< Job 12 >
1 Then Job answered and said,
Mgbe ahụ, Job zara:
2 “No doubt you are the people; wisdom will die with you.
“Nʼezie, naanị unu bụ ndị maara ihe, unu na amamihe ga-anwụkọ nʼotu.
3 But I have understanding as well as you; I am not inferior to you. Indeed, who does not know such things as these?
Ma enwere m mmụọ iche uche dịka unu; abụghị m onye na-erughị eru nʼebe unu nọ. Onye bụ onye na-amaghị ihe ndị a unu na-ekwu?
4 I am something for my neighbor to laugh at— I, one who called on God and who was answered by him! I, a just and blameless man—I am now something to laugh at.
“Abụzi m ihe ọchị nʼebe ndị enyi m nọ, nʼagbanyeghị na m kpọkuru Chineke, ọ za, onye ezi omume, onye na-enweghị ịta ụta bụzikwa ihe eji akpa ọchị!
5 In the thought of someone who is at ease, there is contempt for misfortune; he thinks in a way that brings more misfortune to those whose foot is slipping.
Ndị na-enweghị nsogbu na-eleda ndị ọdachi dakwasịrị anya dịka nsogbu si eche ndị ụkwụ ha na-amịchapụ amịchapụ.
6 The tents of robbers prosper, and those who provoke God feel secure; their own hands are their gods.
Ụlọ ikwu nke ndị na-apụnara mmadụ ihe na-adị jụụ; ndị na-akpasu Chineke iwe na-adị nʼudo, bụ ndị na-ebugharị chi ha nʼaka ha.
7 But now ask the beasts, and they will teach you; ask the birds of the heavens, and they will tell you.
“Ma jụọ ụmụ anụmanụ, ha ga-akụziri gị, maọbụ ụmụ nnụnụ, ha ga-agwa gị.
8 Or speak to the earth, and it will teach you; the fish of the sea will declare to you.
Ma ọ bụkwanụ gwa ala okwu, ọ ga-akụziri gị, maọbụ kwere ka azụ nọ na mmiri kọọrọ gị.
9 Which animal among all these does not know that the hand of Yahweh has done this?
Olee otu nʼime ihe ndị a nke na-amaghị na ọ bụ aka Onyenwe anyị mere nke a?
10 In his hand is the life of every living thing and the breath of all mankind.
Nʼaka ya ka ndụ ihe niile e kere eke dị, ya na ndụ ụmụ mmadụ
11 Does not the ear test words just as the palate tastes its food?
12 With aged men is wisdom; in length of days is understanding.
Ọ bụ na-adịghị ahụ amamihe nʼetiti ndị okenye? Ogologo ndụ, ọ dịghị eweta nghọta?
13 With God are wisdom and might; he has counsel and understanding.
“Ọ bụ Chineke nwe amamihe na ike, ndụmọdụ na nghọta bụkwa nke ya.
14 See, he breaks down, and it cannot be built again; if he imprisons someone, there can be no release.
Ihe o tidara enweghị mwugharị ọzọ; mgbapụta adịghị nye onye o tụbara nʼụlọ mkpọrọ.
15 See, if he withholds the waters, they dry up; and if he sends them out, they overwhelm the land.
Ọ bụrụ na o gbochie mmiri, ebe niile atakọrọchaa. Ọ bụrụ na o zipụ ha, ha erikpuo ala niile.
16 With him are strength and wisdom; people who are deceived and the deceiver are both in his power.
17 He leads counselors away barefoot in sorrow; he turns judges into fools.
18 He takes off the chain of authority from kings; he wraps a cloth about their waists.
Ọ na-atọpụ mkpọrọ igwe ndị eze kere, ma were akwa mgbochi kee ha nʼukwu.
19 He leads priests away barefoot in sorrow and overthrows mighty people.
Ọ na-agbawa ndị nchụaja ọtọ chụpụ ha, kwatuokwa ndị ọnọdụ ha sirila ike ogologo oge gara aga.
20 He removes the speech of those who had been trusted and takes away the understanding of the elders.
Ọ na-emechi ọnụ ndị ndụmọdụ a tụkwasịrị obi, wepụkwa nghọta nke ndị okenye.
21 He pours contempt upon princes and unfastens the belt of strong people.
Ọ na-eji ndị ọgaranya eme ihe ọchị, napụkwa ngwa agha nke ndị dị ike.
22 He reveals the deep things of darkness and brings deep shadows into the light.
Ọ na-ekpughe ihe omimi nke ọchịchịrị meekwa ka oke ọchịchịrị pụta ìhè.
23 He makes nations strong, and he also destroys them; He enlarges nations, and he also leads them along as prisoners.
Ọ na-eme ka mba dị ukwuu, ọ na-emekwa ka ha laa nʼiyi; Ọ na-eme ka mba baa ụba, ma chụsakwaa ha.
24 He takes away understanding from the leaders of the people of the earth; he causes them to wander in a wilderness where there is no path.
Ọ na-anapụ ndị ndu nke ụwa amamihe ha, zipụkwa ha ka ha na-awagharị nʼọzara ebe ụzọ na-adịghị.
25 They grope in the dark without light; he makes them stagger like a drunk man.
Ha na-asọgharị ìsì nʼọchịchịrị na-enweghị ìhè. Ọ na-eme ha ka ha na-adagharị dịka ndị mmanya na-egbu.
