Ezekiel 7

1 The word of Yahweh came to me, saying,

١ وَأَوْحَى إِلَيَّ الرَّبُّ قَائِلاً:

2 “You, son of man—the Lord Yahweh says this to the land of Israel.” 'An end! An end has come to the four borders of the land.

٢ «يَا ابْنَ آدَمَ، هَذَا مَا يُعْلِنُهُ الرَّبُّ لأَرْضِ إِسْرَائِيلَ. النَّهَايَةُ قَدْ أَزِفَتْ عَلَى زَوَايَا الأَرْضِ الأَرْبَعِ.

3 Now the end is upon you, for I am sending out my wrath on you, and I will judge you according to your ways; then I will bring all your abominations upon you.

٣ قَدْ أَقْبَلَتِ النَّهَايَةُ عَلَيْكِ، فَأُطْلِقُ غَضَبِي عَلَيْكِ وَأَدِينُكِ بِمُقْتَضَى طُرُقِكِ، وَأُجَازِيكِ عَلَى كُلِّ رَجَاسَاتِكِ يَا أَرْضَ إِسْرَائيلَ،

4 For my eyes will not pity you, and I will not spare you. Instead, I will bring your ways upon you, and your abominations will be in your midst, so you will know that I am Yahweh.

٤ فَلا تَتَرَأَّفُ عَلَيْكِ عَيْنِي، وَلا أَعْفُو، بَلْ أُجَازِيكِ بِمُقْتَضَى طُرُقِكِ، وَتَكُونُ رَجَاسَاتُكِ فِي وَسَطِكِ. عِنْدَئِذٍ تُدْرِكُونَ أَنِّي أَنَا الرَّبُّ».

5 The Lord Yahweh says this: Disaster! A unique disaster! Behold, it is coming.

٥ وَهَذَا مَا يُعْلِنُهُ السَّيِّدُ الرَّبُّ: «هُوَذَا شَرٌّ قَدْ أَقْبَلَ، شَرٌّ لَا مَثِيلَ لَهُ.

6 An end is surely coming. The end has woken up against you. Behold, it is coming!

٦ قَدْ حَانَتِ النَّهَايَةُ قَدْ حَانَتِ النَّهَايَةُ. انْتَبَهَتْ لَكِ، وَهَا هِيَ مُقْبِلَةٌ.

7 Your doom is coming to you who inhabit the land. The time has come; the day of destruction is near, and the mountains will no longer be joyful.

٧ قَدْ حَلَّ بِكَ الْقَضَاءُ يَا سَاكِنَ الأَرْضِ، وَأَزِفَ الْمَوْعِدُ، اقْتَرَبَ يَوْمُ الاضْطِرَابِ لَا يَوْمُ الْهُتَافِ فِي الْجِبَالِ.

8 Now before long I will pour out my fury against you and fill up my wrath upon you when I judge you according to your ways and bring all your abominations upon you.

٨ أَنَا مُوْشِكٌ عَلَى صَبِّ غَضَبِي عَلَيْكِ وَأَنْفُثُ غَيْظِي فِيكِ، وَأَدِينُكِ بِمُقْتَضَى طُرُقِكِ، وَأُجَازِيكِ عَلَى كُلِّ رَجَاسَاتِكِ،

9 For my eye will not look compassionately, and I will not spare you. As you have done, I will do to you; and your abominations will be in your midst so you will know that I am Yahweh, the one punishing you.

٩ فَلا تَتَرَأَّفُ عَلَيْكِ عَيْنِي وَلا أَعْفُو، بَلْ أُجَازِيكِ بِمُقْتَضَى طُرُقِكِ، وَتَكُونُ رَجَاسَاتُكِ فِي وَسَطِكِ. وَعِنْدَئِذٍ تُدْرِكُونَ أَنِّي أَنَا الضَّارِبُ.

10 Behold, the day! Behold, it is coming! Doom has gone out! The rod has blossomed, arrogance has budded!

١٠ هَا هُوَ الْيَوْمُ قَدْ أَقْبَلَ! قَدْ حَانَ الْقَضَاءُ وَأَزْهَرَ الظُّلْمُ وَأَفْرَخَتِ الْكِبْرِيَاءُ

11 Violence has grown up into a rod of wickedness— none of them, and none of their multitude, none of their wealth, and none of their importance will last!

١١ انْتَصَبَ الْجَوْرُ وَصَارَ عَصاً لِلشَّرِّ، لِذَلِكَ يَفْنَى الظَّالِمُونَ وَتَفْنَى ثَرْوَتُهُمْ وَضَجِيجُهُمْ وَلا مَنْ يَنُوحُ عَلَيْهِمْ.

12 The time is coming; the day has come close. Do not let the buyer rejoice, nor the seller mourn, since my anger is on the entire multitude!

١٢ قَدْ حَانَ الْمَوْعِدُ وَاقْتَرَبَ الْيَوْمُ، فَلا يَفْرَحَنَّ الْمُشْتَرِي وَلا يَحْزَنَنَّ الْبَائِعُ، لأَنَّ الْغَضَبَ مُنْصَبٌّ عَلَى جُمْهُورِهِمْ بِأَسْرِهِ.

13 For the seller will not return to the land he sold as long as they both live, because the vision concerning the entire multitude will not be reversed; and because of their sins, none of them will be strengthened!

١٣ فَالْبَائِعُ لَنْ يَسْتَرِدَّ مَا بَاعَهُ مَهْمَا طَالَ بِهِ الْعُمْرُ لأَنَّ قَضَاءَ اللهِ يَنْطَبِقُ عَلَى كُلِّ جُمْهُورِهِمْ وَلَنْ يَتَحَوَّلَ عَنْهُمْ، وَلَيْسَ فِي وُسْعِ الشِّرِّيرِ أَنْ يَحْتَفِظَ بِحَيَاتِهِ.

14 They have blown the trumpet and made everything ready, but there is no one marching to battle; since my anger is on the entire multitude.

١٤ قَدْ نَفَخُوا فِي الْبُوقِ، وَأَعَدُّوا كُلَّ شَيْءٍ، وَلَكِنْ لَيْسَ مَنْ يَذْهَبُ لِخَوْضِ الْقِتَالِ، لأَنَّ غَضَبِي مُنْصَبٌّ عَلَى جُمْهُورِهِمْ.

15 The sword is on the outside, and plague and famine are inside the building. Those who are in the field will die by the sword, while famine and plague will consume those in the city.

١٥ السَّيْفُ مُسَلَّطٌ مِنْ خَارِجٍ، وَالْوَبَاءُ وَالْجُوعُ مِنْ دَاخِلٍ. وَالَّذِي فِي الصَّحْرَاءِ يَقْضِي عَلَيْهِ السَّيْفُ، وَمَنْ فِي الْمَدِينَةِ يَفْتَرِسُهُ الْجُوعُ وَالْوَبَاءُ.

16 But some survivors will escape from among them, and they will go to the mountains. Like doves of the valleys, all of them will moan—each man for his iniquity.

١٦ أَمَّا النَّاجُونَ مِنْهُمْ فَيَلُوذُونَ بِالْجِبَالِ كَحَمَامِ الأَوْدِيَةِ، يَبْكِي كُلُّ وَاحِدٍ مِنْهُمْ عَلَى إِثْمِهِ.

17 Every hand will falter and every knee will be weak as water,

١٧ جَمِيعُ الأَيْدِي مُسْتَرْخِيَةٌ، وَكُلُّ الرُّكَبِ مَائِعَةٌ كَالْمِيَاهِ.

18 and they will wear sackcloth, and terror will cover them; and shame will be on every face, and baldness on all of their heads.

١٨ يَتَلَفَّعُونَ بِالْمُسُوحِ، وَيَغْشَاهُمُ الرُّعْبُ، وَيَكْسُو الْعَارُ وُجُوهَهُمْ جَمِيعاً، وَيَطْغَى الْقَرَعُ عَلَى رُؤُوسِهِمْ.

19 They will throw their silver into the streets and their gold will be like refuse. Their silver and their gold will not be able to rescue them in the day of Yahweh's rage. Their lives will not be saved, and their hunger will not be satisfied, because their iniquity has become a stumbling block.

١٩ يَطْرَحُونَ فِضَّتَهُمْ فِي الشَّوَارِعِ، وَيَضْحَى ذَهَبُهُمْ نَجَاسَةً، وَتَعْجِزُ فِضَّتُهُمْ وَذَهَبُهُمْ عَنْ إِنْقَاذِهِمْ فِي يَوْمِ غَضَبِ الرَّبِّ. لَا يُشْبِعُونَ مِنْهُمَا جُوعَهُمْ، وَلا يَمْلأُونَ مِنْهُمَا أَجْوَافَهُمْ لأَنَّهُمَا كَانَا مَعْثَرَةَ إِثْمٍ لَهُمْ.

20 In their pride they took the beauty of his jeweled ornaments, and with them they made their idolatrous figures, and their detestable things. Therefore, I am turning these into an unclean thing to them.

٢٠ حَوَّلُوا جَمَالَ زِينَةِ هَيْكَلِ الرَّبِّ إِلَى زَهْوٍ، وَصَنَعُوا مِنَ الذَّهَبِ وَالْفِضَّةِ تَمَاثِيلَ أَرْجَاسِهِمْ وَأَصْنَامِهِمِ الْمَكْرُوهَةِ، لِذَلِكَ جَعَلْتُهَا رَجَاسَةً لَهُمْ.

21 Then I will give those things into the hand of strangers as plunder and to the wicked of the earth as plunder, and they will defile them.

٢١ أُسْلِمُهَا إِلَى أَيْدِي الْغُرَبَاءِ نَهْباً، وَلأَشْرَارِ الأَرْضِ سَلْباً فَيُنَجِّسُونَهَا.

22 Then I will turn my face away from them when they defile my cherished place; bandits will enter it and defile it.

٢٢ وَأُشِيحُ بِوَجْهِي عَنْهُمْ فَيُدَنِّسُونَ هَيْكَلِي، وَيَدْخُلُ إِلَيْهِ النَّاهِبُونَ وَيُنَجِّسُونَهُ.

23 Make a chain, because the land is filled with the judgment of blood, and the city is full of violence.

٢٣ اصْنَعِ السِّلْسِلَةَ لِشَعْبِي لأَنَّ الأَرْضَ قَدْ عَمَّهَا سَفْكُ الدِّمَاءِ، وَسَادَ الْمَدِينَةَ الْجَوْرُ.

24 So I will bring the most wicked of the nations, and they will possess their houses, and I will bring an end to the pride of the mighty, for their holy places will be defiled!

٢٤ لِذَلِكَ، أَجْلِبُ أَشَرَّ الأُمَمِ فَيَرِثُونَ بُيُوتَهُمْ، وَأَقْضِي عَلَى كِبْرِيَاءِ الأَقْوِيَاءِ فَتَتَنَجَّسُ مَقَادِسُهُمْ.

25 Fear will come! They will seek peace, but there will be none.

٢٥ وَعِنْدَمَا يُقْبِلُ الرُّعْبُ يَلْتَمِسُونَ السَّلامَ فَلا يَجِدُونَهُ،

26 Disaster upon disaster will come, and there will be rumor after rumor. Then they will seek a vision from the prophet, but the law will perish from the priest and advice from the elders.

٢٦ وَتَتَوَالَى بَلِيَّةٌ فَوْقَ بَلِيَّةٍ، وَتَرُوجُ إِشَاعَةٌ تِلْوَ إِشَاعَةٍ، فَيَطْلُبُونَ رُؤْيَا مِنَ النَّبِيِّ. غَيْرَ أَنَّ الشَّرِيعَةَ تَنْصَرِفُ عَنِ الْكَاهِنِ وَالْمَشُورَةَ عَنِ الشُّيُوخِ.

27 The king will mourn and the prince will dress in despair, while the hands of the people of the land will tremble in fear. According to their own ways I will do this to them! I will judge them with their own standards until they know that I am Yahweh.'”

٢٧ يَنُوحُ الْمَلِكُ وَيَتَلَفَّعُ الرَّئِيسُ بِالْيَأْسِ، وَتَرْجُفُ أَيْدِي الشَّعْبِ. أُعَامِلُهُمْ بِمُقْتَضَى تَصَرُّفَاتِهِمْ، وَأَدِينُهُمْ بِمُوْجِبِ أَحْكَامِهِمْ فَيُدْرِكُونَ أَنِّي أَنَا الرَّبُّ».
