Ephesians 3
1 Because of this I, Paul, am the prisoner of Christ Jesus for you Gentiles.
この故に汝ら異邦人のためにキリスト・イエスの囚人となれる我パウロ――
2 I assume that you have heard of the stewardship of the grace of God that was given to me for you.
汝 等のために我に賜ひたる神の恩惠の經綸は汝ら聞きしならん、
3 I am writing according to the revelation made known to me. This is the hidden truth about which I briefly wrote to you.
即ち我まへに簡單に書きおくりし如く、この奧義は默示にて我に示されたり。
4 When you read about this, you will be able to understand my insight into this hidden truth about Christ.
汝 等これを讀みてキリストの奧義にかかはる我が悟を知ることを得べし。
5 In other generations this truth was not made known to the sons of men. But now it has been revealed by the Spirit to his apostles and prophets who were set apart for this work.
この奧義は、いま御靈によりて聖 使徒と聖 預言者とに顯されし如くに、前代には人の子らに示されざりき。
6 This hidden truth is that the Gentiles are fellow heirs, and fellow members of the body, and they share the promise in Christ Jesus through the gospel.
即ち異邦人が福音によりキリスト・イエスに在りて共に世嗣となり、共に一體となり、共に約束に與る者となる事なり。
7 For I became a servant of this gospel by the gift of God's grace given to me through the working of his power.
我はその福音の役者とせらる。これ神の能力の活動に隨ひて我に賜ふ惠の賜物によるなり。
8 This grace was given to me, although I am the least of all the saints, that I should proclaim to the Gentiles the gospel of the unsearchable riches of Christ,
我は凡ての聖徒のうちの最 小き者よりも小き者なるに、キリストの測るべからざる富を異邦人に傳へ、
9 so that I will bring to light for everyone the plan—the mystery hidden for ages in God who created all things. (aiōn g165)
また萬物を造り給ひし神のうちに、世々 隱れたる奧義の經綸の如何なるもの乎をあらはす恩惠を賜はりたり。 (aiōn g165)
10 This plan was made known through the church so the rulers and authorities in the heavenly places would come to know the many-sided nature of the wisdom of God.
いま教會によりて神の豐なる知慧を、天の處にある政治と權威とに知らしめん爲なり。
11 This happened according to the eternal plan that he accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord. (aiōn g165)
これは永遠より我らの主キリスト・イエスの中に、神の定め給ひし御旨によるなり。 (aiōn g165)
12 For in Christ we have boldness and access with confidence because of our faith in him.
我らは彼に在りて彼を信ずる信仰により、臆せず疑はずして神に近づくことを得るなり。
13 Therefore I ask you not to be discouraged because of what I am suffering for you, which is your glory.
されば汝らに請ふ、わが汝 等のために受くる患難に就きて落膽すな、是なんぢらの譽なり。
14 For this reason I bend my knees to the Father,
この故に我は天と地とに在る諸族の名の起るところの父に跪づきて願ふ。
15 from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named.

16 I pray that he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with power through his Spirit, who is in you.
父その榮光の富にしたがひて、御靈により力をもて汝らの内なる人を強くし、
17 I pray that Christ may live in your hearts through faith, that you will be rooted and grounded in his love.
信仰によりてキリストを汝らの心に住はせ、汝らをして愛に根ざし、愛を基とし、
18 May you have strength so you can understand, along with all the believers, what is the width, the length, the height, and the depth,
凡ての聖徒とともにキリストの愛の廣さ・長さ・高さ・深さの如何ばかりなるかを悟り、
19 and that you may know the love of Christ, which goes beyond knowledge, and that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.
その測り知るべからざる愛を知ることを得しめ、凡て神に滿てる者を汝らに滿しめ給はん事を。
20 Now to him who is able to do far beyond all that we ask or think, according to his power that works in us,
願はくは我らの中にはたらく能力に隨ひて、我らの凡て求むる所、すべて思ふ所よりも甚く勝る事をなし得る者に、
