Hosea 1
1 This is the word of Yahweh that came to Hosea son of Beeri in the days of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz and Hezekiah, kings of Judah, and in the days of Jeroboam son of Joash, king of Israel.
Das Wort Jahwes, das an Hosea, den Sohn Beeris, erging - zur Zeit der judäischen Könige Usia, Ahas und Hiskia und zur Zeit des israelitischen Königs Jerobema, des Sohnes des Joas.
2 When Yahweh spoke at first through Hosea, he said to him, “Go, take for yourself a wife who is a prostitute. She will have children who are the result of her prostitution. For the land is committing great prostitution by forsaking Yahweh.”
Als Jahwe anfing, mit Hosea zu reden, sprach Jahwe zu Hosea: Wohlan, heirate ein Hurenweib, daß du Hurenkinder bekommest! Denn nach Art einer Hure verläßt das Land Jahwe und folgt ihm nicht mehr nach.
3 So Hosea went and married Gomer daughter of Diblaim, and she conceived and bore him a son.
Da ging er hin und heiratete Gomer, die Tochter Diblaims; die ward schwanger und gebar ihm einen Sohn.
4 Yahweh said to Hosea, “Call his name Jezreel. For in a little while I will punish the house of Jehu for the bloodshed at Jezreel, and I will put an end to the kingdom of the house of Israel.
Da sprach Jahwe zu ihm: Nenne ihn Jesreel! Denn nur noch eine kleine Weile, so will ich die Blutschuld von Jesreel an Jehus Familie heimsuchen und dem Königtume des Hauses Israel ein Ende machen;
5 It will happen on the day that I break the bow of Israel in the Valley of Jezreel.”
jenes Tags will ich den Bogen Israels in der Ebene Jesreel zerschmettern!
6 Gomer conceived again and bore a daughter. Then Yahweh said to Hosea, “Call her name Lo-Ruhamah, for I will no longer have mercy on the house of Israel, that I should forgive them at all.
Da wurde sie abermals schwanger und gebar eine Tochter. Da wies er ihn an: Nenne sie: Nichtgeliebt! Denn ich will dem Hause Israel fortan keine Vaterliebe mehr erzeigen, daß ich ihnen volle Vergebung gewähren sollte.
7 Yet I will have mercy on the house of Judah, and I will save them by myself, Yahweh their God. I will not save them by bow, sword, battle, horses, or horsemen.”
Dem Hause Juda aber will ich Vaterliebe erzeigen und ihnen Rettung schaffen durch Jahwe, ihren Gott; aber nicht will ich ihnen durch Bogen, noch durch Schwert, noch durch Kampf, noch durch Rosse und Reiter Rettung schaffen!
8 Now after Gomer had weaned Lo-Ruhamah, she conceived and bore another son.
Als sie nun “Nichtgeliebt” entwöhnt hatte, wurde sie wieder schwanger und gebar einen Sohn.
9 Then Yahweh said, “Call his name Lo-Ammi, for you are not my people, and I am not your God.
Da sprach er: Nenne ihn: Nichtmeinvolk! Denn ihr seid nicht mein Volk und ich gehöre nicht zu euch.
10 Yet the number of the people of Israel will be like the sand of the seashore, which cannot be measured or counted. It will be that where it was said to them, 'You are not my people,' it will be said to them, 'You are people of the living God.'
Es soll aber die Zahl der Israeliten dem Sande des Meeres gleich werden, der sich nicht messen und nicht zählen läßt. Und statt daß man von ihnen sagt: Ihr seid Nichtmeinvolk! soll man sie Söhne des lebendigen Gottes nennen!
11 The people of Judah and the people of Israel will be gathered together. They will appoint one leader for themselves, and they will go up from the land, for great will be the day of Jezreel.
Und die Judäer und die Israeliten sollen sich zusammenscharen und sich ein Oberhaupt wählen und aus dem Lande heranziehen; denn der Tag von Jesreel wird gewaltig sein.
