Ezekiel 19
1 “Now you, take up a lamentation against the leaders of Israel
»Du aber stimme ein Klagelied an über die Fürsten Israels
2 and say, 'Who was your mother? A lioness, she lived with a lion's son; in the midst of young lions, she nurtured her cubs.
und sprich: ›Wie war doch deine Mutter eine Löwin unter Löwen! Sie hatte ihr Lager inmitten von Jungleuen, zog ihre Jungen groß.
3 She is the one who raised up one of her cubs to become a young lion, a lion who learned to tear apart his victims, and then he devoured men.
Eins von ihren Jungen brachte sie hoch, zum Jungleu wurde es; der lernte Raub erbeuten, Menschen fraß er.
4 Then the nations heard about him. He was caught in their trap, and they brought him with hooks to the land of Egypt.
Da erließen die Völker einen Aufruf gegen ihn: in ihrer Grube wurde er gefangen, und sie brachten ihn mit Ringen nach dem Lande Ägypten. –
5 Then she saw that although she had waited for his return, her expectation was now gone, so she took another of her cubs and raised him to become a young lion.
Als nun seine Mutter sah, daß sie getäuscht, ihre Hoffnung vernichtet war, da nahm sie ein anderes von ihren Jungen und machte es zu einem Jungleu.
6 This young lion roamed about in the midst of lions. He was a young lion and learned to tear his victims; he devoured men.
Der schritt stolz unter den Löwen einher, wurde ein Jungleu; er lernte Raub erbeuten, Menschen fraß er.
7 He seized their widows and ruined their cities. The land and its fullness were abandoned because of the sound of his roaring.
Er machte ihre Witwen zahlreich und entvölkerte ihre Städte, so daß das Land und alles, was darin war, sich vor seinem dröhnenden Gebrüll entsetzte.
8 But the nations came against him from the surrounding provinces; they spread their nets over him. He was caught in their trap.
Da stellten sich die Völker ringsum aus den Landschaften gegen ihn auf und breiteten ihr Netz über ihn aus: in ihrer Grube wurde er gefangen.
9 With hooks they put him in a cage and then they brought him to the king of Babylon. They brought him to the strongholds so that his voice would no longer be heard on the mountains of Israel.
Dann taten sie ihn an Nasenringen in einen Käfig und brachten ihn zum König von Babylon, brachten ihn in eine der Burgen, damit man sein Gebrüll auf den Bergen Israels nicht mehr höre.‹«
10 Your mother was like a vine planted in your blood beside the water. it was fruitful and full of branches because of the abundance of water.
»›Deine Mutter war wie ein Weinstock, im Weingarten am Wasser gepflanzt, reich an Früchten und voller Ranken infolge des reichlichen Wassers;
11 It had strong branches that were used for rulers' scepters, and its size was exalted above the branches, and its height was seen by the greatness of its foliage.
an ihm wuchs ein starker Schoß zum Herrscherstabe, und hoch ragte sein Wuchs empor zwischen dem dichten Laubwerk, und er war weithin sichtbar durch seine Höhe, durch die Fülle seiner Ranken.
12 But the vine was uprooted in fury and thrown down to the earth, and an eastern wind dried out its fruit. Its strong branches were broken off and withered and fire consumed them.
Da wurde er im Grimm ausgerissen, auf die Erde geworfen, und der Ostwind dörrte seine Ranken aus; sein starker Schoß wurde abgerissen und verdorrte, Feuer hat ihn verzehrt.
13 So now it is planted in the wilderness, in a land of drought and thirst.
Jetzt ist er in die Wüste verpflanzt, in dürres, lechzendes Land;
14 For fire went out from her large branches and consumed its fruit. There is no strong branch on it, no scepter to rule.' This is a lamentation and will be sung as a lamentation.”
und Feuer ist von seinem Schoß ausgegangen, hat seine Ranken verzehrt; und es ist an ihm kein starker Schoß mehr geblieben, kein Stab zum Herrschen.‹« Ein Klagelied ist dies, und es ist zum Klagelied geworden.
