< Genesis 7 >

1 Yahweh said to Noah, “Come, you and all your household, into the ark, for I have seen that you are righteous before me in this generation.
Angraeng mah Noah khaeah, Nangmah hoi na imthung takoh boih palong thungah akun oh; nang loe ka hmaa ah vaihi dung ih kaminawk salakah kami katoeng ah kang hnuk.
2 Of every clean animal you will bring with you seven males and seven females. From the animals that are not clean, of them bring two, the male and his mate.

3 Also of the birds of the sky, bring seven males and seven females, to preserve their offspring upon the surface of all the earth.
atii kanghmong van ih tavaa doeh amno hoi ampa sarihto ah la boih ah.
4 For in seven days I will cause it to rain upon the earth for forty days and forty nights. I will destroy from off the surface of the ground every living thing that I have made.”

5 Noah did all that Yahweh commanded him.
Angraeng mah thuih ih lok baktih toengah Noah mah sak boih.
6 Noah was six hundred years old when the flood came upon the earth.
Long to tui mah uem naah, Noah loe saning cumvai tarukto oh boeh.
7 Noah, his sons, his wife, and his sons' wives went into the ark together because of the waters of the flood.
Tui len pongah, Noah mah a capanawk, a zu hoi a capanawk ih zu boih, palong thungah akun haih.
8 Clean animals and unclean animals, birds, and everything that creeps upon the ground,
Kaciim hoi kaciim ai moinawk, tavaanawk hoi long ah kavak moinawk boih,
9 two by two, male and female, came to Noah and went into the ark, just as God had commanded Noah.
Sithaw mah Noah khaeah thuih ih lok baktih toengah, amno hoi ampa hnetto kacung ah, Noah hoi nawnto palong thungah akun o.
10 It came about that after the seven days, the waters of the flood came upon the earth.
Ni sarihto pacoengah loe long nuiah tui uemhaih to phak.
11 In the six hundredth year of Noah's life, in the second month, on the seventeenth day of the month, on the same day, all the fountains of the great deep burst open, and the windows of heaven were opened.
Noah hinghaih saning cumvai tarukto koephaih saning, khrah hnetto haih, ni hatlai sarihto naah, kalen hoi kathuk long thung hoiah tui to puek moe, van thokbuemnawk to am-ongh.
12 The rain began and fell on the earth for forty days and forty nights.
Ni qui palito hoi qum qui palito long nuiah kho angzoh.
13 On that very same day Noah and his sons, Shem, Ham, and Japheth, and Noah's wife, and the three wives of his sons with them, entered into the ark.
To na niah Noah loe a capa Shem, Ham hoi Japheth, a zu hoi a capa thumto ih zunawk,
14 They entered along with each wild animal according to its kind, and each sort of livestock according to its kind, and each creeping thing that creeps upon the earth according to its kind, and every sort of bird according to its kind, each kind of creature with wings.
Moi kasannawk, pacah ih moinawk boih, long ah kavak moi, pakhraeh tawn tavaanawk loe Noah hoi nawnto palong thungah akun o.
15 Two of all flesh in which was the breath of life came to Noah and entered into the ark.
Hinghaih tawn, moinawk boih loe hnetto kacung ah, Noah khaeah caeh o moe, palong thungah akun o.
16 The animals that went in were male and female of all flesh; they entered in just as God had commanded him. Then Yahweh shut the door after them.
Sithaw mah Noah khaeah thuih ih lok baktih toengah, moinawk boih amno hoi ampa kacung ah, Noah khaeah palong thungah akun o; to pacoengah Angraeng mah anih to thok khah thuih khoep.
17 Then the flood came upon the earth for forty days, and the water increased and lifted the ark and raised it above the earth.
Long loe ni qui palito thung tui mah uem; kalen aep aep tui mah palong to long ranui ah atoengh tahang.
18 The waters completely covered over the earth, and the ark floated upon the surface of the water.
Tui loe len moe, long ranui bangah sang tahang aep aep; tui mah palong to long ranui ah atoengh tahang.
19 The waters rose greatly on the earth so that all the high mountains that were under the entire sky were covered.
Long nuiah tui len parai pongah, van tlim ah kaom, maesangnawk to tui mah uem boih.
20 The waters rose fifteen cubits above the tops of the mountains.
Mae ranuih dong hatlai panga karoek to tui mah uengh tahang.
21 All living beings that moved upon the earth died—birds, livestock, wild animals, all the living creatures that lived in great numbers upon the earth, and all mankind.
Long ah kaom angtawt thaih moinawk, tavaanawk, pacah ih moinawk, taw ih moisannawk, long ah kavak moinawk hoi kaminawk to duek o boih.
22 All living creatures who lived on the land, who breathed the breath of life through their noses, died.
Saoeng ah kaom, hnah hoi anghahaih takhi tawn moinawk to duek o boih.
23 So every living thing that was on the surface of the earth was wiped out, from mankind to the larger animals, to creeping things, and to birds of the sky. They were all destroyed from the earth. Only Noah and those with him in the ark were left.
Long nuiah kaom kahing hmuennawk, kami, pacah ih moi, long ah kavak moinawk, van ih tavaanawk to tamit boih; Noah angmah, anih hoi nawnto kaom kaminawk khue ni anghmat o.
24 The waters stayed upon the earth for a hundred and fifty days.
Tui mah long to ni cumvai, qui pangato thung uem.
