালের জন্য ধ্বংস হবে; যারা তাকে দেখেছে তারা বলবে, ‘কোথায় সে?’
8 He will fly away like a dream and will not be found; indeed, he will be chased away like a vision of the night.
৮সে স্বপ্নের মত উড়ে যাবে আর পাওয়া যাবে না; সত্যি, তাকে রাতের দর্শনের মত তাড়িয়ে দেওয়া হবে।
9 The eye that saw him will see him no more; his place will see him no longer.
৯সেই চোখ যা তাকে দেখেছে আর তাকে দেখবে না; তার জায়গা তাকে আর দেখবে না।
10 His children will apologize to poor people; his hands will have to give back his wealth.
১০তার সন্তানেরা দরিদ্রদের কাছে ক্ষমা চাইবে; তার হাত সন্তানগণ তার সম্পত্তি ফিরিয়ে দেবে।
11 His bones are full of youthful strength, but it will lie down with him in the dust.
১১তার হাড় যৌবনের শক্তিতে পূর্ণ, কিন্তু এটা তার সঙ্গে ধূলোয় শুয়ে পরবে।
12 Although wickedness is sweet in his mouth, although he hides it under his tongue,
১২যদিও পাপাচার তার মুখে মিষ্টি, সে তা তার জিভের নিচে লুকিয়ে রাখে,
13 although he holds it there and does not let it go but keeps it still in his mouth—
১৩যদিও সে এটা ধরে রাখে এবং এটাকে যেতে দেয় না কিন্তু এটা তার মুখে রাখে।
14 the food in his intestines turns bitter; it becomes the poison of asps inside him.
১৪সেই খাবার তার পেটের ভিতরে তিতো হয়; এটা তার ভিতরে বিষধর সাপের বিষে পরিণত হয়।
15 He swallows down riches, but he will vomit them up again; God will cast them out of his stomach.
১৫সে ধনসম্পদ গিলেছে, কিন্তু সে তা আবার বমি করে দেবে; ঈশ্বর তার পেট থেকে তা বার করবেন।
16 He will suck the poison of asps; the viper's tongue will kill him.
১৬সে বিষধর সাপের বিষ চুষেবে; বিষধর সাপের জিভ তাকে মেরে ফেলবে।
17 He will not enjoy the streams, the torrents of honey and butter.
১৭সে নদীদের দেখে আনন্দ পাবে না এবং মধু ও মাখনের স্রোত দেখে আনন্দ পাবে না।
18 He will give back the fruit of his labor and will not be able to eat it; he will not enjoy the wealth earned by his commerce.
১৮সে কি জন্য পরিশ্রম করেছে, তাকে ফিরিয়ে দিতে হবে; সে তা গিলতে পারবে না; সে তার সম্পত্তির ওপর আনন্দ করতে পারবে না যা সে পেয়েছে।
19 For he has oppressed and neglected poor people; he has violently taken away houses that he did not build.
১৯কারণ সে দরিদ্রদের অত্যাচার এবং অবহেলা করেছে; যে বাড়ি সে বানায়নি সেই বাড়ি সে জোর করে লুট করত।
20 Because he has known no satisfaction himself, he will not be able to save anything in which he takes pleasure.
২০কারণ সে জানত তার নিজের শান্তি নেই, তার কোন কিছু রক্ষা করার ক্ষমতা থাকবে না যাতে সে আনন্দ পায়।
21 There is nothing left that he did not devour; therefore his prosperity will not be permanent.
২১কোন কিছুই বাকি নেই যা সে খেয়ে ফেলেনি; এই জন্য তার উন্নতি টিকবে না।
22 In the abundance of his wealth he will fall into trouble; the hand of everyone who is in poverty will come against him.
২২তার সম্পত্তির আধিক্যের জন্য সে বিপদে পরবে; যারা দারিদ্রতায় রয়েছে তাদের প্রত্যেকের হাত তার ওপর আসবে।
23 When he is about to fill his stomach, God will throw the fierceness of his wrath on him; God will rain it down on him while he is eating.
২৩যখন সে প্রায় তার পেট ভরিয়ে ফেলেছে, তখন ঈশ্বর তাঁর প্রচন্ড ক্রোধ তার ওপরে নিক্ষেপ করবেন; তার খাবার দিনের ঈশ্বর তা তার ওপর বর্ষাবেন।
24 Although that man will flee from the iron weapon, a bow of bronze will shoot him.
২৪যদিও সেই ব্যক্তি লোহার অস্ত্র থেকে পালাবে, কিন্তু পিতলের ধনুক তাকে আঘাত করবে।
25 He pulls it out of his back and the gleaming point comes out of his liver. Terrors come over him.
২৫তীর তার পিঠ ভেদ করবে এবং বেরিয়ে আসবে; সত্যি, তীরের চকচকে আগাটা তার যকৃত থেকে বেরিয়ে আসবে; আতঙ্ক তার ওপরে আসবে।
26 Complete darkness is reserved for his treasures; a fire not fanned will devour him; it will consume what is left in his tent.
২৬তার সম্পত্তির জন্য সম্পূর্ণ অন্ধকার সঞ্চিত হয়; বিনা হওয়াতেই আগুন তাকে গ্রাস করবে; এটা তার তাঁবুতে থাকা বাকি জিনিসগুলি গ্রাস করবে।
27 The heavens will reveal his iniquity, and the earth will rise up against him as a witness.
২৭আকাশ তার অপরাধ প্রকাশ করবে এবং সাক্ষী হিসাবে পৃথিবী তার বিরুদ্ধে উঠবে।
28 The wealth of his house will vanish; his goods will flow away on the day of God's wrath.
২৮বন্যা তার ঘরের সম্পত্তি নিয়ে উবে যাবে; ঈশ্বরের ক্রোধের দিনের তার সম্পত্তি ভেসে যাবে।
29 This is the wicked man's portion from God, the heritage reserved for him by God.”
২৯ঈশ্বর থেকে এটাই পাপী মানুষের অংশ, ঈশ্বরের মাধ্যমে তার জন্য উত্তরাধিকার সঞ্চিত রয়েছে।”
