< Isaiah 31 >

1 Woe to those who go down to Egypt for help and lean on horses, and trust in chariots (for they are many) and in horsemen (for they are countless). But they are not concerned about the Holy One of Israel, nor do they seek Yahweh!
Ipi lungjin nan angao ahitadem Egypt henga panpina thumho, a sakol hou, sakol kangtalaiho chuleh atol ho chunga kinepna aneiyin, Pakai lang vet tah sanga galsat sepai ho hatna in akisong uvin ahi.
2 Yet he is wise, and he will bring disaster and will not retract his words. He will arise against the evil house and against the helpers of those who commit sin.
Pakai chu chingtah ahin, vangsetna nasatah ahin lhunsah ding ahi; a lunggel akhel lou ding ahi. Migilou te douna'a hung thoudoh ding chuleh akithopi apang ho adou ding ahi.
3 Egypt is a man and not God, their horses flesh and not spirit. When Yahweh reaches out with his hand, both the one who helps will stumble, and the one who is helped will fall; both will perish together.
Ajehchu Egypt mite hi mihem maimai ahibouvun, Pathen ahipou ve! A sakol hou jong phengai ngen ahiuvin, thanei jong ahipouve! Pakai in amaho douna'a akhuttum ahinjel tengleh akithopi hou hung kipallhu diu, akithopi teu jong lhu diu ahi. Abonun hunglhu untin, thikhom soh keidiu ahi.
4 This is what Yahweh says to me, “As a lion, even a young lion, growls over its torn prey, when a group of shepherds is called out against it, but it does not tremble at their voices, nor creep away from their sound; thus Yahweh of hosts will descend to fight on Mount Zion, on that hill.
Ahin hiche hi ahi Pakai in eiseipeh chu: “Humpi bahkai nou in kelngoi atha'a achunga dinga a ngeh lut lut teng, kelngoi ching ho hontamtah in ging lul lul in poh thethu jong leu atija dehpon ahi. Hiche banga chu, vanmi janel Pakai chu hung kum lhantin, Zion Mol'a asatding ahi.
5 Like birds in flight, so Yahweh of hosts will protect Jerusalem; he will protect and rescue as he passes over it and preserves it.
Van janel Pakai chu Jerusalem chung dunga leng lentin, vachan abuh ahuhbit banga ahuh bit ding ahi. Khopi chu adal'a, ahuhdoh ding ahi; achunga galkai lea ahuhdoh ding ahi!”
6 Return to him from whom you have deeply turned away, people of Israel.
Nangho midouhat migiloutah hijong leu chun, ka mite nahijeh un, hungun lang, Pakai kom'a din hung kile tao vin.
7 For in that day each one will get rid of his idols of silver and his idols of gold that your own hands have sinfully made.
Niloupi tah khat hung lhung ding ahi ti kahei. Ajeh chu nachonset nau khut in asem thu sana'a kisem leh dangka'a kisem pathen ho amichang cheh in ahin pai mang diu ahi.
8 Assyria will fall by the sword; a sword not wielded by man will consume him. He will flee from the sword, and his young men will be forced to do hard labor.
“Assyria mite chu suhmanga umtei ding ahin, mihem chemjam'a kon hilouding ahi. Pathen chemjam chun asat diu, chuteng kichau va jammang diu ahi. Assyria khangthah hat tah tah hochu gal hinga kaimanga umdiu ahi.
9 They will lose all confidence because of terror, and his princes will be afraid at the sight of Yahweh's battle flag— this is Yahweh's declaration—whose fire is in Zion and whose firepot is in Jerusalem.”
Ahat tah jong tija'a kithing diu, chuleh leng chapa tejong na gal ponlap ho amuteng uleh jammang soh keidiu ahitai,” tin Pakai, Zion'a meihal pa, a meikou in Jerusalem apat ahin kousuh sah pan aseijin ahi.
