Ephesians 1
1 Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus through the will of God, to God's holy people in Ephesus, who are faithful in Christ Jesus.
神の思召によりてイエズス、キリストの使徒たるパウロ、エフェゾに在る（凡ての）聖徒、並にキリスト、イエズスに於る信徒に[書簡を贈る]。
2 Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
願はくは我父にて在す神及び主イエズス、キリストより、恩寵と平安とを汝等に賜はらん事を。
3 May the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ be praised, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ.
第一項 エフェゾ信徒の為に感謝し祈祷す 第一編 聖會の比なき光榮 祝すべき哉、我主イエズス、キリストの神及び父、是はキリストに於て諸の霊的祝福を以て我等を天より祝し給ひ、
4 God chose us in him from the beginning of the world, that we may be holy and blameless in his sight in love.
御前に於て聖にして汚なき者たらしめんとて、寵愛を以て、世界開闢以前よりキリストによりて選み給ひ、
5 God chose us beforehand for adoption as sons through Jesus Christ, according to the good pleasure of his will.
思召のまにまに、イエズス、キリストを以て己が子とならしめん事を預定し給ひたればなり。
6 Our adoption results in the praise of his glorious grace that he has freely given us in the One he loves.
是最愛なる御子に於て我等に賜ひし榮光ある恩寵の誉の為なり。
7 In Jesus Christ we have redemption through his blood and the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace.
我等が贖を得、罪の赦を得るは、キリストに在りて其御血によれり、即ち神の豊なる恩寵に由れるなり。
8 He lavished this grace upon us with all wisdom and understanding.
其恩寵我等に溢れて、諸の智恵及び悟を開けり、
9 God made known to us the hidden purpose of his will, according to what pleased him, and which he demonstrated in Christ,
是御旨に從ひて、キリストを以て預定し給ひし思召の奥義を、我等に諭し給はん為なり。
10 with a view to a plan for the fullness of time, to bring all things together, all things in heaven and on earth, under one head, even Christ.
此思召は、時期の満つるに及びて一切のもの、即ち天に在るものをも地に在るものをも悉くキリストに於て一の首の下に輯め給ふに在り。
11 In Christ we were appointed as heirs. We were decided on beforehand according to the plan of him who works out everything according to the purpose of his will.
我等もキリストに於て選まれ、思召す儘に萬事を行ひ給ふものの量に從ひて預定せられたり、
12 God appointed us as heirs so that we might be the first to have a certain hope in Christ, so we would be for the praise of his glory.
是先んじてキリストを希望せし我等が、其光榮の誉とならん為なり。
13 In Christ, you also, when you had heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, you believed in him and were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit,
汝等も亦キリストに於て、眞理の言なる汝等の救霊の福音を聞き、且之を信じて約束せられ給ひたりし聖霊を以て證印せられしが、
14 who is the guarantee of our inheritance until we take full possession of it, to the praise of his glory.
之汝等の世嗣の保證として、獲られたる人々の贖となり、其光榮の誉と成らん為に賜はりたるなり。
15 For this reason, ever since I heard about your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all God's holy people,
故に我も、主イエズスに於る汝等の信仰と、凡ての聖徒に對する愛情とを聞きて、
16 I have not stopped thanking God for you as I mention you in my prayers.
不絶汝等の為に感謝し、我祈祷の中に汝等を記念す。
17 I pray that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, will give to you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him.
祈る所は我主イエズス、キリストの神、光榮の父が、汝等に知識と黙示との霊を賜ひて神を識らしめ、
18 I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, that you may know the hope to which he has called you and the riches of his glorious inheritance among all God's holy people.
汝等の心の眼を明にして、其召によれる希望の如何を識らしめ、聖徒等に賜ふべき世嗣の光榮富の如何を識らしめ
19 In my prayers I ask that you may know the incomparable greatness of his power toward us who believe, according to the working of his great strength.
其全能の勢力の作為によりて、信奉る我等に於て、其勢力の如何に優れて偉大なるかを識らしめ給はん事是なり。
20 This is the same power that God worked in Christ when he raised him from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly places.
其勢力をキリストに於て顕し、之を死者の中より復活せしめ、天に於て之を己の右に置き、
21 He seated Christ far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and every name that is named. Christ will rule, not only in this age, but also in the age to come. (aiōn g165)
一切の権勢と能力と、勢力と主権との上、又凡て今世のみならず來世にも名けられて名[あるもの]の上に置き給ひ、 (aiōn g165)
22 God put all things under Christ's feet and gave him to the church as head over all things.
萬物を其御足の下に服せしめ、教會の萬事の上に頭となし給へり。
23 The church is his body, the fullness of him who fills all in all.
即ち教會はキリストの御體にして、萬物に萬事を満たし給へるものの充満ち給ふ所なり。
