Exodus 6
1 Then Yahweh said to Moses, “Now you will see what I will do to Pharaoh. You will see this, for he will let them go because of my strong hand. Because of my strong hand, he will drive them out of his land.”
তখন সদাপ্রভু মোশিকে বললেন, “এখন তুমি দেখবে আমি ফরৌণের প্রতি কী করব: আমার শক্তিশালী হাতের কারণে সে তাদের যেতে দেবে; আমার শক্তিশালী হাতের কারণে সে তাদের তার দেশ থেকে তাড়িয়ে দেবে।”
2 God spoke to Moses and said to him, “I am Yahweh.
এছাড়াও ঈশ্বর মোশিকে বললেন, “আমিই সেই সদাপ্রভু।
3 I appeared to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob as God Almighty; but by my name, Yahweh, I was not known to them.
সর্বশক্তিমান ঈশ্বররূপে আমি অব্রাহামের, ইস্হাকের ও যাকোবের কাছে আবির্ভূত হয়েছিলাম, কিন্তু সদাপ্রভু—আমার এই নামে পুরোপুরিভাবে আমি তাদের কাছে নিজের পরিচয় দিইনি।
4 I also established my covenant with them, in order to give them the land of Canaan, the land where they lived as non-citizens, the land in which they wandered about.
যে কনান দেশে তারা বিদেশিরূপে বসবাস করছিল, সেটি তাদের দেওয়ার জন্য আমি তাদের সাথে আমার নিয়ম প্রতিষ্ঠিতও করেছিলাম।
5 Moreover, I have heard the groaning of the Israelites whom the Egyptians have enslaved, and I have called to mind my covenant.
এছাড়াও, আমি সেই ইস্রায়েলীদের কান্না শুনেছিলাম, যাদের মিশরীয়রা ক্রীতদাস করে রেখেছে, এবং আমি আমার নিয়ম স্মরণ করলাম।
6 Therefore, say to the Israelites, 'I am Yahweh. I will bring you out from slavery under the Egyptians, and I will free you from their power. I will rescue you with a display of my power, and with mighty acts of judgment.
“সুতরাং, ইস্রায়েলীদের বলো: ‘আমি সদাপ্রভু, এবং মিশরীয়দের জোয়ালের তলা থেকে আমি তোমাদের বের করে আনব। তাদের ক্রীতদাস হয়ে থাকার হাত থেকে আমি তোমাদের স্বাধীন করব, এবং এক প্রসারিত হাত ও মহৎ দণ্ডাদেশ সহ আমি তোমাদের মুক্ত করব।
7 I will take you to myself as my people, and I will be your God. You will know that I am Yahweh your God, who brought you out from slavery under the Egyptians.
আমার নিজস্ব প্রজারূপে আমি তোমাদের গ্রহণ করব, এবং আমি তোমাদের ঈশ্বর হব। তখন তোমরা জানবে যে আমিই তোমাদের সেই ঈশ্বর সদাপ্রভু, যিনি মিশরীয়দের জোয়ালের তলা থেকে তোমাদের বের করে এনেছেন।
8 I will bring you into the land that I swore to give to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob. I will give it to you as a possession. I am Yahweh.'”
আর উদ্যত হাত দিয়ে আমি তোমাদের সেই দেশে নিয়ে আসব, যেটি দেওয়ার প্রতিজ্ঞা আমি অব্রাহামের, ইস্হাকের ও যাকোবের কাছে করেছিলাম। এক অধিকাররূপে আমি সেটি তোমাদের দেব। আমিই সদাপ্রভু।’”
9 When Moses told this to the Israelites, they would not listen to him because of their discouragement about their harsh slavery.
মোশি ইস্রায়েলীদের এই খবর দিলেন, কিন্তু তাদের আত্মবিশ্বাসহীনতা ও কঠোর পরিশ্রমের কারণে তারা তাঁর কথা শোনেনি।
10 Then Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,
তখন সদাপ্রভু মোশিকে বললেন,
11 “Go tell Pharaoh, king of Egypt, to let the people of Israel go from his land.”
“যাও, মিশররাজ ফরৌণকে তার দেশ ছেড়ে ইস্রায়েলীদের যেতে দিতে বলো।”
12 Moses said to Yahweh, “If the Israelites have not listened to me, why will Pharaoh listen to me, since I am not good at speaking?”
কিন্তু মোশি সদাপ্রভুকে বললেন, “আমি যেহেতু কম্পমান ঠোঁটে কথা বলি তাই ইস্রায়েলীরাই যখন আমার কথা শুনছে না, ফরৌণ তবে কেন আমার কথা শুনবেন?”
13 Yahweh spoke to Moses and to Aaron. He gave them a command for the Israelites and for Pharaoh, king of Egypt, to bring the Israelites out of the land of Egypt.
ইস্রায়েলীদের ও মিশররাজ ফরৌণের বিষয়ে সদাপ্রভু মোশি ও হারোণের সাথে কথা বললেন, এবং ইস্রায়েলীদের মিশর থেকে বের করে আনার আদেশ তিনি তাঁদের দিলেন।
14 These were the heads of their fathers' houses: The sons of Reuben, the firstborn of Israel, were Hanok, Pallu, Hezron, and Karmi. These were the clan ancestors of Reuben.
তাঁদের কুলের নেতা এঁরাই: ইস্রায়েলের প্রথমজাত সন্তান রূবেণের ছেলেরা: হনোক, পল্লু, হিষ্রোণ ও কর্মি। এরাই হলেন রূবেণের গোষ্ঠী।
15 The sons of Simeon were Jemuel, Jamin, Ohad, Jakin, Zohar, and Shaul—the son of a Canaanite woman. These were the clan ancestors of Simeon.
শিমিয়োনের ছেলেরা: যিমূয়েল, যামীন, ওহদ, যাখীন, সোহর, ও এক কনানীয় মহিলার ছেলে শৌল। এঁরাই হলেন শিমিয়োনের গোষ্ঠী।
16 Here are listed the names of the sons of Levi, together with their descendants. They were Gershon, Kohath, and Merari. Levi lived until he was 137 years old.
তাঁদের নথি অনুসারে এই হল লেবির ছেলেদের নাম: গের্শোন, কহাৎ, ও মরারি। (লেবি 137 বছর বেঁচেছিলেন।)
17 The sons of Gershon were Libni and Shimei.
গোষ্ঠী অনুসারে, গের্শোনের ছেলেরা: লিব্নি ও শিমিয়ি।
18 The sons of Kohath were Amram, Izhar, Hebron, and Uzziel. Kohath lived until he was 133 years old.
কহাতের ছেলেরা: অম্রাম, যিষ্হর, হিব্রোণ ও উষীয়েল। (কহাৎ 133 বছর বেঁচেছিলেন।)
19 The sons of Merari were Mahli and Mushi. These became the clan ancestors of the Levites, together with their descendants.
মরারির ছেলেরা: মহলি ও মূশি। তাঁদের নথি অনুসারে এরাই লেবির বিভিন্ন গোষ্ঠী।
20 Amram married Jochebed, his father's sister. She bore him Aaron and Moses. Amram lived 137 years and then died.
অম্রাম তাঁর পিসিমা সেই যোকেবদকে বিয়ে করলেন, যিনি অম্রামের জন্য মোশি ও হারোণের জন্ম দিলেন। (অম্রাম 137 বছর বেঁচেছিলেন।)
21 The sons of Izhar were Korah, Nepheg, and Zichri.
যিষ্হরের ছেলেরা: কোরহ, নেফগ ও সিখ্রি।
22 The sons of Uzziel were Mishael, Elzaphan, and Sithri.
উষীয়েলের ছেলেরা: মীশায়েল, ইল্সাফন ও সিথ্রি।
23 Aaron married Elisheba, daughter of Amminadab, sister of Nahshon. She bore him Nadab and Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar.
হারোণ অম্মীনাদবের মেয়ে ও নহশোনের বোন ইলীশেবাকে বিয়ে করলেন, এবং তিনি হারোণের জন্য নাদব ও অবীহূ, ইলীয়াসর ও ঈথামরের জন্ম দিলেন।
24 The sons of Korah were Assir, Elkanah, and Abiasaph. These were the clan ancestors of the Korahites.
কোরহের ছেলেরা হলেন: অসীর, ইল্কানা ও অবীয়াসফ। এঁরাই হলেন কোরহের বিভিন্ন গোষ্ঠী।
25 Eleazar, Aaron's son, married one of the daughters of Putiel. She bore him Phinehas. These were the heads of the fathers' houses among the Levites, together with their descendants.
হারোণের ছেলে ইলীয়াসর পুটিয়েলের মেয়েদের মধ্যে একজনকে বিয়ে করলেন, এবং তিনি তাঁর জন্য পীনহসের জন্ম দিলেন। এঁরাই হলেন গোষ্ঠী ধরে ধরে লেবীয় কুলের বিভিন্ন নেতা।
26 These two men were the Aaron and Moses to whom Yahweh said, “Bring out the Israelites from the land of Egypt, by their groups of fighting men.”
এই হারোণ ও মোশিকেই সদাপ্রভু বললেন, “বিভাগ ধরে ধরে তোমরা ইস্রায়েলীদের মিশর থেকে বের করে আনো।”
27 Aaron and Moses spoke to Pharaoh, king of Egypt, to allow them bring out the Israelites from Egypt. These were the same Moses and Aaron.
তাঁরাই—এই মোশি ও হারোণই ইস্রায়েলীদের মিশর থেকে বের করে আনার বিষয়ে মিশররাজ ফরৌণের সাথে কথা বললেন।
28 When Yahweh spoke to Moses in the land of Egypt,
এদিকে সদাপ্রভু যখন মিশরে মোশির সাথে কথা বললেন,
29 he said to him, “I am Yahweh. Say to Pharaoh, king of Egypt, everything that I will tell you.”
তখন তিনি মোশিকে বললেন, “আমি সদাপ্রভু। আমি তোমাকে যা যা বলছি সেসব কথা মিশররাজ ফরৌণকে গিয়ে বলো।”
30 But Moses said to Yahweh, “I am not good at speaking, so why will Pharaoh listen to me?”
কিন্তু মোশি সদাপ্রভুকে বললেন, “আমি যেহেতু কম্পমান ঠোঁটে কথা বলি, তাই ফরৌণ আমার কথা শুনবেন কেন?”
