< Jeremiah 25 >

1 This is the word that came to Jeremiah about all the people of Judah. It came in the fourth year of Jehoiakim son of Josiah, king of Judah. That was the first year of Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon.
Judah lengpa Josiah chapa Jehoiakim lengchan kal kumli lhin kum in, Pakaiyin Jeremiah heng’a, Judah mite jouse dingin thu ahinseiye. Hiche kum chu, Babylon lengpa Nebuchadnezzar lengchan kipat kum ahi.
2 Jeremiah the prophet proclaimed this to all the people of Judah and all the inhabitants of Jerusalem.
Hichu Jeremiah themgao pan jong Judah mite leh Jerusalem mite jouse heng’a aseitai.
3 He said, “For twenty-three years, from the thirteenth year of Josiah son of Amon, king of Judah until this day, Yahweh's words have been coming to me and I have spoken to you again and again, but you have not listened.
Judah lengpa Amon chapa Josiah lengchan kal kum som le thum lhin’a pat tuni geiyin, kum somni le thum sungin, Pakaiyin kaheng a thu ahin seijing in ahi. Keiman hiche thuho chu, tanglou hel in nangho heng’a kaseison jing in, ahivangin nanghon ngaikhohna naneideh pouve.
4 Yahweh sent out all his servants the prophets to you again and again, but you have not listened or paid any attention.
Pakaiyin avel vel in, alhacha themgao ho naheng uva ahinsol jing in, ahivangin nanghon gelkhohna naneipouvin chule jah’a hetding jong nagel dehpouve.
5 These prophets said, 'Let each man turn from his wicked way and the corruption of his practices and return to the land that Yahweh gave in ancient times to your ancestors and to you, as a permanent gift.
Pakai thusei chu hiche ahi, “Nanghon nalamlhahnau lamdih louva kon in hung kihei kit unlang, chule nathilse bol’u chu hindalhauvin. Chutahle nangho chu, keiman napu napateu kana pehsa gamsung’a kachensah ding nahiuve.
6 So do not walk after other gods to worship them or bow down to them, and do not provoke him with the work of your hands so that he does you harm.'
Nanghon nakisemdoh u pathen chom chom ho houna leh chibai bolna-a pandauvin. Keima neiphin lunghang hih un, chutile keiman nangho kabolset loudiu nahiuve,’’ ati.
7 But you have not listened to me—this is Yahweh's declaration—so you have provoked me with the work of your hands to do harm to you.
Pakaiyin hitin aseiye, “Nanghon kathusei nangaipouve. Nanghon nakisem’u milimdoi chu nahouvun, keima neiphin lunghang uvin, nachunguva chiding jumna leh hamsetna nakiloilut’u ahitai.
8 So Yahweh of hosts says this, 'Because you did not listen to my words,
Tun Pakai van Pathen chun hitin aseiye. Nanghon kathusei donlouva nakoitah jeh’un,
9 see, I am about to send out a command to gather all the peoples of the north—this is Yahweh's declaration—with Nebuchadnezzar my servant, king of Babylon, and bring them against this land and its inhabitants, and against all the nations around you. For I will set them apart for destruction. I will turn them into a horror, an object for hissing, and an unending desolation.
Keiman sahlam gam’a kon’a Babylon lengpa Nebuchadnezzar leh namtin vaipi kachop khomding. Keiman amaho chu hiche gamsung douding, agamsung mite leh akimvel’a chengho doudinga kahin sollut ding ahi. Chule keiman nangho aitih a dinga kasuh mang ding, chule namtin vetset leh kidah umtah’a kalha ding nahiuve.
10 I will put an end to the sound of joy and sound of gladness, the sound of the groom and the sound of the bride, the sound of the millstones and the light of the lamp.
Chule keiman nakipanau ogin leh nalasah’u ogin kasuh bei peh ding, jinei ding numei leh pasal kipa thanopna jong kasuh bei ding ahi. Chuteng nain uva sumhei-song gin thip ding, na thaomei jong vahlou ding ahitai.
11 Then all of this land will become a desolation and a horror, and these nations will serve the king of Babylon for seventy years.
Hiche gam pumpi hi, pannabei gamkeo sohding, chule kum somsagi sunga chu Israel leh akimvel a gamsung miten, Babylon lengpa ajenle diu ahi.
12 Then it will happen when seventy years have been completed, that I will punish the king of Babylon and that nation, the land of the Chaldeans—this is Yahweh's declaration—for their iniquity and make it an unending desolation.
Chujouteng, asohchannau kum som sagi ahung kichai nungle, keiman Babylon lengpa leh amite chu agitlounau jal’a, achunguva talen kamatsah ding ahi. Agamsung pumpiu chu, pannabei leh gam homkeova kakoipeh ding ahi, tin Pakaiyin aseiye.
13 Then I will carry out against that land all the words that I had spoken, and everything written in this book that Jeremiah has prophesied against all the nations.
Chule keiman amaho chunga tijat umtah kathutepsa jouse leh, Jeremiah aphondohsa achunguva chiding talen ho chu, aguilhung lou umlouva kalha ding ahi.
14 For also many other nations and great kings will make slaves out of these nations. I will repay them for their deeds and the works of their hands.'”
Chule namtin vaipi nasatah hole leng lentah tah hon, Babylon te soh’a avuldiu; Hita chu amahon kamite abolgentheinau bang banga chu, achunguva kalethuh ding ahi, ati.
15 For Yahweh, God of Israel, said this to me, “Take this cup of the wine of fury from my hand and make all the nations to which I am sending you drink it.
Pakai Israel Pathen chun keima jah’a hitin aseiye. “Hiche kalung hanna khon hi, kakhut’a kon in kilah inlang, keiman nangma kasolna namtin vaipi ho chu donsah in.
16 For they will drink and then stagger about and rant madly before the sword that I am sending out among them.”
Amahon hichu don uvintin, chuteng keiman amaho douna thu kasei jal’a, amaho lonle louva chule ngoldoh gamding ahiuve,’’ati.
17 So I took the cup from Yahweh's hand, and I made all the nations to which Yahweh had sent me drink it:
Hijeh chun keiman Pakai lunghanna khon chu kalan, Pakaiyin eisolna namtin vaipi ho chu abonchauvin kadonsahtai.
18 Jerusalem, the cities of Judah and her kings and officials—to turn them into ruins and something terrifying, and into an object for hissing and cursing, as they are at this present day.
Keima Jerusalem leh Judah gamsunga khopi dang jousea kachen, lengho leh leng chapate jouse jong, hiche khon’a chun adonsoh tauve. Hiche nikho’a pat tunia hitia keohel’a, datmo umleuva, chule gaosap chang dingin,
19 Other nations also had to drink it: Pharaoh king of Egypt and his servants; his officials and all his people;
Keiman hiche khon chu, Egypt lengpa Pharaoh leh agamsung vaipote, chule asohte leh agamsung mite jouse,
20 all people of mixed heritage and all the kings of the land of Uz; all the kings of the land of Philistia—Ashkelon, Gaza, Ekron, and the remnant of Ashdod;
Chule agamsunguva gamchom mi chengho jouse, kapetan ahi. Keiman UZ gamsunga lengho jong, Philistine gamsunga lengho jong, chuleh Ashlkelon, Gaza. Ekron leh Ashdod khopi ho a umden ho jouse jong, kapetan ahi.
21 Edom and Moab and the people of Ammon.
Chuleh Edom mite, Moab mite, Ammon mite jong,
22 The kings of Tyre and Sidon, the kings of the coasts on the other side of the sea,
Chuleh Tyre le Sidon lengho leh twikhanglen gal’a twipi panga chengho jong abonchauvin kapetai.
23 Dedan, Tema, and Buz with all the ones who cut the hair on the sides of their heads, they also had to drink it.
Chule keiman Dedan, Tema, Buz chuleh gam ningkoi lah’a chengho kapetai.
24 All the kings of Arabia and all the kings of people of mixed heritage who live in the wilderness;
Chule Arabia lengte, nelphaiya chengho jong,
25 all the kings of Zimri, all the kings of Elam, and all the kings of the Medes;
Zimrilengte Elam le Media lengte jong, keiman kapetai
26 all the kings of the north, the ones close by and the ones far away—everyone with his brother and all the kingdoms of the world that are on the surface of the earth, all of them had to drink the cup from Yahweh's hand. Finally, the king of Babylon will also drink from that cup.
Chule keiman sahlam gamsung jousea, anai le agamla a um lengho, aban banin, chule leiset chunga lenggam jouse jong kapetai. Achainakeiyin, Babylon lengpa, amatah injong Pakai lunghanna khon chu adontai.
27 Yahweh said to me, “Now you must say to them, 'Yahweh of hosts, God of Israel, says this: Drink and become drunk, then vomit, fall down, and do not rise before the sword that I am sending among you.'
Chuin Pakaiyin kajah’a hitin aseiye, “Tun amaho seipeh in, Pakai Hatchungnung Israel Pathen chun aseiye. Kalunghanna khon’a chun don uvin, donkhamset unlang lolha kit uvin. Kiseplhu uvin lang thou kit hih un, ajeh chu keiman nangho douna-a nalah uva chemjam kahin lhalut ding ahi,’’ natiding ahi.
28 Then it will happen that if they refuse to take the cup from your hand to drink, you will say to them, 'Yahweh of hosts says this: You must certainly drink it.
Ijemtia amahon hiche khon’a chu donding adauva ahileh; Nangman amaho jah’a chu, Pakai Hatchungnung in hitin aseiye, nanaghon hiche khon’a hi nadon teitei diu ahi.
29 For see, I am about to bring disaster on the city that is called by my name, and should you yourselves be free from punishment? You will not be free, for I am calling a sword against all the inhabitants of the land!—this is the declaration of Yahweh of hosts.'
Ajeh chu, keiman kamin’a kikou Jerusalem khopi chu talen kamatsah pan ahitai. Nangho iti talen manlouva kalha ding nahiuvem Nangho talen manlouva naumlou heldiu ahi. Ajeh chu, keiman leiset chung cheng jouse douna-a gal kabolkhum ding ahi, tin Pakaiyin aseiye,’’ natiding ahi.
30 You must prophesy all these words against them, and say to them, 'Yahweh will roar from the heights and he will shout with his voice from his holy dwelling, and he will roar mightily against his fold; and he will shout, like those who tread the grapes against all those who live on the earth.
Hijeh chun nangman amaho douna thu hichenghi, gaovinlang ajah uva naseipeh ding; “Pakai chu achenna van mun thenga kon’a hung kitum ding, lengpiga chil ho husa bang’a, hung husa hamlet lut ding ahi. Chule ama chu, leiset chunga cheng jouse douna-a hung kisen jah ding ahi.
31 The sound of battle will resound to the ends of the earth, for Yahweh brings charges against the nations, and he brings judgment on all flesh, and the wicked ones he will put to the sword—this is Yahweh's declaration.'
Ama thutanna ogin chu leiset mong geiya kitol le le ding, ajeh chu Pakaiyin namtin vaipi chunga douna thu ahinlhut ding ahi. Aman leiset chunga namtin vaipi chunga thu atanding, chule migiloute jouse chemjam’a alousah ding ahi,’’tin Pakaiyin aseiye.
32 Yahweh of hosts says this, 'See, disaster is going out from nation to nation, and a great storm is beginning from the farthest parts of the earth.
Pakai Hatchungnung in hitin aseiye, Ven, namtin vaipi chunga hamsetna khohtah, aban ban’a hunglhung ding. Chimpei hattah leiset mang langkhat apat hung doh ding ahi.
33 Then those killed by Yahweh will on that day extend from one end of the earth to the other; they will not be mourned, gathered, or buried. They will be like dung on the ground.
Hiche nikho chuleh, Pakaiyin mi athaho thilong chu leiset mang langkhat’a pat langkhat geiya kijam chap diu; Amaho chu akadiu leh alunghempi diu mi umlou ding, chule chom khom’a avei ding jong mi umlou ding ahi. Athilong u chu tollhanga chu kithethang’a monlha ding ahiuve.
34 Wail, shepherds, and shout for help! Roll about in the dust, you leaders of the flock, for the days of your slaughter have come; you will be scattered when you fall like fine pottery.
Vo, kelngoi ching phalou ho, nangho kap’uvin lang maovun! Chule nangho kelngoi hon lah’a apipu ho, tollhanga vutlah’a kile le leuvin! Nakithanadiu nikho ahung lhunge, nangma nalhuh ding leibel kehbai tah bang’a namanthah ding ahi.
35 There is no refuge for the shepherds, there will be no escape for the leaders of the flock.
Nangman kiselna ding mun nanei louding, chule jamdoh nading lampi namulou ding ahi.
36 Hear the cries of the shepherds and the wails of the leaders of the flock, for Yahweh is destroying their pastures.
Ngaiyun, kelngoi chingho ka-gin khu, chule kelngoi honlah’a apipu ho pen-gin khu! Ajeh chu, Pakaiyin anehdiu hamhing jouse asuhmangpeh ahitai.
37 So the peaceful pastures will be devastated because of Yahweh's fierce anger.
Pakai lunghan khohse chun, lungmong tah’a achennau hamhing lah jouse chu, nelphai gamhomkeo asotai.
38 Like a young lion, he has left his den, for their land will become a horror because of the oppressor's anger, because of his angry wrath.'”
Keipi in akiselna songko adalhah bangin, Aman amite adalhatai. Pakai lunghanna nasatah leh galmirte chemjam chun, gamsung chu nelgam homkeovin akoitai.
