Genesis 7
1 Yahweh said to Noah, “Come, you and all your household, into the ark, for I have seen that you are righteous before me in this generation.
੧ਫੇਰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਨੂਹ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, ਤੂੰ ਅਤੇ ਤੇਰਾ ਸਾਰਾ ਘਰਾਣਾ ਕਿਸ਼ਤੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਾਓ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਮੈਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਪੀੜ੍ਹੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਧਰਮੀ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਹੈ।
2 Of every clean animal you will bring with you seven males and seven females. From the animals that are not clean, of them bring two, the male and his mate.
੨ਸਾਰੇ ਸ਼ੁੱਧ ਪਸ਼ੂਆਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਸੱਤ-ਸੱਤ ਨਰ ਅਤੇ ਮਾਦਾ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਲ ਲੈ ਲੈ ਅਤੇ ਅਸ਼ੁੱਧ ਪਸ਼ੂਆਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਦੋ-ਦੋ ਨਰ ਅਤੇ ਮਾਦਾ।
3 Also of the birds of the sky, bring seven males and seven females, to preserve their offspring upon the surface of all the earth.
੩ਅਤੇ ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਦੇ ਪੰਛੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਸੱਤ-ਸੱਤ ਨਰ ਮਾਦਾ ਲੈ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਸਾਰੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਅੰਸ ਜੀਉਂਦੀ ਰਹੇ।
4 For in seven days I will cause it to rain upon the earth for forty days and forty nights. I will destroy from off the surface of the ground every living thing that I have made.”
੪ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਸੱਤ ਦਿਨ ਬਾਅਦ ਮੈਂ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਚਾਲ੍ਹੀ ਦਿਨ, ਚਾਲ੍ਹੀ ਰਾਤ ਮੀਂਹ ਵਰਾਉਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਮੈਂ ਸਿਰਜਣਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਦੇ ਉੱਤੋਂ ਮਿਟਾ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ।
5 Noah did all that Yahweh commanded him.
੫ਤਦ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਆਗਿਆ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਨੂਹ ਨੇ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਉਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਹੀ ਕੀਤਾ।
6 Noah was six hundred years old when the flood came upon the earth.
੬ਨੂਹ ਦੀ ਉਮਰ ਛੇ ਸੌ ਸਾਲਾਂ ਦਾ ਸੀ ਜਦ ਪਰਲੋ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਆਈ।
7 Noah, his sons, his wife, and his sons' wives went into the ark together because of the waters of the flood.
੭ਅਤੇ ਨੂਹ, ਉਹ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਉਹ ਦੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਦੀਆਂ ਨੂੰਹਾਂ ਜਲ ਪਰਲੋ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਕਿਸ਼ਤੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਗਏ।
8 Clean animals and unclean animals, birds, and everything that creeps upon the ground,
੮ਸ਼ੁੱਧ ਪਸ਼ੂਆਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਅਤੇ ਅਸ਼ੁੱਧ ਪਸ਼ੂਆਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ, ਪੰਛੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ, ਸਭ ਜ਼ਮੀਨ ਉੱਤੇ ਘਿੱਸਰਨ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ
9 two by two, male and female, came to Noah and went into the ark, just as God had commanded Noah.
੯ਦੋ-ਦੋ ਅਰਥਾਤ ਨਰ ਮਾਦਾ ਕਿਸ਼ਤੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਨੂਹ ਕੋਲ ਗਏ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਨੂਹ ਨੂੰ ਆਗਿਆ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਸੀ।
10 It came about that after the seven days, the waters of the flood came upon the earth.
੧੦ਤਦ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਕਿ ਸੱਤ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਬਾਅਦ ਪਰਲੋ ਦਾ ਪਾਣੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਆਇਆ।
11 In the six hundredth year of Noah's life, in the second month, on the seventeenth day of the month, on the same day, all the fountains of the great deep burst open, and the windows of heaven were opened.
੧੧ਨੂਹ ਦੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇ ਛੇ ਸੌਵੇਂ ਸਾਲ ਦੇ ਦੂਜੇ ਮਹੀਨੇ ਦੇ ਸਤਾਰਵੇਂ ਦਿਨ, ਵੱਡੀ ਡੁੰਘਿਆਈ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਸੋਤੇ ਫੁੱਟ ਨਿੱਕਲੇ ਅਤੇ ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਦੀਆਂ ਖਿੜਕੀਆਂ ਖੁੱਲ੍ਹ ਗਈਆਂ
12 The rain began and fell on the earth for forty days and forty nights.
੧੨ਅਤੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਚਾਲ੍ਹੀ ਦਿਨ ਅਤੇ ਚਾਲ੍ਹੀ ਰਾਤ ਵਰਖਾ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਰਹੀ।
13 On that very same day Noah and his sons, Shem, Ham, and Japheth, and Noah's wife, and the three wives of his sons with them, entered into the ark.
੧੩ਉਸੇ ਦਿਨ ਨੂਹ, ਸ਼ੇਮ, ਹਾਮ, ਯਾਫ਼ਥ ਨੂਹ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਨੂਹ ਦੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਦੀਆਂ ਤਿੰਨੇ ਨੂੰਹਾਂ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਕਿਸ਼ਤੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਾਖ਼ਿਲ ਹੋਏ।
14 They entered along with each wild animal according to its kind, and each sort of livestock according to its kind, and each creeping thing that creeps upon the earth according to its kind, and every sort of bird according to its kind, each kind of creature with wings.
੧੪ਹਰੇਕ ਜੰਗਲੀ ਜਾਨਵਰ, ਹਰੇਕ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਘਿੱਸਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ, ਹਰੇਕ ਕਿਸਮ ਦੇ ਪੰਛੀ ਉਸ ਕਿਸ਼ਤੀ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਾਖਿਲ ਹੋਏ।
15 Two of all flesh in which was the breath of life came to Noah and entered into the ark.
੧੫ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਜੀਵਨ ਦਾ ਸਾਹ ਸੀ, ਸਾਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਪ੍ਰਜਾਤੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਜੋੜਾ-ਜੋੜਾ ਕਿਸ਼ਤੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਨੂਹ ਕੋਲ ਆਏ।
16 The animals that went in were male and female of all flesh; they entered in just as God had commanded him. Then Yahweh shut the door after them.
੧੬ਨਰ-ਮਾਦਾ ਸਾਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਆਏ, ਜਿਵੇਂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਆਗਿਆ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਸੀ। ਤਦ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਕਿਸ਼ਤੀ ਦਾ ਦਰਵਾਜ਼ਾ ਬੰਦ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
17 Then the flood came upon the earth for forty days, and the water increased and lifted the ark and raised it above the earth.
੧੭ਪਰਲੋ ਚਾਲ੍ਹੀ ਦਿਨ ਤੱਕ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਰਹੀ ਅਤੇ ਪਾਣੀ ਵੱਧ ਗਿਆ, ਜਿਸ ਕਾਰਨ ਕਿਸ਼ਤੀ ਪਾਣੀ ਉੱਪਰ ਚੁੱਕੀ ਗਈ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੋਂ ਉਤਾਹਾਂ ਹੋ ਗਈ।
18 The waters completely covered over the earth, and the ark floated upon the surface of the water.
੧੮ਫੇਰ ਪਾਣੀ ਹੀ ਪਾਣੀ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਹੀ ਵੱਧ ਗਿਆ, ਅਤੇ ਕਿਸ਼ਤੀ ਪਾਣੀ ਦੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਤਰਦੀ ਰਹੀ।
19 The waters rose greatly on the earth so that all the high mountains that were under the entire sky were covered.
੧੯ਅਤੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਦੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਪਾਣੀ ਹੀ ਪਾਣੀ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਉੱਚੇ-ਉੱਚੇ ਪਰਬਤ ਜੋ ਸਾਰੇ ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਦੇ ਹੇਠ ਸਨ, ਢੱਕੇ ਗਏ।
20 The waters rose fifteen cubits above the tops of the mountains.
੨੦ਪਾਣੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਪੰਦਰਾਂ ਹੱਥ ਹੋਰ ਉੱਚਾ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ, ਅਤੇ ਪਰਬਤ ਵੀ ਡੁੱਬ ਗਏ।
21 All living beings that moved upon the earth died—birds, livestock, wild animals, all the living creatures that lived in great numbers upon the earth, and all mankind.
੨੧ਸਾਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਚਲਦੇ ਸਨ, ਕੀ ਪੰਛੀ, ਕੀ ਡੰਗਰ, ਸਾਰੇ ਜੰਗਲੀ ਜਾਨਵਰ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਜੀਵ-ਜੰਤੂ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਧਰਤੀ ਭਰੀ ਹੋਈ ਸੀ ਮਰ ਗਏ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਵੀ।
22 All living creatures who lived on the land, who breathed the breath of life through their noses, died.
੨੨ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਜੀਵਨ ਦਾ ਸਾਹ ਸੀ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਸਨ, ਉਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਮਰ ਗਏ।
23 So every living thing that was on the surface of the earth was wiped out, from mankind to the larger animals, to creeping things, and to birds of the sky. They were all destroyed from the earth. Only Noah and those with him in the ark were left.
੨੩ਹਰ ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਜ਼ਮੀਨ ਦੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਸੀ, ਕੀ ਆਦਮੀ, ਕੀ ਡੰਗਰ, ਕੀ ਘਿੱਸਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਅਤੇ ਕੀ ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਦਾ ਪੰਛੀ ਸਭ ਮਿਟ ਗਏ। ਉਹ ਧਰਤੀ ਤੋਂ ਮਿਟ ਗਏ, ਪਰ ਨੂਹ ਅਤੇ ਜਿੰਨ੍ਹੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਕਿਸ਼ਤੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਨ, ਉਹ ਬਚ ਗਏ।
24 The waters stayed upon the earth for a hundred and fifty days.
੨੪ਡੇਢ ਸੌ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਤੱਕ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਪਾਣੀ ਹੀ ਪਾਣੀ ਰਿਹਾ।
