Isaiah 62
1 For Zion's sake I will not be silent, and for Jerusalem's sake I will not be quiet, until her righteousness proceeds brightly, and her salvation as a burning torch.
| למען ציון לא אחשה ולמען ירושלם לא אשקוט עד יצא כנגה צדקה וישועתה כלפיד יבער׃ |
2 The nations will see your righteousness, and all kings your glory. You will be called by a new name that Yahweh will choose.
| וראו גוים צדקך וכל מלכים כבודך וקרא לך שם חדש אשר פי יהוה יקבנו׃ |
3 You will also be a crown of beauty in the hand of Yahweh, and a turban of kingship in the hand of your God.
| והיית עטרת תפארת ביד יהוה וצנוף מלוכה בכף אלהיך׃ |
4 It will no more be said of you, “Abandoned”; nor of your land any longer will it be said, “Desolate.” Indeed, you will be called “My delight is in her,” and your land “Married,” for Yahweh delights in you, and your land will be married.
| לא יאמר לך עוד עזובה ולארצך לא יאמר עוד שממה כי לך יקרא חפצי בה ולארצך בעולה כי חפץ יהוה בך וארצך תבעל׃ |
5 Truly, as a young man marries a young woman, so your sons will marry you, and as a bridegroom rejoices over his bride, your God will rejoice over you.
| כי יבעל בחור בתולה יבעלוך בניך ומשוש חתן על כלה ישיש עליך אלהיך׃ |
6 I have put watchmen on your walls, Jerusalem; they are not silent day or night. You who keep reminding Yahweh, do not pause.
| על חומתיך ירושלם הפקדתי שמרים כל היום וכל הלילה תמיד לא יחשו המזכרים את יהוה אל דמי לכם׃ |
7 Do not allow him to rest until he reestablishes Jerusalem and makes it a praise on earth.
| ואל תתנו דמי לו עד יכונן ועד ישים את ירושלם תהלה בארץ׃ |
8 Yahweh has sworn by his right hand and by the arm of his strength, “Surely I will no longer give your grain as food for your enemies. Foreigners will not drink your new wine, for which you have worked.
| נשבע יהוה בימינו ובזרוע עזו אם אתן את דגנך עוד מאכל לאיביך ואם ישתו בני נכר תירושך אשר יגעת בו׃ |
9 For those who harvest the grain will eat it and praise Yahweh, and those who pick the grapes will drink the wine in the courts of my holy sanctuary.”
| כי מאספיו יאכלהו והללו את יהוה ומקבציו ישתהו בחצרות קדשי׃ |
10 Come through, come through the gates! Prepare the way for the people! Build it, build the highway! Gather out the stones! Raise up a signal flag for the nations!
| עברו עברו בשערים פנו דרך העם סלו סלו המסלה סקלו מאבן הרימו נס על העמים׃ |
11 Look, Yahweh announces to the ends of the earth, “Say to the daughter of Zion: Look, your Savior is coming! See, his reward is with him, and his recompense is going before him.”
| הנה יהוה השמיע אל קצה הארץ אמרו לבת ציון הנה ישעך בא הנה שכרו אתו ופעלתו לפניו׃ |
12 They will call you, “The holy people; the redeemed of Yahweh,” and you will be called “Sought after; a city not abandoned.”
| וקראו להם עם הקדש גאולי יהוה ולך יקרא דרושה עיר לא נעזבה׃ |
