< Ezra 3 >
1 It was the seventh month after the people of Israel came back to their cities, when they gathered together as one man in Jerusalem.
Tukun malem itkosr, mwet Israel elos oakwuki in acn selos. Na elos nukewa toeni Jerusalem.
2 Jeshua son of Jozadak and his brothers the priests, and Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel, and his brothers rose up and built the altar of the God of Israel to offer burnt offerings as it is written in the law of Moses the man of God.
Ac Joshua wen natul Jehozadak, oayapa mwet tol wial, ac Zerubbabel wen natul Shealtiel wi sou lal, elos tukeni sifilpa musai loang lun God lun Israel, tuh elos fah ku in orek kisa firir fac fal nu ke ouiya ma simla in Ma Sap lal Moses, mwet lun God.
3 Then they established the altar on its stand, for dread was on them because of the people of the land. They offered burnt offerings to Yahweh at dawn and evening.
Mwet su foloko liki sruoh elos finne sangeng sin mwet muta fin acn ah, elos sifil pacna musaela loang in kisa fin acn se na ma oan we meet ah. Na elos sifilpa mutawauk in kisakin mwe kisa in lotutang ac mwe kisa in eku ke len nukewa.
4 They also observed the Festival of Shelters as it is written and offered burnt offerings day by day according to the decree, each day's duty on its day.
Elos akfulatye Kufwen Iwen Aktuktuk, fal nu ke ma oakwuk. Ke kais sie len elos sang mwe kisa fal nu ke ma oakwuki nu ke len sac.
5 Accordingly, there were daily burnt offerings and monthly ones and offerings for all the fixed feasts of Yahweh, along with all the freewill offerings.
Ac sayen ma inge, elos oru pac mwe kisa firir ma enenu in fonna kisakinyuk, ac mwe kisa ke Kufwa lun Malem Sasu ac ke toeni nukewa su mwet uh alu nu sin LEUM GOD, oayapa elos sang mwe sang ke insewowo nu sin LEUM GOD.
6 They began to offer up burnt offerings to Yahweh on the first day of the seventh month, although the temple had not been founded.
Mwet uh finne soenna mutawauk in musai Tempul, a ke len se emeet in malem se akitkosr elos mutawauk in orek kisa firir nu sin LEUM GOD.
7 So they gave silver to the stoneworkers and craftsmen, and they gave food, drink, and oil to the people of Sidon and Tyre, so they would bring cedar trees by sea from Lebanon to Joppa, as authorized for them by Cyrus, king of Persia.
Tokosra Fulat Cyrus lun Persia pa fuhlela tuh ma inge nukewa in orek.
8 Then in the second month of the second year after they came to the house of God in Jerusalem, Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel, Jeshua son of Jozadak, the rest of the priests, the Levites, and those who came from captivity back to Jerusalem began the work. They assigned the Levites twenty years old and older to oversee the work of Yahweh's house.
Ouinge elos mutawauk orekma ke malem se akluo in yac se tukun elos foloko nu ke acn se Tempul tuh oan we Jerusalem. Zerubbabel, Joshua, ac mwet wialos, oayapa mwet tol, ac mwet Levi, aok mwet nukewa su folok liki sruoh nu Jerusalem, elos tukeni kasru ke orekma. Mwet Levi nukewa yac longoul matwa ku matu liki, pa itukyang in kol orekma in sifil musai Tempul uh.
9 Jeshua and his sons and brothers, and Kadmiel and his sons, who were descendants of Hodaviah), and the sons of Henadad and their sons and brothers-all of them were Levites-joined together in supervising those working on the house of God.
Jeshua mwet Levi, ac wen natul nukewa ac sou lalos, oayapa Kadmiel ac wen natul nukewa (elos ma in sou lal Hodaviah) elos tukeni kol orekma ke sifilpa musa lun Tempul. (Oasr pac kasreyuk nu selos sin mwet Levi in sou lal Henadad.)
10 The builders laid a foundation for Yahweh's temple. This enabled the priests to stand in their garments with trumpets, and the Levites, sons of Asaph, to praise Yahweh with cymbals, just as the hand of David, king of Israel had commanded.
Ke mwet musa elos mutawauk in oaki pwelung lun Tempul uh, mwet tol elos nokomang nuknuk in alu lalos, ac tu yen srisrngiyuk nu selos wi mwe ukuk in paolos, na mwet Levi in sou lal Asaph elos sruok cymbal natulos ac wi pac tuyak. Elos kaksakin LEUM GOD fal nu ke ma fwack nu selos tutafme in pacl lal Tokosra David me.
11 They sang with praise and thankfulness to Yahweh, “He is good! His covenant faithfulness to Israel endures forever.” All the people cried out with a great shout of joy in praise of Yahweh because the temple's foundations had been laid.
Ke elos on ac kaksakin LEUM GOD, elos kalweni kas inge: “LEUM GOD El wo, ac lungse lal nu sin Israel oan ma pahtpat.” Mwet nukewa elos sala ke kuiyalos nufon, ac kaksakin LEUM GOD, mweyen orekma in oakiya pwelung lun Tempul uh srola.
12 But many of the priests, Levites, and chief patriarchs, those who were old and had seen the first house, when this house's foundations were laid before their eyes, wept loudly. But many people had shouts of joy with gladness and an excited sound.
Mwet matu puspis sin mwet tol ac mwet Levi ac sifen sou, elos tuh liye Tempul se meet ah, na ke elos liye oakwuki lun pwelung ke Tempul se inge, elos wowoyak ac tung. A mwet saya su wi tukeni sac elos sasa ke engan.
13 As a result, people were not able to distinguish the joyful and glad sounds from the sound of people weeping, for the people were crying out with great joy, and the sound was heard from far away.
Wangin mwet ku in akilen inmasrlon wowo ke engan ac wowo ke tung, mweyen pusren ngisyak lalos orala pusra na lulap su ku in lohngyuk yen loessula.
