Habakkuk 2
1 I will stand at my guard post and station myself on the watchtower, and I will watch carefully to see what he will say to me and how I should turn from my complaint.
Îmi voi face garda și mă voi așeza pe turn și voi veghea să văd ce îmi va spune și ce îi voi răspunde când voi fi mustrat.
2 Yahweh answered me and said, “Record this vision, and write plainly on the tablets so that the one reading them might run.
Și DOMNUL mi-a răspuns și a zis: Scrie viziunea și lămurește-o pe table, ca să fugă cel ce o citește.
3 For the vision is yet for a future time and will finally speak and not fail. Though it delays, wait for it. For it will surely come and will not tarry.
Pentru că viziunea este pentru încă un timp rânduit, dar la sfârșit va vorbi și nu va minți; deși întârzie, așteapt-o, pentru că va veni cu siguranță, nu va întârzia.
4 Look! The one whose desires are not right within him is puffed up. But the righteous will live by his faith.
Iată, sufletul lui care este înălțat, nu este integru în el, dar cel drept va trăi prin credința lui.
5 For wine is a betrayer of the arrogant young man so that he will not abide, but enlarges his desire like the grave and, like death, is never satisfied. He gathers to himself every nation and gathers up for himself all of the peoples. (Sheol h7585)
Da, de asemenea, pentru că el calcă legea prin vin, el este un om mândru, nici nu stă acasă, el, care își lărgește dorința lui ca iadul și este ca moartea și nu poate fi săturat, dar adună la el toate națiunile și îngrămădește la el toate popoarele; (Sheol h7585)
6 Will not all these create a saying to ridicule him and a taunting song about him, saying, 'Woe to the one increasing what is not his! For how long will you increase the weight of the pledges you have taken?'
Nu vor ridica toți aceștia o parabolă împotriva lui și un proverb zeflemitor împotriva lui și nu vor spune: Vai celui care înmulțește ce nu este a lui! Cât timp? Și celui care se împovărează cu lut gros!
7 Will the ones biting at you not rise up suddenly, and the ones terrifying you awaken? You will become a victim for them.
Nu se vor ridica deodată cei ce te vor mușca și se vor trezi cei ce te vor chinui iar tu vei fi pradă pentru ei?
8 Because you have plundered many peoples, all the remnant of the peoples will plunder you. For you have shed human blood and acted with violence against the land, the cities, and all who live in them.
Pentru că ai prădat multe națiuni, toată rămășița poporului te va prăda; datorită sângelui oamenilor și datorită violenței făcute țării, cetății și tuturor celor ce o locuiesc.
9 'Woe to the one who carves out evil gains for his house, so he can set his nest on high to keep himself safe from the hand of evil.'
Vai celui ce poftește o poftă rea pentru casa lui, ca el să își așeze casa pe înălțime, ca să fie scăpat de puterea răului!
10 You have devised shame for your house by cutting off many people, and have sinned against yourself.
Tu ai croit rușine casei tale, prin stârpirea multor popoare, și ai păcătuit împotriva sufletului tău.
11 For the stones will cry out from the wall, and the rafters of timber will answer them,
Căci piatra va striga din zid și bârna din lemnărie îi va răspunde.
12 'Woe to the one who builds a city with blood, and who establishes a town in iniquity.'
Vai celui ce construiește un oraș cu sânge și întemeiază o cetate prin nelegiuire!
13 Is it not from Yahweh of hosts that peoples labor for fire and all the other nations weary themselves for nothing?
Iată, nu este de la DOMNUL oștirilor, că popoarele vor munci întocmai pentru acest foc și popoarele se vor obosi întocmai pentru această deșertăciune?
14 Yet the land will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of Yahweh as the waters cover the sea.
Căci pământul va fi umplut de cunoștința gloriei DOMNULUI, precum apele acoperă marea.
15 'Woe to the one who forces his neighbors to drink— you express your anger over and you make them drunk in order to look at their nakedness.'
Vai celui ce dă băutură aproapelui său, care îi torni din burduful tău și îl îmbeți de asemenea ca să îi privești goliciunea!
16 You will be filled with shame instead of glory. Now it is your turn! Drink, and you will expose your uncircumcised foreskin! The cup in Yahweh's right hand is coming around to you, and disgrace will cover your glory.
Ești umplut de rușine pentru glorie, bea și tu și lasă-ți prepuțul să fie descoperit; paharul dreptei DOMNULUI va fi întors spre tine, și vomă rușinoasă va fi pe gloria ta.
17 The violence done to Lebanon will overwhelm you and the destruction of animals will terrify you. For you have shed human blood and you have acted with violence against the land, the cities, and all who live in them.
Fiindcă violența Libanului te va acoperi, și prada fiarelor, care i-a înspăimântat, datorită sângelui oamenilor și datorită violenței făcute țării, cetății și tuturor celor ce o locuiesc.
18 What does the carved figure profit you? For the one who has carved it, or who casts a figure from molten metal, is a teacher of lies; for he trusts his own handiwork when he makes these mute gods.
La ce folosește chipul cioplit pe care făcătorul lui l-a cioplit; chipul turnat și învățătorul minciunilor? În care se încrede făcătorul lucrării lui, pentru a face idoli muți?
19 'Woe to the one saying to the wood, Wake up! Or to the silent stone, Arise!' Do these things teach? See, it is overlaid with gold and silver, but there is no breath at all within it.
Vai celui ce spune lemnului: Trezește-te; pietrei mute: Ridică-te, ea ne va învăța! Iată, idolul este acoperit cu aur și argint și nu este deloc suflare în mijlocul lui.
20 But Yahweh is in his holy temple! Be silent before him, all the land.”
Dar DOMNUL este în templul lui sfânt: tot pământul să tacă înaintea lui.
