Isaiah 55
1 “Come, everyone who is thirsty, come to the water, and you who have no money, come, buy and eat! Come, buy wine and milk without money and without cost.
¡Ah! todos los necesitados, vengan a las aguas, compren y coman; vengan, compren pan sin dinero; vino y leche sin precio.
2 Why do you weigh out silver for what is not bread, and why do you labor for what does not satisfy? Listen carefully to me and eat what is good, and delight yourselves in fatness.
¿Por qué das tú dinero por lo que no es pan, y el fruto de tu trabajo por lo que no te dará placer? Escúchame, para que tu comida sea buena y tengas lo mejor en toda medida.
3 Turn your ears and come to me! Listen, that you may live! I will make an everlasting covenant with you—my reliable, faithful love that I promised to David.
Escuchen, y vengan a mí, tomen nota con cuidado, para que sus almas tengan vida; y haré un acuerdo eterno con ustedes, cumpliendo las promesas conforme a las misericordias mostradas a David.
4 Look, I have placed him as a witness to the nations, as a leader and commander to the peoples.
Mira, le he dado como testigo a los pueblos, como gobernante y guía a las naciones.
5 Look, you will call to a nation that you did not know; and a nation that did not know you will run to you because of Yahweh your God, the Holy One of Israel, who has glorified you.”
Mira, llamarás a una nación de la cual no tuviste conocimiento, y aquellos que no te conocieron vendrán corriendo hacia ti, a causa del Señor tu Dios y del Santo de Israel, porque Él te ha dado la gloria.
6 Seek Yahweh while he may be found; call on him while he is nearby.
Busquen al Señor mientras pueda ser hallado, oren a él mientras está cerca.
7 Let the wicked leave his path, and the man of sin his thoughts. Let him return to Yahweh, and he will pity him, and to our God, who will abundantly forgive him.
Que el pecador abandone su camino, y el malvado su pensamiento; y que vuelva al Señor, que tendrá de él misericordia; y a nuestro Dios, porque es grande en perdonar.
8 “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways my ways—this is Yahweh's declaration—
Porque mis pensamientos no son tus pensamientos, o tus caminos mis caminos, dice el Señor.
9 for as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.
Porque como los cielos son más altos que la tierra, así son mis caminos más altos que tus caminos, y mis pensamientos más que tus pensamientos.
10 For as the rain and snow come down from heaven and do not return there unless they saturate the earth and make it produce and sprout and give seed to the farmer who sows and bread to the eater,
Porque a medida que la lluvia cae, y la nieve del cielo, y no vuelve atrás, sino que da agua a la tierra, y la hace fértil, dando semilla al sembrador, y pan para alimento;
11 so also my word will be that goes from my mouth—it will not return to me empty, but it will achieve the purpose for which I sent it.
Así será mi palabra que sale de mi boca; no volverá a mí sin haber hecho nada, pero dará efecto a mi propósito, y hará aquello para que la envíe.
12 For you will go out in joy and be led along peacefully; the mountains and the hills will break out in joyful shouts before you, and all the trees of the fields will clap their hands.
Saldrás con gozo y serás guiado en paz; las montañas y los montes formarán una melodía delante de ti, y todos los árboles de los campos emitirán sonidos de gozo.
13 Instead of the thornbushes, the cypress will grow; and instead of the brier, the myrtle tree will grow, and it will be for Yahweh, for his name, as an everlasting sign that will not be cut off.”
En lugar de la espina subirá el abeto, y en lugar de la zarzamora el mirto; y será para gloria del nombre del Señor, una señal eterna que no será cortada.
