< Isaiah 7 >
1 During the days of Ahaz son of Jotham son of Uzziah, king of Judah, Rezin the king of Aram, and Pekah son of Remaliah, king of Israel, went up to Jerusalem to war against it, but they could not prevail against it.
E kinde mane Ahaz wuod Jotham ma wuod Uzia, ne ruodh Juda, ruoth Rezin mar Aram to gi Peka wuod Remalia ruodh Israel nomonjo Jerusalem gi lweny, to ne ok ginyal loye.
2 It was reported to the house of David that Aram was allied with Ephraim. His heart trembled, and the heart of his people, as the trees of the forest shake in the wind.
Eka nowach ne od Daudi niya, “Jo-Aram osetimo winjruok gi jo-Efraim,” omiyo chuny Ahaz gi joge kihondko osemako, mana ka yien manie bungu ma yamo yiengo.
3 Then Yahweh said to Isaiah, “Go out with your son Shear-Jashub to meet Ahaz at the end of the conduit of the upper pool, on the road to Launderer's Field.
Eka Jehova Nyasaye nowachone Isaya niya, “Wuogi in kaachiel gi wuodi miluongo ni Shear-Jashub udhi mondo urad gi Ahaz kama oula madonjo e yawo mamalo ogikie mantie but yo miluongo ni Puoth Jaluok lewni.
4 Tell him, 'Be careful, remain calm, do not be afraid or intimidated by these two smoldering firebrands, by the fierce anger of Rezin and Aram, and of Pekah son of Remaliah.
Wachne ni, ‘Bed motangʼ, hori kendo kik iluor. Kik chunyi nyosre nikech osiki ariyo mag mach motimo iro, machal gi mirima mager mar Rezin kod Aram to gi mar wuod Remalia.
5 Aram, Ephraim, and the son of Remaliah have planned evil against you; they have said,
Aram, Efraim kod wuod Remalia osechikoni obadho mondo otieki, kagiwacho niya,
6 “Let us attack Judah and terrify her, and let us break into her and set up our king there, the son of Tabeel.”
“Wadhi mondo wamonj Juda, wakidhe matindo tindo kendo wapoge e kindwa wawegi bangʼe waket wuod Tabel obed ruodhe.”
7 The Lord Yahweh says, “It will not take place; it will not happen,
To kata kamano ma e gima Jehova Nyasaye Manyalo Gik Moko Duto owacho, “‘Ok giniyud thuolo, bende ok notimre,
8 because the head of Aram is Damascus, and the head of Damascus is Rezin. Within sixty-five years, Ephraim will be shattered and will no longer be a people.
nimar dala maduongʼ mar Aram en Damaski, to jatend Damaski en Rezin. Kuom higni piero auchiel gabich Efraim notieki ma kare nolal nono.
9 The head of Ephraim is Samaria, and the head of Samaria is Remaliah's son. If you do not remain firm in faith, surely you will not remain secure.”'”
Dala maduongʼ mar Efraim en Samaria, kendo jatend Samaria en mana wuod Remalia. Omiyo ka ok ichungʼ motegno e yie mari, to ok inichung ngangʼ.’”
10 The Lord spoke again to Ahaz,
Jehova Nyasaye nowuoyo gi Ahaz kendo kawacho niya,
11 “Ask a sign of Yahweh your God; ask for it in the depths or in the height above.” (Sheol )
“Kwa Jehova Nyasaye ma Nyasachi ranyisi moro amora moa mwalo e bur piny kata moa e polo malo.” (Sheol )
12 But Ahaz said, “I will not ask, nor will I test Yahweh.”
To Ahaz nowacho niya, “Ok abi kwayo to bende ok abi temo Jehova Nyasaye.”
13 So Isaiah replied, “Listen, house of David. Is it not enough for you people to test the patience of people? Must you also test the patience of my God?
Eka Isaya nowacho niya, “To un joka Daudi, koro winjuru! Chand muchandogo ji pok oromou? Koso pod udwaro chando Nyasacha bende?
14 Therefore the Lord himself will give you people a sign: See, the young woman will conceive, bear a son, and will call his name Immanuel.
Kuom mano Ruoth Nyasaye owuon biro miyou ranyisi machal kama: Nyako ngili biro mako ich minywol wuowi, ma noluonge ni Imanuel (tiende ni Nyasaye nikodwa).
15 He will eat curds and honey when he knows to refuse the evil and choose the good.

16 For before the child knows to refuse the evil and choose the good, the land whose two kings you dread will be desolate.
To kapok nyathino ongʼeyo pogo rach gi ber, to pinjeruodhi ariyo miluorogo notieki.
17 Yahweh will bring on you, on your people, and on your father's house days unlike any since Ephraim seceded from Judah—he will bring on you the king of Assyria.”
Kokalo kuom ruodh Asuria, Jehova Nyasaye biro kelo kuomi gi kuom jogi kod od wuonu masira mane pok oneye nyaka ne Efraim pogre gi Juda.”
18 At that time Yahweh will whistle for a fly from the distant streams of Egypt, and for a bee from the land of Assyria.
E kindeno Jehova Nyasaye nochok lwangʼni kawuok e aore mag Misri kendo notug kich koa e piny Asuria.
19 They will all come and settle down into all the gorges, into the clefts of the rocks, on all the thornbushes, and onto all the pastures.
Giduto ginibi kendo ginidagi kuonde holo kod buche mag lwendni kendo e bungu mag kuthe kod sokni duto.
20 At that time the Lord will shave with a razor that was hired beyond the Euphrates River—the king of Assyria— the head and the hair of the legs; it will also sweep away the beard.
E kindeno Ruoth Nyasaye nokonyre gi wembe mokwa tok Aora kocha ma en ruodh Asuria, mondo olielgo yie wiyeu, yie tiendeu kod yie tiku bende.
21 On that day, a man will keep alive a young cow and two sheep,
E kindeno ngʼato biro yudo konyruokne koa kuom nyaroya kod diek ariyo.
22 and because of the abundance of milk which they shall give, he will eat curds, for everyone left in the land will eat curds and honey.
To nikech chak mangʼeny manonyiedh kuomgi enonwangʼ mor dhiangʼ mochamo. Jogo duto manodongʼ e pinyno nocham mana mor dhiangʼ kod mor kich.
23 At that time, where there were a thousand vines worth a thousand silver shekels, there will be nothing but briers and thorns.

24 Men will go there to hunt with bows, because all the land will be briers and thorns.
Ji nodhi kuno gi atungʼ kod asere nikech pinyno duto nopongʼ gi pedo kod kuthe.
25 They will stay away from all the hills that were cultivated with the hoe, for fear of the briers and thorns; but it will be a place where cattle and sheep graze.
To kuom gode matindo ma yande ipuro gi kwer, to ok unudhie kendo nikech luoro mar pedo mogawore kod kuthe, to ginibed kuonde ma dhok gi rombe kwayoe.
