< Isaiah 29 >

1 Woe to Ariel, Ariel, the city where David encamped! Add year to year; let the festivals come round.
Ahụhụ ga-adịrị gị, gị bụ Ariel, Ariel, gị obodo ebe Devid bi. Gbakọnyenụ otu afọ nʼafọ ọzọ nke unu ga-eji rie oriri, mee mmemme.
2 But I will besiege Ariel, and she will be mourning and lamenting; and she will be to me like Ariel.
Ma aga m akpagbu Ariel, ọ ga-eru ụjụ, ma bee akwa, ọ ga-adị ka ala ebe ịchụ aja.
3 I will encamp against you in a circle and will lay siege against you with a palisade, and I will raise siege works against you.
Aga m ama ụlọ ikwu m nʼakụkụ gị niile gburugburu, aga m eji ọtụtụ ụlọ elu gba gị gburugburu dokwaa ihe nnọchibido m niile megide gị.
4 You will be brought down and will speak from the ground; your speech will be low from the dust. Your voice will sound like a spirit that speaks from the ground, and out of the dust your speech will whisper.
Nʼọnọdụ mweda nʼala, ị ga-ekwu okwu site nʼala, okwu ọnụ gị ga-esikwa nʼuzuzu pụta. Olu gị ga-ada ka nke onye mmụọ site nʼala, ọ bụ site nʼuzuzu ka okwu ọnụ gị na-ada ntakịrị ntakịrị ga-esi pụta.
5 The great number of your invaders will become like fine dust, and the multitude of the ruthless ones as chaff that passes away. It will happen suddenly, in an instant.
Ma igwe ndị iro gị ga-aghọ ntụ, igwe ndị na-adịghị eme obi ebere ga-adịkwa ka igbugbo ọka nke ifufe na-ebufu. Mgbe ahụ, na mberede,
6 Yahweh of hosts will come to you with thunder, earthquake, great noise, with strong winds and violent storm, and the flames of a devouring fire.
mụ onwe m, bụ Onyenwe anyị, Onye pụrụ ime ihe niile, ga-eji egbe eluigwe na ala ọma jijiji na oke ifufe na oke ụzụ, na ọkụ na-erepịa erepịa, bịakwute ha.
7 It will be like a dream, a vision of the night: A horde of all the nations will fight against Ariel and her stronghold. They will attack her and her fortifications to press upon her.
Mba niile ahụ, ndị na-ebuso Ariel agha, bụ ndị na-ebuso ya na ebe ya e wusiri ike agha, ga-efu dịka nrọ, onye na-arahụ ụra nʼabalị rọrọ.
8 It will be like when a hungry man dreams he is eating, but when he awakes, his stomach is empty. It will be like when a thirsty man dreams that he is drinking, but he when he awakes, he is fainting, with his thirst not quenched. Yes, so will be the great number of nations that fights against Mount Zion.
Dịka mgbe onye agụụ na-agụ, nke na-arọ nrọ ebe ọ na-eri nri, ma agụụ nọkwa na-agụ ya mgbe o si nʼụra teta. Dịka onye agụụ mmiri na-agụ, nke nọ na nrọ hụ mmiri ọ na-aṅụ, ma teta nʼụra chọpụta na akpịrị na-akpọsị ya nkụ ike, na-adakwa mba. E, otu a ka ọ ga-adị mgbe igwe ndị agha mba ahụ niile ga-ebuso ugwu Zayọn agha.
9 Astonish yourselves and be astonished; blind yourselves and be blind! Be drunk, but not with wine; stagger, but not with beer.
10 For Yahweh has poured out on you the spirit of deep sleep. He has closed your eyes, the prophets, and has covered your heads, the seers.
Nʼihi na Onyenwe anyị awụkwasịla unu mmụọ nke oke ụra. O mechiela anya ndị amụma unu niile, kpuchie isi ndị niile na-ahụ ọhụ.
11 All revelation has become to you as the words of a book that is sealed, which men might give to one who is learned, saying, “Read this.” He also says, “I cannot, for it is sealed.”
Ihe ndị a niile na-aga ime nʼoge dị nʼihu dịka akwụkwọ a kara akara. Mgbe e weere ya nye onye ma akwụkwọ ka ọ gụọ, ọ ga-asị, “Enweghị m ike, nʼihi na a kaala ya akara.”
12 If the book is given to one who cannot read, saying, “Read this,” he says, “I cannot read.”
Mgbe e weere ya nye onye na-amaghị akwụkwọ, ọ ga-asị, “Ewela iwe, amaghị m agụ.”
13 The Lord said, “This people comes close to me with their mouths and honors me with their lips, but their heart is far from me. Their honor for me is only a commandment of men that has been taught.
Onyenwe anyị sịrị, “Ndị a ji ọnụ ha na-abịa m nso, ha ji egbugbere ọnụ ha na-asọpụrụ m, ma obi ha dị anya nʼebe m nọ. Ofufe ha na-efe m, bụ nke gbadoro ụkwụ nʼihe mmadụ nyere nʼiwu, bụkwa nke a kuziiri ha.
14 Therefore, see, I will proceed to do a marvelous thing among this people, wonder after wonder. The wisdom of their wise men will perish, and the understanding of their prudent men will disappear.”
Ya mere, otu ugboro ọzọ, aga m eme ndị a ihe oke iju anya jiri ihe ịtụnanya tụkwasị nʼelu ihe ịtụnanya, amamihe nke ndị maara ihe ga-ala nʼiyi, nghọta nke ndị nwere nghọta ga-agba barịị.”
15 Woe to those who deeply hide their plans from Yahweh, and whose deeds are in darkness. They say, “Who sees us, and who knows us?”
16 You turn things upside down! Should the potter be considered like clay, so that the thing that is made should say about him who made it, “He did not make me,” or the thing formed say about him who formed it, “He does not understand”?
Lee ka unu si ekpu ihe ihu nʼala, ka a ga-asị na ọkpụ ite dị ka ụrọ e ji akpụ ite. Ihe mmadụ kpụrụ o nwere ike ịtụgharị gwa onye kpụrụ ya, sị, “Ị kpụghị m”? Ka ite o nwere ike ị sị ọkpụ ite, “Ị ghọtaghị ihe ọbụla”?
17 In just a little while, Lebanon will be turned into a field, and the field will become a forest.
Mgbe na-adịghị anya ọ bụ na Lebanọn agaghị aghọ ala ubi na-emepụta ihe, ala ubi ahụ na-emepụta ihe ga-adịkwa ka oke ọhịa?
18 On that day the deaf will hear the words of a book, and the eyes of the blind will see out of the deep darkness.
Nʼụbọchị ahụ, ndị ntị chiri ga-anụ ihe a na-agụpụta site nʼakwụkwọ ahụ, ndị ìsì, ndị ahụ naara ejegharị nʼọchịchịrị ga-emeghe anya ha, hụkwa ụzọ ọzọ.
19 The oppressed will again rejoice in Yahweh, and the poor among men will rejoice in the Holy One of Israel.
Ndị dị umeala nʼobi, na ndị ogbenye nʼetiti ndị mmadụ ga-achọta ọṅụ na obi ụtọ nke Onyenwe anyị Onye dị nsọ nke Izrel na-enye.
20 For the ruthless will cease, and the scoffer will vanish. All those who love to do evil will be eliminated,
Ndị na-adịghị enwe obi ebere agaghị adịkwa; ndị niile na-akwa emo agaghị adịkwa, ndị niile echiche ha bụ ime ajọ ihe ka a ga-ebipụ ndụ ha,
21 who by a word make a man out to be an offender. They lay a snare for him who seeks justice at the gate and put the righteous down with empty lies.
bụ ndị ahụ na-eme ka e site nʼokwu ọnụ ha mee onye ọzọ onye ikpe mara, ndị na-eme ka onye na-ekpechite ọnụ onye a na-emegbu emegbu maa nʼọnya, ndị na-eji ịgba akaebe ụgha mee ka ikpe ziri ezi hapụ irute ndị ezi omume aka.
22 Therefore this is what Yahweh says concerning the house of Jacob—Yahweh, who redeemed Abraham, “Jacob will no longer be ashamed, nor will his face be pale.
Ya mere, nke a bụ ihe Onyenwe anyị onye gbapụtara Ebraham na-agwa ụlọ Jekọb, “Ndị m, a gaghị emekwa ka ihere mee unu ọzọ. Ihu unu agaghị agbarụkwa ọzọ.
23 But when he sees his children, the work of my hands, they will make my name holy. They will make holy the name of the Holy One of Jacob and they will stand in awe of the God of Israel.
Mgbe ha hụrụ ụmụ ha, bụ ọrụ aka m abụọ, nʼetiti ha, ha ga-edo aha m nsọ, ha ga-ekwupụta, nabatakwa ịdị nsọ nke Onye nsọ Jekọb, ha ga-eguzokwa nʼihu Chineke Izrel nʼegwu na nʼịma jijiji.
24 Those who err in spirit will gain understanding, and complainers will learn knowledge.”
Ndị na-akpafu nʼime mmụọ ha ga-enweta nghọta, ndị ntamu ga-achọkwa ka ha mụta ihe.”
