< Ezekiel 8 >

1 So it came about in the sixth year and the sixth month, in the fifth day of the month, as I sat in my house and the elders of Judah sat before me, that the hand of the Lord Yahweh again fell upon me there.
Ní ọjọ́ karùn-ún, oṣù kẹfà ọdún kẹfà bí mo ṣe jókòó nílé mi pẹ̀lú àwọn àgbàgbà Juda níwájú mi, ọwọ́ Olúwa Olódùmarè bà lé mi níbẹ̀.
2 So I looked, and behold, there was a likeness with the appearance of a man. From the appearance of his hips downward there was fire. And from his hips upward there was the appearance of something shining, like glowing metal.
Nígbà tí mo wò, mo rí ohun kan tí ó jọ ènìyàn. Láti ibi ìbàdí rẹ lọ sísàlẹ̀ dàbí iná, láti ibi ìbàdí yìí sókè sì mọ́lẹ̀ bí idẹ tó ń kọ mọ̀nà.
3 Then he reached out the form of a hand and took me by the hair of my head; the Spirit lifted me up between earth and heaven, and in visions from God, he brought me to Jerusalem, to the entrance of the inner northern gate, where the idol that provokes great jealousy was standing.
Ó na ohun tó dàbí ọwọ́ jáde, ó fi gba mi ní irun orí mú, Ẹ̀mí sì gbé mi sókè sí agbede-méjì ayé àti ọ̀run, ó sì mú mi lọ rí ìran Ọlọ́run, mo sì lọ sí Jerusalẹmu, ṣí ìlẹ̀kùn ẹnu-ọ̀nà òde àríwá níbi tí ère owú tí ó ń mú ni bínú wá níwájú mi.
4 Then behold, the glory of the God of Israel was there, according to the vision I had seen on the plain.
Sì kíyèsi i, ògo Ọlọ́run Israẹli wà níbẹ̀, gẹ́gẹ́ bí ìran ti mo rí ni pẹ̀tẹ́lẹ̀.
5 Then he said to me, “Son of man, lift up your eyes to the north.” So I lifted up my eyes to the north, and to the north of the gate leading to the altar, there in the entrance, was the idol of jealousy.
Ó sì sọ fún mi pé, “Ọmọ ènìyàn, gbójú sókè sí ìhà àríwá.” Èmi náà sì gbójú sókè sí ìhà àríwá mo sì rí ère tí ó ń mú ni jowú ní ẹnu-ọ̀nà ibi pẹpẹ.
6 So he said to me, “Son of man, do you see what they are doing? These are great abominations that the house of Israel is doing here to make me go far from my own sanctuary. But you will turn and see even greater abominations.”
Ó sì wí fún mi pé, “Ọmọ ènìyàn, ṣé o rí ohun tí wọ́n ń ṣe ohun ìríra ńlá tí ilé Israẹli ń ṣe, láti lé mi jìnnà réré sí ibi mímọ́ mi? Ṣùgbọ́n ìwọ yóò tún rí àwọn ìríra ńlá tó tóbi jù èyí lọ.”
7 Then he brought me to the doorway of the courtyard, and I looked, and there was a hole in the wall.
Ó mú mi wá sí ẹnu-ọ̀nà àgbàlá. Mo wò ó, mo sì rí ihò kan lẹ́gbẹ̀ẹ́ ògiri.
8 He said to me, “Son of man, dig into this wall.” So I dug into the wall, and there was a door.
Nígbà náà ló sọ fún mi pé, “Ọmọ ènìyàn, gbẹ́ inú ògiri náà,” nígbà tí mo sì gbẹ́ inú ògiri, mo rí ìlẹ̀kùn kan.
9 Then he said to me, “Go and see the wicked abominations that they are doing here.”
Ó sì wí fún mi pé, “Wọlé kí ìwọ kí ó rí ohun ìríra búburú tí wọ́n ń ṣe níbẹ̀.”
10 So I went in and looked, and behold! There was every form of creeping thing and detestable beast! Every idol of the house of Israel was carved into the wall all around.
Mo wọlé, mo sì rí àwòrán oríṣìíríṣìí ẹranko tí ń fà nílẹ̀ àti àwọn ẹranko ìríra àti gbogbo òrìṣà ilẹ̀ Israẹli tí wọ́n yà sára ògiri.
11 Seventy elders of the house of Israel were there, and Jaazaniah son of Shaphan was standing in their midst. They were standing in front of the images, and each man had his censer in his hand so that the smell of the cloud of incense went up.
Níwájú wọn ni àádọ́rin ọkùnrin tó jẹ́ àgbàgbà ilé Israẹli dúró sí, Jaaṣaniah ọmọ Ṣafani sì dúró sí àárín wọn. Ọ̀kọ̀ọ̀kan wọn sì mú àwo tùràrí lọ́wọ́, òórùn sì ń tú jáde.
12 He said to me, “Son of man, do you see what the elders of the house of Israel are doing in the dark? Each one does this in the hidden chamber of his idol, for they say, 'Yahweh does not see us! Yahweh has forsaken the land.'”
Ó sọ fún mi pé, “Ọmọ ènìyàn, ṣé o ti rí ohun tí àwọn àgbàgbà ilé Israẹli ń ṣe nínú òkùnkùn, olúkúlùkù ní yàrá òrìṣà rẹ̀? Wọ́n ní, ‘Olúwa kò rí wa; Olúwa ti kọ̀ ilé náà sílẹ̀.’”
13 Then he said to me, “Turn again and see the other great abominations that they are doing.”
Ó tún sọ fún mi pé, “Ìwọ yóò rí wọn tí wọ́n ń ṣe àwọn ohun ìríra tó burú jù bẹ́ẹ̀ lọ.”
14 Next he brought me to the entrance of the gate of Yahweh's house that was on the north side, and behold! The women were sitting there mourning for Tammuz.
Ó mú mi wá sí ẹnu-ọ̀nà ilé Olúwa tó wà ní ìhà àríwá, mo sì rí àwọn obìnrin tó jókòó, tí wọ́n sí ẹnu-ọ̀nà ilé Olúwa tó wà ní ìhà àríwá, mo sì rí àwọn obìnrin tó jókòó, tí wọ́n sì ń ṣọ̀fọ̀ fún Tamusi.
15 So he said to me, “Do you see this, son of man? Turn again and see even greater abominations than these.”
Ó sọ fún mi pé, “Ṣé ìwọ rí báyìí, ọmọ ènìyàn? Ìwọ yóò tún rí ìríra tó ga jù èyí lọ.”
16 He brought me into the inner courtyard of Yahweh's house, and behold! at the entrance of the temple of Yahweh between the portico and the altar, there were about twenty-five men with their backs toward the temple of Yahweh and their faces toward the east, and they were worshiping the sun.
Ó mú mi wá sí ibi àgbàlá ilé Olúwa, ní ẹnu-ọ̀nà tẹmpili Olúwa, láàrín ìloro àti pẹpẹ, ni ìwọ̀n ọkùnrin mẹ́ẹ̀dọ́gbọ̀n wà, tí wọ́n kẹ́yìn sí tẹmpili Olúwa tí wọn sì kọjú sí ìlà-oòrùn, wọ́n sì ń foríbalẹ̀ fún oòrùn ní apá ìlà-oòrùn.
17 He said to me, “Do you see this, son of man? Is it a little thing for the house of Judah to do these abominations that they are doing here? For they have filled the land with violence and they have turned again to provoke me to anger, putting the branch to their noses.
Ó sì wí fún mi, “Ṣé ìwọ ti rí èyí ọmọ ènìyàn? Ǹjẹ́ ohun kékeré ni fún ilé Juda láti ṣe àwọn ohun ìríra tí wọn ń ṣe níbi yìí? Ṣé o tún yẹ kí wọ́n fi ìwà ipá kún ilẹ̀ kí wọn sì máa mú mi bínú ní gbogbo ìgbà? Wò wọn bi wọn ṣe n fi ẹ̀ka wọn sínú inú wọn.
18 So I will also act among them; my eye will not have compassion, and I will not spare them. Though they cry in my ears with a loud voice, I will not hear them.”
Nítorí náà, èmi yóò fi ìbínú bá wọn wí; èmi kò ní i dá wọn sí bẹ́ẹ̀ ni èmi kò sì ní fojú àánú wò wọ́n. Bí wọ́n tilẹ̀ ń pariwo sí mi létí, èmi kò ní fetí sí wọn.”
