Isaiah 10
1 Woe to those who enact unjust laws and write unfair decrees.
அநீதியான சட்டங்களை இயற்றி, ஒடுக்குகிற கட்டளைகளைப் பிறப்பிக்கிறவர்களுக்கு ஐயோ கேடு!
2 They deprive the needy of justice, rob the poor of my people of their rights, plunder widows, and make the fatherless their prey!
அவர்கள் ஏழைகளின் உரிமைகளைப் பறிப்பதற்கும், என் மக்களில் ஒடுக்கப்பட்டோருக்கு நீதி வழங்காதிருப்பதற்கும், விதவைகளைத் தங்களுக்கு இரையாக்குவதற்கும், அநாதைகளின் சொத்தை அபகரிப்பதற்குமே இந்தக் கட்டளைகளைப் பிறப்பிக்கிறார்கள்.
3 What will you do on judgment day when the destruction comes from far away? To whom will you flee for help, and where will you leave your wealth?
உங்களுக்குத் தண்டனை வரும் நாளிலும், தூரத்திலிருந்து அழிவு வரும்போதும் என்ன செய்வீர்கள்? யாரிடம் உதவிக்கு ஓடுவீர்கள்? உங்கள் செல்வங்களை எங்கு வைப்பீர்கள்?
4 Nothing remains, and you crouch among the prisoners or fall among the killed. In all these things, his anger does not subside; instead, his hand is still stretched out.
கைதிகளுக்கிடையில் பதுங்குவதையும், கொலையுண்டவர்களுக்கிடையில் விழுவதையும்விட, உங்களுக்கு வேறு கதி இராது. இவையெல்லாம் நடந்தும் அவரது கோபம் தீராமல், அவரது கரம் இன்னும் ஓங்கியபடியே இருக்கிறது.
5 Woe to the Assyrian, the club of my anger, the rod by whom I wield my fury!
“எனது கோபத்தின் கோலாய் இருக்கிற அசீரியனுக்கு ஐயோ கேடு! அவனுடைய கையில் எனது கடுங்கோபத்தின் தண்டாயுதம் இருக்கிறது.
6 I send him against an arrogant nation and against the people who bear my overflowing wrath. I order him to take the spoil, to take the prey, and to trample them like mud in the streets.
நான் அவனை இறைவனை மறுதலிக்கிற ஒரு நாட்டுக்கு விரோதமாக அனுப்பி, எனக்குக் கோபமூட்டும் மக்களைக் கொள்ளையிட்டு சூறையாடி, பறித்து, தெருவிலுள்ள சேற்றை மிதிப்பதுபோல் அவர்களை மிதித்துப் போடவும் நான் அவனுக்கு கட்டளை கொடுக்கிறேன்.
7 But this is not what he intends, nor does he think this way. It is in his heart to destroy and eliminate many nations.
ஆனால் அசீரிய அரசன் எண்ணுவது இதுவல்ல; அவனுடைய மனதில் இருப்பதும் இதுவல்ல, பல நாடுகளை அழித்து அவர்களுக்கு ஒரு முடிவைக் கொண்டுவருவதே அவனுடைய நோக்கம்.
8 For he says, “Are not all my princes kings?
அவன் சொல்கிறதாவது, ‘எனது தளபதிகள் எல்லோருமே அரசர்கள் அல்லவா?
9 Is not Kalno like Carchemish? Is not Hamath like Arpad? Is not Samaria like Damascus?
கல்னோ பட்டணம் கர்கேமிஷைப்போல் ஆகவில்லையா? ஆமாத் அர்பாத்தைப்போல் ஆகவில்லையா? சமாரியா தமஸ்குவைப்போல் ஆகவில்லையா?
10 As my hand has overcome idolatrous kingdoms, whose carved figures were greater than those of Jerusalem and Samaria,
எருசலேமிலும், சமாரியாவிலும் உள்ள உருவச்சிலைகளைவிட சிறந்த உருவச்சிலைகளின் அரசுகளை நான் கைப்பற்றினேன்.
11 just as I did to Samaria and her worthless idols, will I not also do the same to Jerusalem and to her idols?”
சமாரியாவுக்கும் அதன் விக்கிரகங்களுக்கும் செய்ததுபோல, எருசலேமுக்கும், அதன் விக்கிரகங்களுக்கும் செய்யமாட்டேனோ?’”
12 When the Lord has finished his work on Mount Zion and on Jerusalem, I will punish the speech of the arrogant heart of the king of Assyria and his prideful looks.
யெகோவா சீயோன் மலைக்கும் எருசலேமுக்கும் விரோதமாக தனது செயல்கள் அனைத்தையும் செய்துமுடித்ததும், “நான் அசீரிய அரசனின் இருதய மேட்டிமைக்கும், அவனுடைய கண்களின் அகங்காரத்துக்கும் அவனைத் தண்டிப்பேன்” என்பார்.
13 For he says, “By my strength and by my wisdom I acted. I have understanding, and I have removed the boundaries of the peoples. I have stolen their treasures, and like a bull I have brought down the inhabitants.
ஏனெனில் அவன் சொல்கிறதாவது: “‘எனது கரத்தின் வல்லமையாலும், எனது ஞானத்தினாலும் அறிவினாலும் நான் இதைச் செய்தேன், நான் பல நாடுகளின் எல்லைகளை அகற்றினேன், அவர்களுடைய செல்வங்களைச் சூறையாடினேன், பெரும் வல்லவனைப்போல் அவர்களின் அரசர்களை அடக்கிக் கீழ்ப்படுத்தினேன்.
14 My hand has seized, as from a nest, the wealth of nations, and as one gathers abandoned eggs, I gathered all the earth. None fluttered their wings or opened their mouth or chirped.”
ஒருவன் பறவைகளின் கூட்டிற்குள் எட்டிக் கைவிடுவதுபோல், நாடுகளின் செல்வத்தை எடுப்பதற்கு என் கை நீட்டப்பட்டது. கைவிடப்பட்ட முட்டைகளை மனிதர் சேர்ப்பதுபோல், எல்லா நாடுகளையும் நான் ஒன்றாகச் சேர்த்தேன். ஒன்றாவது சிறகை அடிக்கவுமில்லை, கூச்சலிடுவதற்காக வாயைத் திறக்கவுமில்லை.’”
15 Will the ax boast about itself against the one who wields it? Will the saw praise itself more than the one who cuts with it? It is as if a rod could lift up those who raise it, or as if a wooden club could lift up a person.
கோடரி தன்னைத் தூக்குபவனைவிட மேலானதோ? வாள் தன்னை உபயோகிக்கிறவனுக்கு மேலாகத் தற்பெருமை கொள்ளுமோ? அப்படியானால், வீசி அடிப்பதற்காக ஒருவன் ஒரு தடியை எடுக்க, அந்தத் தடியோ தன்னை எடுத்தவனையே தூக்கி சுழற்றுவதுபோல் இருக்குமே. மரத்தாலான தண்டாயுதம், தானாகவே எழுந்து நின்று, மரமல்லாத மனிதனைத் தூக்கி சுழற்றுவதுபோல் இருக்குமே.
16 Therefore the Lord Yahweh of hosts will send emaciation among his elite warriors; and under his glory there will be kindled a burning like fire.
ஆகையால் யெகோவா, சேனைகளின் யெகோவா அவனுடைய பலமுள்ள இராணுவவீரர்களுக்குள் உருக்கும் நோயை அனுப்புவார். அவனுடைய பகட்டான ஆடம்பரத்தின்கீழ் எரியும் சுவாலை போன்ற தீயை மூட்டுவார்.
17 The light of Israel will become a fire, and his Holy One a flame; it will burn and devour his thorns and briers in one day.
இஸ்ரயேலின் ஒளியானவர், நெருப்பாகவும், அவர்களுடைய பரிசுத்தர் கொழுந்துவிட்டு எரியும் நெருப்பாகவும் வருவார். அவர் அவனுடைய முட்செடிகளையும், அவனுடைய நெருஞ்சில் செடிகளையும் ஒரே நாளில் எரித்துப்போடுவார்.
18 Yahweh will consume the glory of his forest and of his fruitful land, both soul and body; it will be like when a sick man's life wastes away.
நோயுற்ற ஒருவன் நலிந்துபோவது போல, அவனுடைய காடுகளிலும் வளமுள்ள வயல்களிலும் உள்ள செழிப்பு முற்றிலும் அழிந்துவிடும்.
19 The remnant of the trees of his forest will be so few, that a child could count them.
அவனுடைய காடுகளில் மீதமிருக்கும் மரங்களின் தொகை, ஒரு சிறுபிள்ளைகூட எண்ணக்கூடியதாய் குறைந்திருக்கும்.
20 On that day, the remnant of Israel, the family of Jacob that has escaped, will no longer rely on the one who defeated them, but will indeed depend on Yahweh, the Holy One of Israel.
அந்த நாளில் இஸ்ரயேலில் மீதியிருப்போரும், யாக்கோபின் குடும்பத்தில் தப்பியிருப்போரும் தங்களை முறியடித்தவன்மேல் இனியொருபோதும் நம்பிக்கை வைக்கமாட்டார்கள். ஆனால் இஸ்ரயேலின் பரிசுத்தராகிய யெகோவாவிலேயே உண்மையான நம்பிக்கையை வைப்பார்கள்.
21 A remnant of Jacob will return to the mighty God.
மீதியிருப்பவர்கள் திரும்புவார்கள், யாக்கோபின் குடும்பத்தில் மீதியிருப்பவர்கள் வல்ல இறைவனிடம் திரும்புவார்கள்.
22 For though your people, Israel, are like the sand of the seashore, only a remnant of them will return. Destruction is decreed, as overflowing righteousness demands.
இஸ்ரயேலே, உன் மக்கள் இப்பொழுது கடற்கரை மணல்போல் இருந்தபோதிலும், மீதமிருக்கும் சிலர் மட்டுமே திரும்புவார்கள். மூழ்கடிக்கும் அழிவு ஒன்று கட்டளையிடப்பட்டிருக்கிறது; அது நீதியானது.
23 For the Lord Yahweh of hosts, is about to carry out the destruction determined throughout the land.
நாடு முழுவதற்கும் கட்டளையிடப்பட்ட அழிவை யெகோவா, சேனைகளின் யெகோவா நிறைவேற்றுவார்.
24 Therefore the Lord Yahweh of hosts says, “My people who live in Zion, do not fear the Assyrian. He will strike you with the rod and raise his staff against you, as the Egyptians did.
ஆகையால் யெகோவா, சேனைகளின் யெகோவா சொல்வது இதுவே: “சீயோனில் வாழும் என் மக்களே, எகிப்தியர் செய்ததுபோல, உங்களைப் பிரம்பால் அடித்து, தண்டாயுதத்தை உயர்த்துகிற அசீரியருக்குப் பயப்படவேண்டாம்.
25 Do not fear him, for in a very short time my anger against you will end, and my anger will lead to his destruction.”
உங்களுக்கு விரோதமாக இருக்கும் என் கோபம், வெகுவிரைவில் முடிந்துவிடும். எனது கோபமோ, சீரியர்களுடைய அழிவை நோக்கித் திருப்பப்படும்.”
26 Then Yahweh of hosts will wield a whip against them, as when he defeated Midian at the rock of Oreb. He will raise his rod over the sea and lift it up as he did in Egypt.
ஓரேப் மலையில் மீதியானியரை அடித்து வீழ்த்தியதுபோல, சேனைகளின் யெகோவா அவர்களைச் சவுக்கால் அடிப்பார். எகிப்தில் செய்ததுபோல, தம் கோலை கடலின்மேல் உயர்த்துவார்.
27 On that day, his burden is lifted from your shoulder and his yoke from off your neck, and the yoke will be destroyed because of fatness.
அந்த நாளில் அசீரியனால் உங்களுக்கு உண்டான சுமையோ, உங்கள் தோள்களில் இருந்து நீக்கப்படும்; அவர்களுடைய நுகம் உங்கள் கழுத்திலிருந்து அகற்றப்படும், நீங்கள் கொழுத்திருக்கிறபடியால் நுகம் முறிந்துவிடும்.
28 The enemy has come to Aiath and has passed through Migron; at Michmash he has stored his provisions.
அசீரியர் ஆயாத் பட்டணத்திற்குள் செல்கிறார்கள். மிக்ரோனு வழியாகப் போகிறார்கள் மிக்மாஷாவிலே தமது பொருட்களை வைக்கிறார்கள்.
29 They have crossed over the pass and they lodge at Geba. Ramah trembles and Gibeah of Saul has fled.
அவர்கள் கணவாயைத் தாண்டிச் சென்று சொல்கிறதாவது: “நாம் கேபாவில் இரவு தங்குவோம்.” ராமா நடுங்குகிறது; சவுலின் பட்டணமாகிய கிபியாவின் மக்கள் பயந்து ஓடுகிறார்கள்.
30 Cry aloud, daughter of Gallim! Give attention, Laishah! You poor Anathoth!
காலீம் மகளே, ஓலமிடு! லாயிஷாவே, கேள்! பரிதாபத்திற்குரிய ஆனதோத்தே!
31 Madmenah is fleeing, and the inhabitants of Gebim run for safety.
மத்மேனாவில் உள்ளவர்கள் தப்பி ஓடுகிறார்கள்; கேபீம் மக்கள் ஓடி ஒளிந்துகொள்கிறார்கள்.
32 This very day he will halt at Nob and shake his fist at the mountain of the daughter of Zion, the hill of Jerusalem.
இந்த நாளிலே, அவர்கள் நோபிலே தங்குவார்கள்; எருசலேம் மலையிலுள்ள சீயோன் மகளின் மேட்டுக்கு விரோதமாய், கைநீட்டி மிரட்டுவார்கள்.
33 Behold, the Lord Yahweh of hosts will lop off the boughs with a terrifying crash; the tallest trees will be cut down, and the lofty will be brought low.
பாருங்கள், யெகோவா, சேனைகளின் யெகோவா, மிக்க வல்லமையோடு பெரிய கிளைகளை வெட்டிவிடுவார். பெரு மரங்கள் வீழ்த்தப்படும், ஓங்கி வளர்ந்த மரங்கள் தாழ்த்தப்படும்.
34 He will chop down the thickets of the forest with an ax, and Lebanon in his majesty will fall.
அவர் காட்டுப் புதர்களை கோடரியால் வெட்டி வீழ்த்துவார்; எல்லாம் வல்ல இறைவனின் முன்னே லெபனோன் வீழ்ந்துவிடும்.
