1 “Now you, take up a lamentation against the leaders of Israel
“Ka yi makoki game da sarakunan Isra’ila
2 and say, 'Who was your mother? A lioness, she lived with a lion's son; in the midst of young lions, she nurtured her cubs.
ka ce, “‘Mahaifiyarki zakanya ce cikin zakoki! Takan kwanta cikin’yan zakoki ta kuma yi renon kwiyakwiyanta.
3 She is the one who raised up one of her cubs to become a young lion, a lion who learned to tear apart his victims, and then he devoured men.
Ta goyi ɗaya daga cikin kwiyakwiyanta, ya yi girma ya zama zaki mai ƙarfi. Ya koyi yayyage abin da ya yi farauta yakan kuma cinye mutane.
4 Then the nations heard about him. He was caught in their trap, and they brought him with hooks to the land of Egypt.
Al’ummai suka ji labarinsa, aka kuma kama shi cikin raminsu. Suka ja shi da ƙugiyoyi zuwa ƙasar Masar.
5 Then she saw that although she had waited for his return, her expectation was now gone, so she took another of her cubs and raised him to become a young lion.
“‘Sa’ad da ta ga sa zuciyarta bai cika ba, abin da take fata gani ya tafi, sai ta ɗauki wani daga cikin kwiyakwiyanta ta mai da shi zaki mai ƙarfi.
6 This young lion roamed about in the midst of lions. He was a young lion and learned to tear his victims; he devoured men.
Ya yi ta yawo a cikin zakoki, gama yanzu shi zaki ne mai ƙarfi. Ya koyi yayyage abin da ya yi farauta yakan kuma cinye mutane.
7 He seized their widows and ruined their cities. The land and its fullness were abandoned because of the sound of his roaring.
Ya rurrushe kagaransu ya kuma ragargaza biranensu. Ƙasar da dukan waɗanda suke cikinta sun tsorata da jin rurinsa.
8 But the nations came against him from the surrounding provinces; they spread their nets over him. He was caught in their trap.
Sai al’ummai suka tayar masa, waɗannan daga yankunan da suke kewaye. Suka yafa raga dominsa ya kuwa fāɗa cikin raminsu.
9 With hooks they put him in a cage and then they brought him to the king of Babylon. They brought him to the strongholds so that his voice would no longer be heard on the mountains of Israel.
Da ƙugiyoyi suka ja shi cikin keji suka kawo shi wurin sarkin Babilon. Suka sa shi cikin kurkuku, saboda haka ba a ƙara jin rurinsa a kan duwatsun Isra’ila ba.
10 Your mother was like a vine planted in your blood beside the water. it was fruitful and full of branches because of the abundance of water.
“‘Mahaifiyarku kamar kuringa ce a cikin gonar inabi da aka shuka kusa da ruwa; ta ba da’ya’ya da kuma cikakkun rassa saboda yalwan ruwa.
11 It had strong branches that were used for rulers' scepters, and its size was exalted above the branches, and its height was seen by the greatness of its foliage.
Rassanta suka yi ƙarfi, suka dace da sandar mai mulki. Ta yi tsayi zuwa sama ana ganin ta saboda tsayinta da kuma saboda yawan rassanta.
12 But the vine was uprooted in fury and thrown down to the earth, and an eastern wind dried out its fruit. Its strong branches were broken off and withered and fire consumed them.
Amma aka tumɓuke ta cikin fushi aka jefar da ita a ƙasa. Iskar gabas ta sa ta yanƙwane, aka kakkaɓe’ya’yanta; rassanta masu ƙarfi suka bushe wuta kuma ta cinye su.
13 So now it is planted in the wilderness, in a land of drought and thirst.
Yanzu an shuka ta a hamada, a busasshiyar ƙasa marar ruwa.
14 For fire went out from her large branches and consumed its fruit. There is no strong branch on it, no scepter to rule.' This is a lamentation and will be sung as a lamentation.”
Wuta ta fito daga jikin rassanta ta cinye’ya’yanta. Babu sauran reshe mai ƙarfin da ya rage a kanta da ya dace da sandar mai mulki.’ Wannan waƙa ce kuma za a yi amfani da ita a matsayin makoki.”
