< Jeremiah 49 >

1 About the people of Ammon, Yahweh says this, “Does Israel have no children? Is there no one to inherit anything in Israel? Why does Molech occupy Gad, and his people live in its cities?
Maipanggep kadagiti tattao ti Ammon, kastoy ti kuna ni Yahweh, “Awanan kadi iti annak ti Israel? Awan kadi iti mangtawid iti aniaman a banag idiay Israel? Apay ngarud a naggianan ni Molek ti Gad, ken agnanaed dagiti tattaona kadagiti siudad daytoy?
2 So look, the days are coming—this is Yahweh's declaration—when I will sound the signal for battle against Rabbah among the people of Ammon, so it will become a deserted heap and its villages will be set on fire. For Israel will possess those who possessed him,” says Yahweh.
Isu a kitaenyo, umayto dagiti aldaw—daytoy ket pakaammo ni Yahweh— inton paguniekto ti pagilasinan nga adda gubat a maibusor iti Rabba kadagiti tattao ti Ammon, agbalinto ngarud daytoy a langalang a gabsuon ket mangpasgedto iti apuy dagiti annakna a babbai. Ta tagikuaento ti Israel dagidiay nangtagikua kenkuana,” kuna ni Yahweh.
3 “Howl in lament, Heshbon, for Ai will be devastated! Shout out, daughters of Rabbah! Put on sackcloth. Lament and run about in futility, for Molech is going into captivity, together with his priests and leaders.
Aganug-ogka iti panagladingitmo, Hesbon, ta madadaelto ti Ai! Agpukkawkayo, annak a babbai ti Rabba! Agkaweskayo iti nakersang a lupot. Agladingit ken agtaraykayo nga awan mamaayna, ta maitalawto a kas balud ni Molek, a kadauana dagiti padina ken dagiti mangidadaulona.
4 Why do you brag about your valleys, your valleys that are so fruitful, faithless daughter? you who trust in your wealth and say, 'Who will come against me?'
Apay a pagtangsityo ta pigsayo? Kumapsutkanto, managsukir nga anak a babbai, sika nga agtaltalek iti kinabaknangmo. Kunam, 'Siasino ngay koma ti umay a maibusor kaniak?'
5 See, I am about to bring terror on you—this is the declaration of Lord Yahweh of hosts— this terror will come from all those who surround you. Each one of you will be scattered before it. There will be no one to gather those running away.
Kitaenyo, iyegkon ti pagbutnganyo—daytoy ti pakaammo ni Yahweh nga Apo a Mannakabalin amin— umayto daytoy a nakabutbuteng manipud kadagiti amin nga adda iti aglawlawmo. Maiwarawaranto ti tunggal maysa kadakayo iti sangoanan daytoy. Awanto ti mangurnong kadagiti tumaray.
6 But after this I will restore the fortunes of the people of Ammon—this is Yahweh's declaration.”
Ngem kalpasan daytoy, isublikto ti kinabaknang dagiti tattao ti Ammon—daytoy ket pakaammo ni Yahweh.”
7 About Edom, Yahweh of hosts says this, “Is there no longer any wisdom to be found in Teman? Has good advice disappeared from those who have understanding? Has their wisdom become corrupted?
Maipanggep iti Edom, ni Yahweh a Mannakabalin-amin, kastoy ti kunana, “Awan kadin kinasirib a masarakan idiay Teman? Nagpukaw kadin ti nasayaat a pammagbaga manipud kadagiti addaan iti pannakaawat? Nakullaapan kadin ti kinasiribda?
8 Flee! Turn back! Stay in holes in the ground, inhabitants of Dedan. For I am bringing the disaster of Esau on him at the time that I punish him.
Tumaraykayo! Agsublikayo! Agtalinaedkayo kadagiti abut, dakayo nga agnanaed iti Dedan. Ta iyegko ti didigra ni Esau kenkuana iti tiempo a dusaek isuna.
9 If grape harvesters came to you, would they not leave a little bit behind? If thieves came in the night, would they not steal only as much as they wanted?
No umay kadakayo dagiti agburburas iti ubas, saan kadi a mangibatida iti sumagmamano? No umay dagiti agtatakaw iti rabii, saan kadi a takawenda laeng ti kayatda?
10 But I have stripped Esau bare. I have revealed his hiding places. So he will not be able to hide himself. His children, his brothers, and his neighbors are destroyed, and he is gone.
Ngem linabusak ni Esau. Linukaisak dagiti paglemlemmenganna a disso. Isu a saanto isuna a makalemmeng. Nadadael dagiti annakna, dagiti kakabsatna ken dagiti kaarrubana ket awanen isuna.
11 Leave your orphans behind. I will take care of their lives, and your widows can trust in me.”
Ibatiyo dagiti ulilayo. Aywanakto dagiti biagda, ken mabalindak a pagtalkan kaniak dagiti balo a babbai nga adda kadakayo.”
12 For Yahweh says this, “See, those who did not deserve it must certainly drink some of the cup. Do you yourself think you will go without punishment? You will not, for you will certainly drink.
Ta kastoy ti kuna ni Yahweh, “Kitaenyo, dagiti saan a maikari iti daytoy ket masapul nga uminom iti kopa. Ipagarupyo kadi a saankayonto a madusa? Saan, ta pudno nga inumenyonto.
13 For I have sworn by myself—this is Yahweh's declaration—that Bozrah will become a horror, a disgrace, a devastation, and an object for cursing. All of its cities will become devastations forever.
Ta insapatak— daytoy ket pakaammo ni Yahweh— nga agbalinto ti Bosra a nakabutbuteng, nakaibabain, nadadaelan ken pangilunod. Agbalinto dagiti amin a siudad daytoy a nadadael iti agnanayon.
14 I have heard news from Yahweh, and a messenger has been sent out to the nations, 'Gather together and attack her. Get ready for battle.'
Nakangngegak kadagiti damag a naggapu kenni Yahweh, ket adda mensahero a naibaon kadagiti nasion, 'Agguummongkayo ket darupenyo isuna. Agsaganakayo a makigubat.'
15 “For see, I have made you small compared to the other nations, despised by people.
Ta kitaenyo, pinagbalinkayo a basbassit ngem kadagiti sabali a nasion, kaguradakayo dagiti tattao.
16 As for your fearsomeness, your heart's pride has deceived you, inhabitants of places on the cliff, you who have occupied the highest hills so that you may make your nest high like an eagle. I will bring you down from there—this is Yahweh's declaration.
Maipanggep iti kina-nakabutbutengmo, inallilawnaka ti natangsit a pusom, dakayo nga agnanaed kadagiti disso iti rangkis, dakayo nga agnanaed kadagiti kangatoan a turod tapno iti kasta ket makapagumokka iti nangato a kas iti agila. Ibabakanto manipud sadiay— daytoy ket pakaammo ni Yahweh.
17 Edom will become a horror to everyone passing by it. Every such person will tremble and hiss because all of its disasters.
Agbalinto a pagbutbutngan ti Edom iti siasinoman a lumabas iti daytoy. Agpigergerto ti siasinoman ken agsakontip gapu kadagiti amin a didigra iti daytoy.
18 Like the overthrow of Sodom and Gomorrah and their neighbors,” says Yahweh, “no one will live there; no person will stay there.
Kas iti pannakadadael ti Sodoma ken Gomorra ken dagiti kaarrubada, kuna ni Yahweh, “awanto ti agnaed sadiay; awanto ti tao nga aggian sadiay.
19 See, he will go up like a lion from the forests of the Jordan to the green pasturelands. For I will quickly make Edom run from it, and I will put someone who will be chosen in charge of it. For who is like me, and who will summon me? What shepherd is able to resist me?”
Kitaenyo, sumang-atto isuna a kasla leon a naggapu kadagiti kabakiran ti Jordan a mapan kadagiti nalangto a pagaraban. Ta kellaatto ti panangpatalawko iti Edom manipud iti daytoy, ket mangisaadakto iti tao a napili a mangimaton iti daytoy. Ta siasino kadi iti umasping kaniak, ken siasino kadi ti makapaayab kaniak? Adda kadi met iti agpaspastor a makabael a mangtubngar kaniak?
20 “So listen to the plans that Yahweh has decided against Edom, the plans that he has formed against the inhabitants of Teman. They will certainly be dragged away, even the smallest flock. Their pasturelands will be turned into ruined places.
Isu a dumngegkayo kadagiti panggep ni Yahweh nga inkeddengna a maibusor iti Edom, dagiti plinanona a maibusor kadagiti agnanaed iti Teman. Maipanawdanto. uray ti kabassitan nga arban. Agbalinto a nadadael a disso dagiti pagpaarabanda.
21 At the sound of their falling the earth shakes. The sound of distressed shouts is heard at the Sea of Reeds.
Aggingined ti daga iti daranudor ti pannakatnagda. Mangngeg ti ikkis gapu iti pannakaparigat idiay baybay ti Runo.
22 See, someone will attack like an eagle, and swoop down and spread his wings over Bozrah. Then on that day, the hearts of Edom's soldiers will become like the heart of a woman in birth labor.”
Kitaenyo, addanto dumarup a kasla agila, ket sumippayut ken iyukradna dagiti payakna iti Bosra. Ket iti dayta nga aldaw, maiyarigto dagiti puso dagiti soldado ti Edom iti puso ti agpaspasikal a babai.”
23 About Damascus: “Hamath and Arpad will be ashamed, for they have heard news of disaster. They melt away! They become as troubled as the sea, which cannot stay calm.
Maipapan iti Damasco: “Mabainanto ti Hamat ken Arpad, ta nangngeganda dagiti damag maipanggep iti didigra. Marunawda! Mariribukanda a kas iti baybay, a saan nga agtalna.
24 Damascus has become very weak. It turns away to flee; terror seizes it. Distress and pain seize it, like the pain of a woman giving birth.
Nagbalinen a nakapuy unay ti Damasco. Timmallikud tapno tumaray; kamaten daytoy iti buteng. Kamaten daytoy iti rigat ken ut-ot, a kas iti sakit ti agpaspasikal a babai.
25 How has the city of praise not been forsaken, the town of my joy?
Kuna dagiti tattao daytoy, 'Kasanon ti nalatak a siudad, ti siudad a nagrag-oak, saan kadi pay a napanawan?'
26 Therefore its young men will fall in its plazas, and all the fighting men will perish on that day—this is the declaration of Yahweh of hosts.”
Ngarud mapasagto dagiti agtutubo daytoy a lallaki kadagiti plasa, ken mapasagto dagiti amin a lallaki a mannakigubat iti dayta nga aldaw—daytoy ket pakaammo ni Yahweh a Mannakabalin-amin.”
27 “For I will light a fire on the wall of Damascus, and it will devour the strongholds of Ben Hadad.”
“Ta mangpasgedakto iti apoy iti pader ti Damasco, ket uramennanto dagiti sarikedked ni Ben Hadad.”
28 About Kedar and the kingdoms of Hazor, Yahweh says this to Nebuchadnezzar (now Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon was going to attack these places): “Arise and attack Kedar and destroy those people of the east.
Maipapan iti Kedar ken kadagiti pagarian ti Hasor, kastoy ti kuna ni Yahweh kenni Nebucadnesar (ita mapan darupen ni Nebucadnesar nga ari ti Babilonia dagitoy a lugar): “Tumakderka ket rautem ti Kedar ken dadaelem dagidiay a tattao iti daya.
29 Their tents and their flocks will be taken, along with their tent curtains and all of their equipment; their camels will be led away from them, and men will shout to them, “Terror is on every side!”
Alaento ti armadana dagiti toldada ken dagiti arbanda, dagiti kurtinada, ken dagiti amin nga alikamenda. Alaendanto dagiti kamelioda manipud kadagiti tattao ti Kedar ket ipukkawdanto kadakuada, 'Nakabutbuteng iti amin nga aglawlaw!”
30 Flee! Wander far away! Stay in holes in the ground, inhabitants of Hazor—this is Yahweh's declaration— for Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon has devised a plan against you. Flee! Turn back!
Tumaraykayo! Inkayo aglemmeng iti adayo! Agtalinaedkayo kadagiti abut iti daga, dakayo nga agnanaed iti Hasor—daytoy ket pakaammo ni Yahweh— ta agpangpanggep ni Nebucadnesar nga ari ti Babilonia iti maibusor kadakayo. Tumaraykayo! Agsublikayo!
31 Arise! Attack the nation at ease, that lives in safety,” says Yahweh. “They have no gates or bars in them, and its people live by themselves.
Tumakderkayo! Rautenyo ti sitatalna a nasion, nga agnanaed a sitatalged,” kuna ni Yahweh. “Awananda kadagiti ruangan wenno balunet, ken agnanaed nga is-isuda dagiti tattao daytoy.
32 For their camels will become plunder, and the abundance of their property will become war plunder. Then I will scatter to every wind those who cut the corners of their hair, and I will bring disaster on them from every side—this is Yahweh's declaration.
Ta agbalinto a samsam dagiti kamelioda, ken agbalinto a samsam iti gubat ti nawadwad a sanikuada. Ket iwarakto iti sadinnoman dagiti nangpukis kadagiti murdong ti buokda, ken mangyegakto iti didigra kadakuada iti amin a suli—kastoy ti imbaga ni Yahweh.
33 Hazor will become a lair of jackals, a permanent wasteland. No one will live there; no human being will stay there.”
Agbalinto ti Hasor a pagnaedan dagiti atap nga aso, nga agnanayon a langalang. Awanto ti agnaed sadiay; awanto iti tao nga aggian sadiay.”
34 This is the word of Yahweh that came to Jeremiah the prophet about Elam. This happened at the beginning of the reign of Zedekiah king of Judah, and he said,
Daytoy ti sao ni Yahweh nga immay kenni Jeremias a profeta maipapan iti Elam. Napasamak daytoy iti rugi ti panagturay ni Zedekia nga ari ti Juda, ket kinunana,
35 “Yahweh of hosts says this: See, I am about to break the bowmen of Elam, the main part of their power.
“Ni Yahweh a Mannakabalin-amin, kastoy ti kunana: Kitaenyo, asidegen ti tiempo a tukkolek dagiti pumapana a lallaki ti Elam, nga isu ti kangrunaan a paset iti bilegda.
36 For I will bring the four winds from the four corners of the heavens, and I will scatter the people of Elam to all of those winds. There is no nation to which those scattered from Elam will not go.
Ta iyegkonto dagiti uppat nga angin manipud kadagiti uppat a suli dagiti langit, ket waraekto dagiti tattao ti Elam kadagitoy amin nga angin. Awanto ti nasion a saan a papanan dagiti naiwara manipud Elam.
37 So I will shatter Elam before their enemies and before those who seek their lives. for I will bring disaster against them, the fury of my wrath—this is Yahweh's declaration— and I will send the sword after them until I have annihilated them.
Isu a pagbutngekto ti Elam iti imatang dagiti kabusorda ken iti imatang dagiti mangayat a mangkettel kadagiti biagda, ta mangyegakto iti didigra a maibusor kadakuada, ti narungsot a pungtotko—daytoy ket pakaammo ni Yahweh— ket mangibaonakto iti kampilan a mangkamat kadakuada agingga a maibusko ida.
38 Then I will put my throne in Elam and will destroy its king and leaders from there—this is Yahweh's declaration—
Ket isaadkonto ti tronok idiay Elam ken dadaelekto ti ari daytoy ken dagiti mangidadaulo sadiay—daytoy ket pakaammo ni Yahweh—
39 and it will happen in later days that I will bring back the fortunes of Elam—this is Yahweh's declaration.”
ket mapasamakto kadagiti maud-udi nga al-aldaw nga isublikto dagiti kinabaknang ti Elam—daytoy ket pakaammo ni Yahweh.”
