< Galatians 3 >
1 Foolish Galatians! Who has put a spell on you? It was before your eyes that Jesus Christ was publicly displayed as crucified.
Biyi Galatiyawa ruru!
2 This is the only thing I want to learn from you: Did you receive the Spirit by the works of the law or by believing what you heard?
Mi son ndi mi toh kpe i he ni yi ni kangrji bi kpa Ibrji tsatsarka ni tu ndu doka, ko nitu njanji wa bi wo?
3 Are you so foolish? Having begun by the Spirit, are you now going to finish by the flesh?
Ruru mbi a gbugbuwu nakima? ni mumle bi kpa Ruhu ndindi'a, nakima zizan'a bi k'ma hi ni mi kpa.
4 Have you suffered so many things for nothing—if indeed it was for nothing?
Bi toh kpi gbugbuwu migyen, hra me a migyen?
5 Does he who gives the Spirit to you and works miracles among you do so by the works of the law, or by hearing with faith?
To wawu wa a no yi Ruhu tsatsraka ni ndu bi ikoh ni tsutsu mbi, atie ni tu ndu tron, ko ni wo ni njanji?
6 Just as Abraham “believed God and it was credited to him as righteousness,”
Ibrahim a kpa njanji u Irji, u ba bla yo ni matsiyi ndindima,
7 in the same way, understand, then, that those of faith are the children of Abraham.
Ni nkoh yi bi toh biwa ba kpa njanji, ba mri Ibrahim.
8 The scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, preached the gospel beforehand to Abraham, saying, “In you all the nations will be blessed.”
Itre Irji a guchi ya hi ni ko shishi ni njanji Irji ni kpa bi kora chu wo, ba du bi tre ni Ibrahim ni sen mu: Ni mi me bi kora wawu ba kpa lulu.
9 So then, those of faith are blessed along with Abraham, the man of faith.
Nakima bi wa ba kpa njanji ba bi lulu ni Ibrahim me wa wu'a hi njani.
10 All who rely on the works of the law are under a curse; and so it is written, “Cursed is everyone who does not abide by all the things written in the book of the law, and do them.”
Ba hla biwa ba kpa nyime ni ndu tron, ba nha zi ni mi imbe u tron, ndi ba hla indji wa ana kri nitu kpe wa ba nha ni mi imbe u tron na, kuma nda tie ba wawu'u na ani kpa mre meme ma.
11 Now it is clear that no one is justified before God by the law, because “the righteous will live by faith.”
12 But the law is not of faith, rather, “The person who does the works of the law must live by them.”
13 Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us—for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”—
Kristi a chu ta rju ni lah tron, nda k'ma tie na ba hla wu ni tu mbu, na ba nha zi'a, ba hla wa ba klo ni kunkro.
14 so that the blessing of Abraham might come to the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, so that by faith we might receive the promise of the Spirit.
Nakima lulu wa ahe ni mi Ibrahim aye ni bi kora nimi Kristi Yesu don duta kpa yo yiwu Ruhu ndindi nimi njanji.
15 Brothers, let me speak in human terms. In a man-made contract, no one can set it aside or add to it, once it is established by law.
Mri yayi, mi si tre nitu ka'idodin di, inde indji ba kpanyime ba indji wa ani wru hlega ko baka sru tia.
16 Now the promises were spoken to Abraham and to his descendant. It does not say, “to descendants,” referring to many, but instead to only one, “and to your descendant,” who is Christ.
Zizan'a ba hla lulu ni Ibrahim baba kutra kahlan ma.
17 Now what I mean is this: The law, which came 430 years afterward, does not set aside the covenant previously established by God.
Zizan'a mi hla wayi itron wa aye ise 430 ni kogon ana wru chu yuu Ibrahim wa a hla ni sen mu.
18 For if the inheritance comes by the law, then it no longer comes by promise. But God gave it to Abraham by a promise.
Nakima Irji a ban no Ibrahim migyen ni tu chu yu'u.
19 What, then, was the purpose of the law? It was added because of trespasses, until the descendant of Abraham would come to whom the promise had been made. The law was put into force through angels by a mediator.
20 Now a mediator implies more than one person, but God is one.
21 So is the law against the promises of God? Absolutely not! For if a law had been given that could give life, then righteousness would certainly have come by the law.
Itron ani sen nyu'u ni chu yu'u Irji nakima? Ana he nakina! Inde ba no tron wa ani iya no dri, gbigbi ndindi ani ye ni tron i.
22 But the scripture imprisoned everything under sin. God did this so that the promise to save us by faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe.
Nakima imbe a tsro kpi ba wawu'u ni mi lahtre. Irji tie kima du chu nyu ma u kpa chuwo mbu ni njanji nimi Yesu Kristi ano biwa ba kpa nyime.
23 Now before faith came, we were held captive under the law, imprisoned until faith should be revealed.
Nakima njanji nimi Almasihu aye, ba tro ta nda krju ta ni tron ye ni rah najinji.
24 So then the law became our guardian until Christ came, so that we might be justified by faith.
Nakima itron a guchi hra se Kristi a ye, du ba kpa ta chuwo ni njanji.
25 But now that faith has come, we are no longer under a guardian.
Zizan njanji a ye, kina na lah he ni mi guchi.
26 For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus.
Wawu'u mbi bi mri Irji ni njanji nimi Kristi Yesu.
27 For as many of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ.
Wawu'u mbi wa ba ngla yi nimi Kristi, ban Kristi sru ni kpa mbi.
28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.
29 Then if you are Christ's, you are Abraham's descendants, and heirs according to promise.
Inde bi wu Kristi, bi u kutra kahlen Ibrahim kena, bi gado ni chu yu'u.
