Jeremiah 49
1 About the people of Ammon, Yahweh says this, “Does Israel have no children? Is there no one to inherit anything in Israel? Why does Molech occupy Gad, and his people live in its cities?
अम्मोनीहरूको विषयमा परमप्रभु यसो भन्नुहुन्छ, “के इस्राएलका छोराछोरी छैनन् र? के इस्राएलमा कुनै उत्तराधिकारी छैन? किन मोलोखले गाद कब्जा गर्छ र त्यसका मानिसहरू यसका सहरहरूमा बस्छन् त?
2 So look, the days are coming—this is Yahweh's declaration—when I will sound the signal for battle against Rabbah among the people of Ammon, so it will become a deserted heap and its villages will be set on fire. For Israel will possess those who possessed him,” says Yahweh.
त्यसैले, यो परमप्रभुको घोषणा हो, हेर्, यस्ता दिनहरू आउँदैछन्, जति बेला म अम्मोनीहरूका बिचमा रब्बाको विरुद्धमा युद्ध-ध्वनीको लागि सङ्केतको आवाज निकाल्नेछु, यसरी यो भग्नावशेषको थुप्रो हुनेछ, र यसका गाउँहरूमा आगो लगाइनेछ । किनकि इस्राएललाई अधिकार गर्नेहरूलाई त्यसले अधिकार गर्नेछ,” परमप्रभु भन्नुहुन्छ ।
3 “Howl in lament, Heshbon, for Ai will be devastated! Shout out, daughters of Rabbah! Put on sackcloth. Lament and run about in futility, for Molech is going into captivity, together with his priests and leaders.
ए हेश्बोन, विलापको आवाज निकाल्, किनकि ऐ सहरलाई सर्वानाश गरिनेछ । ए रब्बाकी छोरीहरू हो, चिच्च्याओ । भाङ्ग्रा लगाओ । विलाप गर, र व्यर्थैमा यताउता कुद, किनकि मोलोख त्यसका पुजारीहरू र अगुहरूसँगै निर्वासनमा लगिनेछ ।
4 Why do you brag about your valleys, your valleys that are so fruitful, faithless daughter? you who trust in your wealth and say, 'Who will come against me?'
ए विश्वासहीन छोरी, तँ किन तेरा ज्यादै फलवन्त बेँसीहरूको विषयमा घमण्ड गर्छेस्? आफ्नो धन-सम्पत्तिमा भरोसा गरी तँ भन्छस्, 'मेरो विरुद्धमा को आउनेछ?'
5 See, I am about to bring terror on you—this is the declaration of Lord Yahweh of hosts— this terror will come from all those who surround you. Each one of you will be scattered before it. There will be no one to gather those running away.
यो सर्वशक्तिमान् परमप्रभुको घोषणा हो, हेर्, मैले तँमाथि त्रास ल्याउनै लागेको छु, यो त्रास तेरो वरिपरि भएका सबैबाट आउनेछ । यसको सामु तिमीहरू हरेक तितरबितर हुनेछौ । ती भाग्नेहरूलाई जम्मा गर्ने कोही पनि हुनेछैन ।
6 But after this I will restore the fortunes of the people of Ammon—this is Yahweh's declaration.”
तर यसपछि म अम्मोनका मानिसहरूको सुदिन फर्काउनेछु, यो परमप्रभुको घोषणा हो ।”
7 About Edom, Yahweh of hosts says this, “Is there no longer any wisdom to be found in Teman? Has good advice disappeared from those who have understanding? Has their wisdom become corrupted?
एदोमको विषयमा सर्वशक्तिमान् परमप्रभु यसो भन्नुहुन्छ, “के तेमानमा अबदेखि कुनै बुद्धि पाइँदैन? के समझदारहरूबाट असल सल्लाह गायब भएको छ? के तिनीहरूको बुद्धि भ्रष्ट भएको छ?
8 Flee! Turn back! Stay in holes in the ground, inhabitants of Dedan. For I am bringing the disaster of Esau on him at the time that I punish him.
ए ददानमा बासिन्दाहरू हो, भाग र फर्क, जमिनका गुफाहरूमा बस । किनकि मैले त्यसलाई दण्ड दिने बेलामा म त्यसमाथि एसावको विपत्ति ल्याउँदैछु ।
9 If grape harvesters came to you, would they not leave a little bit behind? If thieves came in the night, would they not steal only as much as they wanted?
दाख टिप्नेहरू तँकहाँ आए भने के तिनीहरूले केही दानाहरू छोड्दैनन् र? रातमा चोरहरू आए भने के तिनीहरूले आफूले चाहे जति मात्र लैजाँदैनन् र?
10 But I have stripped Esau bare. I have revealed his hiding places. So he will not be able to hide himself. His children, his brothers, and his neighbors are destroyed, and he is gone.
तर मैले एसावलाई नाङ्गै पारेको छु । मैले त्यसका लुक्ने ठाउँहरू देखाएको छु, यसैले उसले आफैलाई लुकाउन सक्नेछैन । त्यसका छोराछोरी, दाजुभाइ र छिमेकीहरू नष्ट पारिएका छन्, र त्यो नष्ट भएको छ ।
11 Leave your orphans behind. I will take care of their lives, and your widows can trust in me.”
तेरा अनाथहरूलाई पछाडि छोड् । तिनीहरूका जीवनको हेरचाह म गर्नेछु, र तेरा विधवाहरूले ममाथि भरोसा गर्न सक्छन् ।”
12 For Yahweh says this, “See, those who did not deserve it must certainly drink some of the cup. Do you yourself think you will go without punishment? You will not, for you will certainly drink.
किनकि परमप्रभु यसो भन्नुहुन्छ, “हेर, कचौरा पिउनु नपर्नेले त निश्चय नै केही पिउनैपर्छ । के तँचाहिं दण्डविना उम्कन्छस् भनी सोच्छस्? तँ उम्कने छैनस्, किनकि तैंले निश्चय नै पिउनेछस् ।
13 For I have sworn by myself—this is Yahweh's declaration—that Bozrah will become a horror, a disgrace, a devastation, and an object for cursing. All of its cities will become devastations forever.
यो परमप्रभुको घोषणा हो, म आफैले यो शपथ खाएको छु, कि बोज्रा त्रास, अपमान, उजाड र सरापको पात्र बन्नेछ । यसका सबै सहर सदाको लागि सर्वनाश पारिनेछन् ।
14 I have heard news from Yahweh, and a messenger has been sent out to the nations, 'Gather together and attack her. Get ready for battle.'
मैले परमप्रभुबाट समाचार सुनेको छु, र जातिहरूकहाँ एक जना सन्देशवाहक पठाइएको छ, 'एकसाथ जम्मा होओ र त्यसलाई आक्रमण गर । युद्धको लागि तयार रहो ।'
15 “For see, I have made you small compared to the other nations, despised by people.
“किनकि हेर! अरू जातिहरूको तुलनामा मैले तँलाई सानो, मानिसहरूद्वारा घृणित तुल्याएको छु ।
16 As for your fearsomeness, your heart's pride has deceived you, inhabitants of places on the cliff, you who have occupied the highest hills so that you may make your nest high like an eagle. I will bring you down from there—this is Yahweh's declaration.
तेरो त्रासको विषयमा, ए चट्टानका ठाउँहरूमा बस्ने बासिन्दाहरू हो, तेरो हृदयको घमण्डले तँलाई धोका दिएको छ, गरुडले झैं तैंले आफ्नो गुँड अग्लो ठाउँमा बनाउन भनेर अग्ला डाँडाका टाकुराहरू ओगटेर बस्नेहरू हो, म त्यहाँबाट तँलाई तल झार्नेछु, यो परमप्रभुको घोषणा हो ।
17 Edom will become a horror to everyone passing by it. Every such person will tremble and hiss because all of its disasters.
एदोमबाट भएर जाने हरेकको लागि यो त्रासको पात्र बन्नेछ । यसका सबै विपत्तिको कारण हरेक व्यक्ति तर्सनेछ र गिल्ला गर्नेछ ।
18 Like the overthrow of Sodom and Gomorrah and their neighbors,” says Yahweh, “no one will live there; no person will stay there.
जसरी सदोम र गमोरा अनि तिनीहरूका छिमेकीहरूको पतन भयो,” परमप्रभु भन्नुहुन्छ, “त्यहाँ कोही पनि बस्नेछैन । कुनै पनि व्यक्ति त्यहाँ रहनेछैन ।
19 See, he will go up like a lion from the forests of the Jordan to the green pasturelands. For I will quickly make Edom run from it, and I will put someone who will be chosen in charge of it. For who is like me, and who will summon me? What shepherd is able to resist me?”
हेर्, यर्दनका जङ्गलहरूबाट हरिया खर्कहरूमा सिंहझैं ऊ माथितिर उक्लनेछ । किनकि म एदोमलाई त्यहाँबाट तुरुन्तै भाग्ने बनाउने छु, र चुनिएको कुनै व्यक्तिलाई म त्यसको जिम्मा लगाउनेछु । किनकि मजस्तो को छ र कसले मलाई बोलाउनेछ? कुनचाहिं गोठालोले मेरो विरोध गर्न सक्छ?”
20 “So listen to the plans that Yahweh has decided against Edom, the plans that he has formed against the inhabitants of Teman. They will certainly be dragged away, even the smallest flock. Their pasturelands will be turned into ruined places.
“त्यसैले परमप्रभुले एदोमको विरुद्धमा निधो गर्नुभएका योजनाहरू, तेमानका बासिन्दाहरूको विरुद्धमा बनाउनुभएका योजनाहरू सुन । निश्चय नै तिनीहरूका स-साना बगालका पनि घिस्याएर लगिनेछन् । तिनीहरूका खर्कहरू उजाड-स्थानमा परिणत हुनेछन् ।
21 At the sound of their falling the earth shakes. The sound of distressed shouts is heard at the Sea of Reeds.
तिनीहरूको पतनको सोरमा पृथ्वी हल्लिन्छ । निराशाको चित्कारको सोर लाल समुद्रमा सुनिनेछ ।
22 See, someone will attack like an eagle, and swoop down and spread his wings over Bozrah. Then on that day, the hearts of Edom's soldiers will become like the heart of a woman in birth labor.”
हेर्, कसैले बोज्रालाई गरुडझैं आक्रमण गर्नेछ, तलतिर बेग हानी यसमाथि आफ्ना पखेटा फैलाउनेछ । तब त्यस दिनमा एदोमका सिपाहीहरूका हृदयहरू प्रसव-वेदनामा भएकी स्त्रीको हृदयजस्तै हुनेछन् ।”
23 About Damascus: “Hamath and Arpad will be ashamed, for they have heard news of disaster. They melt away! They become as troubled as the sea, which cannot stay calm.
दमस्कसको विषयमाः “हमात र अर्पाद लाजमा पर्नेछन्, किनकि तिनीहरूले विपत्तिको खबर सुनेका छन् । तिनीहरू पग्लेर जान्छन् । तिनीहरू शान्त नरहने समुद्रझैं छटपठीमा हुन्छन् ।
24 Damascus has become very weak. It turns away to flee; terror seizes it. Distress and pain seize it, like the pain of a woman giving birth.
दमस्कस साह्रै कमजोर भएको छ । यो भाग्नलाई फर्कन्छ । त्रासले यसलाई पक्रन्छ । प्रसव-वेदनामा भएकी स्त्रीझैं निराशा र पीडाले यसलाई पक्रन्छन् ।
25 How has the city of praise not been forsaken, the town of my joy?
त्यो प्रशंसाको सहर अर्थात् मेरो आनन्दको नगर किन त्यागिएको छैन?
26 Therefore its young men will fall in its plazas, and all the fighting men will perish on that day—this is the declaration of Yahweh of hosts.”
त्यसकारण त्यस दिन त्यसका युवाहरू सार्वजनिक ठाउँहरूमा ढल्नेछन्, र सबै योद्धा नष्ट हुनेछन्, यो सर्वशक्तिमान् यो परमप्रभुको घोषणा हो ।”
27 “For I will light a fire on the wall of Damascus, and it will devour the strongholds of Ben Hadad.”
“किनकि दमस्कसको पर्खालमा म आगो लगाउनेछु, र यसले बेन-हददका किल्लाहरूलाई भस्म पार्नेछ ।”
28 About Kedar and the kingdoms of Hazor, Yahweh says this to Nebuchadnezzar (now Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon was going to attack these places): “Arise and attack Kedar and destroy those people of the east.
केदार र हासोरका राज्यहरूको विषयमा परमप्रभु नबूकदनेसरलाई यसो भन्नुहुन्छ (यति बेला बेबिलोनका राजा नबूकदनेसरले यी ठाउँहरूलाई आक्रमण गर्न लागेका थिए): “उठ्, र केदारलाई आक्रमण गर्, अनि पूर्वका ती मानिसहरूलाई नष्ट पार् ।
29 Their tents and their flocks will be taken, along with their tent curtains and all of their equipment; their camels will be led away from them, and men will shout to them, “Terror is on every side!”
तिनीहरूका पाल र तिनीहरूका बगाल लगिनेछन्, साथमा तिनीहरूका पालका पर्दाहरू र तिनका सबै सरसामान पनि । तिनीहरूका ऊँटहरू तिनीहरूबाट लगिनेछन्, र मानिसहरू तिनीहरूमाथि चिच्याउनेछन्, 'त्रास जताततै छ!”
30 Flee! Wander far away! Stay in holes in the ground, inhabitants of Hazor—this is Yahweh's declaration— for Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon has devised a plan against you. Flee! Turn back!
ए हासोरका बासिन्दाहरू हो, भाग, धेरै टाढा जाओ, जमिनका गुफाहरूमा लुक, यो परमप्रभुको घोषणा हो— किनकि बेबिलोनका राजा नबूकदनेसरले तिमीहरूको विरुद्धमा योजना रच्दैछ । भाउ, पछि फर्क ।
31 Arise! Attack the nation at ease, that lives in safety,” says Yahweh. “They have no gates or bars in them, and its people live by themselves.
उठ्, आराम भएको जातिलाई आक्रमण गर, जुन सुरक्षामा बस्छ,” परमप्रभु भन्नुहुन्छ । “तिनीहरूका मूल ढोकाहरू वा तिनमा गजबारहरू छैनन्, अनि त्यसका मानिसहरू त्यत्तिकै बस्छन् ।
32 For their camels will become plunder, and the abundance of their property will become war plunder. Then I will scatter to every wind those who cut the corners of their hair, and I will bring disaster on them from every side—this is Yahweh's declaration.
किनकि तिनीहरूका ऊँटहरू लुटको माल बन्नेछन्, र तिनीहरूको प्रचुर धन-सम्पत्ति युद्धमा लुटिने माल बन्नेछन् । तब शोकमा आफ्ना कपाल काट्ने हरेकलाई म हावामा तितरबितर पार्नेछु, र तिनीहरूमाथि म हरेक कुनाबाट विपत्ति ल्याउनेछु, यो परमप्रभुको घोषणा हो ।
33 Hazor will become a lair of jackals, a permanent wasteland. No one will live there; no human being will stay there.”
हासोर स्यालहरूको अखडा अर्थात् सदाको निम्ति उजाड-स्थान बन्नेछ । त्यहाँ कोही बस्नेछैन । कुनै मानिस त्यहाँ रहनेछैन ।”
34 This is the word of Yahweh that came to Jeremiah the prophet about Elam. This happened at the beginning of the reign of Zedekiah king of Judah, and he said,
एलामको विषयमा यर्मिया अगमवक्ताकहाँ आएको परमप्रभुको वचन यही हो । यहूदाका राजा सिदकियाहले राज्य गर्न सुरु गर्दा यो वचन आएको थियो, र तिनले भने,
35 “Yahweh of hosts says this: See, I am about to break the bowmen of Elam, the main part of their power.
“सर्वशक्तिमान् परमप्रभु यसो भन्नुहुन्छः हेर्, मैले एलामका धनुर्धारीहरूलाई तोड्नै लागेको छु, जुन तिनीहरूको शक्तिको मुख्य कुरा हो ।
36 For I will bring the four winds from the four corners of the heavens, and I will scatter the people of Elam to all of those winds. There is no nation to which those scattered from Elam will not go.
किनकि आकाशका चार कुनाबाट म चारवटा बतास ल्याउनेछु, र एलामका मानिसहरूलाई म ती सबै हावामा तितरबितर पार्नेछु । त्यहाँ कुनै राज्य नै हुनेछैन जहाँ एलामबाट छरिएकाहरू नपुगेको होस् ।
37 So I will shatter Elam before their enemies and before those who seek their lives. for I will bring disaster against them, the fury of my wrath—this is Yahweh's declaration— and I will send the sword after them until I have annihilated them.
यसरी एलामीहरूलाई म तिनीहरूका शत्रुहरू र तिनीहरूको ज्यान लिन खोज्नेहरूको सामु चूरचूर पार्नेछु । किनकि म तिनीहरूको विरुद्धमा विपत्ति अर्थात् मेरो क्रोधको ज्वाला दन्काउनेछु— यो परमप्रभुको घोषणा हो— र मैले तिनीहरूलाई निमिट्ट्यान्न नपारेसम्म म तिनीहरूका पछि तरवार पठाउनेछु ।
38 Then I will put my throne in Elam and will destroy its king and leaders from there—this is Yahweh's declaration—
त्यसपछि एलाममा म आफ्नो सिंहासन स्थापित गर्नेछु, र त्यहाँबाट त्यसका राजाहरू र अगुवाहरूलाई नष्ट पार्नेछु— यो परमप्रभुको घोषणा हो—
39 and it will happen in later days that I will bring back the fortunes of Elam—this is Yahweh's declaration.”
र यस्तो हुनेछ कि पछिल्ला दिनहरूमा म एलामको सुदिन फर्काउनेछु— यो परमप्रभुको घोषणा हो ।”
