Isaiah 29
1 Woe to Ariel, Ariel, the city where David encamped! Add year to year; let the festivals come round.
১ধিক, অরীয়েল, অরীয়েল, দায়ূদদের শিবির শহর। তোমরা এক বছরে অন্য বছর যোগ কর, উত্সব ঘুরে আসুক।
2 But I will besiege Ariel, and she will be mourning and lamenting; and she will be to me like Ariel.
২কিন্তু আমি অরীয়েলের জন্য দুঃখ ঘটাব, তাতে শোক ও বিলাপ হবে; আর সে আমার জন্যে অরীয়েলের মত হবে।
3 I will encamp against you in a circle and will lay siege against you with a palisade, and I will raise siege works against you.
৩আমি তোমার চারিদিকে শিবির স্থাপন করব ও গড় দিয়ে তোমাকে ঘিরব এবং তোমার বিরুদ্ধে অবরোধ নির্মাণ করব;
4 You will be brought down and will speak from the ground; your speech will be low from the dust. Your voice will sound like a spirit that speaks from the ground, and out of the dust your speech will whisper.
৪তাতে তুমি অবনত হবে, মাটি থেকে কথা বলবে ও ধূলো থেকে আস্তে আস্তে তোমার কথা বলবে; ভূতের মত তোমার রব মাটি থেকে বের হবে ও ধূলো থেকে তোমার কথার ফুসফুস শব্দ হবে।
5 The great number of your invaders will become like fine dust, and the multitude of the ruthless ones as chaff that passes away. It will happen suddenly, in an instant.
৫কিন্তু তোমার শত্রুদের জনসমাবেশ সুক্ষ ধূলোর মতো হবে, দুর্দান্তদের জনসমাবেশ উড়ন্ত ভুষির মত হবে; এটা হঠাৎ, মুহূর্তের মধ্যে ঘটবে,
6 Yahweh of hosts will come to you with thunder, earthquake, great noise, with strong winds and violent storm, and the flames of a devouring fire.
৬বাহিনীদের সদাপ্রভু মেঘগর্জন, ভূমিকম্প, মহাশব্দ, ঘূর্নবায়ু, বিপদ ও সব কিছু গ্রাসকারী আগুনের শিখার সঙ্গে তার তত্ত্ব নেবেন।
7 It will be like a dream, a vision of the night: A horde of all the nations will fight against Ariel and her stronghold. They will attack her and her fortifications to press upon her.
৭তাতে সব জাতির জনসমাবেশ অরীয়েলের বিরুদ্ধে যুদ্ধ করে, যে সব লোক তার ও সেই দুর্গের বিরুদ্ধে যুদ্ধ করে ও তাকে বিপদগ্রস্থ করে, তারা স্বপ্নের মত ও রাতের দর্শনের মত হবে;
8 It will be like when a hungry man dreams he is eating, but when he awakes, his stomach is empty. It will be like when a thirsty man dreams that he is drinking, but he when he awakes, he is fainting, with his thirst not quenched. Yes, so will be the great number of nations that fights against Mount Zion.
৮এরকম হবে, যেমন ক্ষুধিত লোক স্বপ্ন দেখে, যেন সে খাচ্ছে; কিন্তু সে জেগে ওঠে, আর তার প্রাণ খালি হয় অথবা যেমন পিপাসিত লোক স্বপ্ন দেখে, যেন সে পান করছে; কিন্তু সে জেগে ওঠে, দেখ, সে দুর্বল, তার প্রাণে পিপাসা রয়েছে; সিয়োন পর্বতের বিরুদ্ধে যুদ্ধকারী সব জাতির জনগণ তেমনি হবে।
9 Astonish yourselves and be astonished; blind yourselves and be blind! Be drunk, but not with wine; stagger, but not with beer.
৯তোমরা চমত্কৃত হও ও আশ্চর্য্য গান কর, চোখ বন্ধ কর ও অন্ধ হও; ওরা মত্ত, কিন্তু আঙ্গুর রসে না, ওরা টলছে, কিন্তু সুরা পানে নয়।
10 For Yahweh has poured out on you the spirit of deep sleep. He has closed your eyes, the prophets, and has covered your heads, the seers.
১০কারণ সদাপ্রভু তোমাদের ওপরে খুব ঘুমযুক্ত আত্মা ঢেলে দিয়েছে ও তোমাদের ভাববাদীরা চোখ বন্ধ করেছেন, দর্শকদের মত মাথা ঢেকেছেন।
11 All revelation has become to you as the words of a book that is sealed, which men might give to one who is learned, saying, “Read this.” He also says, “I cannot, for it is sealed.”
১১সমস্ত দর্শন, তোমাদের জন্যে বদ্ধ বইয়ের কথার মত হয়েছে; যে লেখাপড়া জানে, তাকে সেই বই দিয়ে যদি বলে, দয়া করে এটা পড় তবে সে উত্তর দেবে, আমি পারিনা, কারণ এটা বদ্ধ।
12 If the book is given to one who cannot read, saying, “Read this,” he says, “I cannot read.”
১২আবার যে লেখাপড়া জানে না, তাকে যদি বই দিয়ে বলা হয়, দয়া করে এটা পড় তবে সে উত্তর দেবে আমি লেখাপড়া জানি না।
13 The Lord said, “This people comes close to me with their mouths and honors me with their lips, but their heart is far from me. Their honor for me is only a commandment of men that has been taught.
১৩প্রভু আরো বললেন, এই লোকেরা আমার কাছাকাছি হয় এবং নিজেদের মুখের কথায় আমার সম্মান করে, কিন্তু তাদের হৃদয় আমার থেকে দূরে রেখেছে।
14 Therefore, see, I will proceed to do a marvelous thing among this people, wonder after wonder. The wisdom of their wise men will perish, and the understanding of their prudent men will disappear.”
১৪অতএব, দেখ, আমি এই জাতিদের মধ্যে আশ্চর্য্য কাজ, বিস্ময়ের পরে চমত্কার কাজ করব; তাতে জ্ঞানীদের জ্ঞান নষ্ট হয়ে যাবে আর বুদ্ধিমানদের বুদ্ধি অদৃশ্য হবে।
15 Woe to those who deeply hide their plans from Yahweh, and whose deeds are in darkness. They say, “Who sees us, and who knows us?”
১৫ধিক সেই লোকদের, যারা সদাপ্রভুর কাছ থেকে তাদের পরিকল্পনাগুলি গভীরভাবে লুকিয়ে রাখে। তারা অন্ধকারে কাজ করে। তারা বলে, “কে আমাদের দেখছে? কে জানতে পারবে?”
16 You turn things upside down! Should the potter be considered like clay, so that the thing that is made should say about him who made it, “He did not make me,” or the thing formed say about him who formed it, “He does not understand”?
১৬তোমাদের কেমন বিপরীত বুদ্ধি! কুমোর কি মাটির মত গণ্য, যে তৈরী করছে তার তৈরী জিনিস কি তার বিষয় বলতে পারে, “সে আমাকে তৈরী করে নি,” অথবা গঠিত জিনিস তার বিষয়ে বলবে যে তাকে তৈরী করেছে, “সে কিছুই জানে না?”
17 In just a little while, Lebanon will be turned into a field, and the field will become a forest.
১৭অল্পদিনের র মধ্যে তো লিবানোনের বন একটা ক্ষেতে পরিণত হবে আর ক্ষেত বন হবে।
18 On that day the deaf will hear the words of a book, and the eyes of the blind will see out of the deep darkness.
১৮সেই দিন বধিররা বইয়ের কথা শুনতে পাবে এবং গভীর অন্ধকারে থাকা অন্ধেরা দেখতে পাবে।
19 The oppressed will again rejoice in Yahweh, and the poor among men will rejoice in the Holy One of Israel.
১৯অত্যাচারিত লোকেরা আবার সদাপ্রভুকে নিয়ে আনন্দিত হবে এবং যারা খুব গরিব তারা ইস্রায়েলের সেই পবিত্রজনকে নিয়ে আনন্দ করবে।
20 For the ruthless will cease, and the scoffer will vanish. All those who love to do evil will be eliminated,
২০নিষ্ঠুরেরা শেষ হয়ে যাবে; ঠাট্টা-বিদ্রূপকারীরাও অদৃশ্য হয়ে যাবে, আর যারা মন্দ কাজ করতে ভালবাসে তাদের ধ্বংস করে ফেলা হবে।
21 who by a word make a man out to be an offender. They lay a snare for him who seeks justice at the gate and put the righteous down with empty lies.
২১তারা কথা দিয়ে মানুষকে দোষী করে, যিনি দরজায় ন্যায়বিচার খোঁজে এবং ধার্ম্মিককে মিথ্যা দিয়ে নত করে।
22 Therefore this is what Yahweh says concerning the house of Jacob—Yahweh, who redeemed Abraham, “Jacob will no longer be ashamed, nor will his face be pale.
২২সেইজন্য অব্রাহামের মুক্তিদাতা সদাপ্রভু যাকোবের বংশ বিষয়ে বলছেন, “যাকোব আর লজ্জা পাবে না; তাদের মুখ আর ফ্যাকাশে হবে না।
23 But when he sees his children, the work of my hands, they will make my name holy. They will make holy the name of the Holy One of Jacob and they will stand in awe of the God of Israel.
২৩কিন্তু যখন সে তার ছেলে মেয়েদের মধ্যে আমার হাতের কাজ দেখবে, তারা আমায় পবিত্র বলে মানবে। যাকোবের সেই পবিত্রজনকে তারা পবিত্র বলে মানবে আর তারা ইস্রায়েলের ঈশ্বরকে সম্মান করবে।
24 Those who err in spirit will gain understanding, and complainers will learn knowledge.”
২৪যারা ভ্রান্ত আত্মার লোকেরা বিবেচনার কথা বুঝবে, বচসাকারীরা জ্ঞান শিখবে।”
