Ephesians 1
1 Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus through the will of God, to God's holy people in Ephesus, who are faithful in Christ Jesus.
Paulo, apóstolo de Jesus Cristo, pela vontade de Deus, aos santos que estão em Éfeso, e fieis em Cristo Jesus.
2 Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
A vós graça, e paz da parte de Deus nosso Pai e do Senhor Jesus Cristo.
3 May the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ be praised, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ.
Bendito o Deus e Pai de nosso Senhor Jesus Cristo, o qual nos abençoou com todas as bençãos espirituais nos lugares celestiais em Cristo.
4 God chose us in him from the beginning of the world, that we may be holy and blameless in his sight in love.
Como nos elegeu nele antes da fundação do mundo, para que fossemos santos e irrepreensíveis diante dele em caridade;
5 God chose us beforehand for adoption as sons through Jesus Christ, according to the good pleasure of his will.
E nos predestinou para filhos de adoção por Jesus Cristo para si mesmo, segundo o beneplácito de sua vontade,
6 Our adoption results in the praise of his glorious grace that he has freely given us in the One he loves.
Para louvor da glória da sua graça, pela qual nos fez agradáveis a si no Amado.
7 In Jesus Christ we have redemption through his blood and the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace.
Em quem temos a redenção pelo seu sangue, a saber, a remissão das ofensas, segundo as riquezas da sua graça.
8 He lavished this grace upon us with all wisdom and understanding.
Que ele fez abundar para conosco em toda a sabedoria e prudência;
9 God made known to us the hidden purpose of his will, according to what pleased him, and which he demonstrated in Christ,
Descobrindo-nos o mistério da sua vontade, segundo o seu beneplácito, que propuzera em si mesmo,
10 with a view to a plan for the fullness of time, to bring all things together, all things in heaven and on earth, under one head, even Christ.
Para tornar a congregar em Cristo todas as coisas, na dispensação da plenitude dos tempos, tanto as que estão nos céus como as que estão na terra,
11 In Christ we were appointed as heirs. We were decided on beforehand according to the plan of him who works out everything according to the purpose of his will.
Nele, digo, em quem também fomos feitos herança, havendo sido predestinados, conforme o propósito daquele que faz todas as coisas, segundo o conselho da sua vontade;
12 God appointed us as heirs so that we might be the first to have a certain hope in Christ, so we would be for the praise of his glory.
Para que fossemos para louvor da sua glória, nós, os que primeiro esperamos em Cristo,
13 In Christ, you also, when you had heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, you believed in him and were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit,
Em quem também vós estais, depois que ouvistes a palavra da verdade, a saber, o evangelho da vossa salvação, no qual também, havendo crido, fostes selados com o Espírito Santo da promessa.
14 who is the guarantee of our inheritance until we take full possession of it, to the praise of his glory.
O qual é o penhor da nossa herança, para redenção da possessão de Deus, para louvor da sua glória.
15 For this reason, ever since I heard about your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all God's holy people,
Pelo que, ouvindo eu também a fé que entre vós há no Senhor Jesus, e a caridade para com todos os santos,
16 I have not stopped thanking God for you as I mention you in my prayers.
Não cesso de dar graças a Deus por vós, lembrando-me de vós nas minhas orações;
17 I pray that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, will give to you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him.
Para que o Deus de nosso Senhor Jesus Cristo, o Pai da glória, vos dê em seu conhecimento o espírito de sabedoria e de revelação;
18 I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, that you may know the hope to which he has called you and the riches of his glorious inheritance among all God's holy people.
Iluminados os olhos de vosso entendimento, para que saibais qual seja a esperança da sua vocação, e quais as riquezas da glória da sua herança nos santos;
19 In my prayers I ask that you may know the incomparable greatness of his power toward us who believe, according to the working of his great strength.
E qual seja a sobre-excelente grandeza do seu poder em nós, os que cremos, segundo a operação da força do seu poder,
20 This is the same power that God worked in Christ when he raised him from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly places.
A qual operou em Cristo, resuscitando-o dos mortos, e o colocou à sua direita nos céus,
21 He seated Christ far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and every name that is named. Christ will rule, not only in this age, but also in the age to come. (aiōn g165)
Sobre todo o principado, e poder, e potestade, e domínio e todo o nome que se nomeia, não só neste século, mas também no vindouro; (aiōn g165)
22 God put all things under Christ's feet and gave him to the church as head over all things.
E sujeitou todas as coisas a seus pés, e sobre todas as coisas o constituiu por cabeça da igreja,
23 The church is his body, the fullness of him who fills all in all.
A qual é o seu corpo, a plenitude daquele que cumpre tudo em todos.
