Deuteronomy 25
1 If there is a dispute between men and they go to court, and the judges judge them, then they will acquit the righteous and condemn the wicked.
১যদি লোকসকলৰ মাজত বিবাদ হয় আৰু সেই বিবাদ আদালতলৈ নিয়া হয়, তেন্তে বিচাৰকসকলে বিচাৰ কৰি তেওঁলোকৰ নিৰ্দোষীক নিৰ্দোষ আৰু দোষীক দোষী কৰিব;
2 If the guilty man deserves to be beaten, then the judge will make him lie down and be beaten in his presence with the ordered number of blows, as was his crime.
২সেই বিচাৰত যদি দোষী প্ৰহাৰৰ যোগ্য হয়, তেন্তে বিচাৰকে তেওঁক মাটিত শুৱাই লৈ তাৰ দোষ অনুসাৰে হিচাপ কৰি নিজৰ সন্মুখতে তেওঁক কোবোৱাব।
3 The judge may give him forty blows, but he may not exceed that number; for if he should exceed that number and beat him with many more blows, then your fellow Israelite would be humiliated before your eyes.
৩বিচাৰকে তেওঁক চল্লিশ কোবৰ অধিক মৰাব নোৱাৰিব; তাৰ অধিক মাৰিলে এজন ইস্রায়েলীয়া ভাইক অাপোনালোকৰ আগত নীহ কৰা হ’ব।
4 You must not muzzle the ox when he treads out the grain.
৪শস্য মৰণা মাৰোঁতে গৰুৰ মুখত মোখোৰা নাবান্ধিব।
5 If brothers live together and one of them dies, not having any son, then the wife of the dead man must not be married off to someone else outside the family. Instead, her husband's brother must sleep with her and take her to himself as a wife, and do the duty of a husband's brother to her.
৫যদি ককাই-ভাইসকল একেলগে থাকে আৰু তেওঁলোকৰ মাজৰ এজন ভাই পুত্রহীন হৈ মৰে, তেন্তে সেই মৃতকৰ ভাৰ্য্যাই বাহিৰৰ আন পুৰুষক বিয়া কৰিব নোৱাৰিব; দেওৰেক বা বৰ-জনাই তাইক বিয়া কৰি কৰিব আৰু তাইৰ প্রতি দেওৰেক বা বৰ-জনাৰ কৰিবলগীয়া কর্তব্য পালন কৰিব।
6 This is so that the firstborn that she bears will succeed in the name of that man's dead brother, so that his name will not perish from Israel.
৬পাছত সেই মহিলাৰ ঔৰসত যি প্ৰথম সন্তান জন্ম হ’ব, তেওঁ সেই মৃত ভাইৰ নাম ৰক্ষা হ’ব আৰু সেই মৃত ভাইৰ নাম ইস্ৰায়েলৰ মাজৰ পৰা লুপ্ত হৈ নাযাব।
7 But if the man does not wish to take his brother's wife for himself, then his brother's wife must go up to the gate to the elders and say, 'My husband's brother refuses to raise up for his brother a name in Israel; he will not perform the duty of a husband's brother to me.'
৭কিন্তু সেই পুৰুষে যদি নিজ ভায়েক বা ককায়েকৰ তিৰোতাক গ্ৰহণ কৰিব নোখোজে, তেন্তে তাৰ ককায়েক বা ভায়েকৰ সেই তিৰোতাই নগৰৰ দুৱাৰ মুখলৈ বৃদ্ধ লোকসকলৰ ওচৰলৈ গৈ ক’ব, “মোৰ দেওৰ বা বৰজনাই ইস্ৰায়েলৰ মাজত নিজ ককায়েক বা ভায়েকৰ নাম ৰাখিবলৈ অসন্মত হৈছে; মোৰ প্রতি মোৰ দেওৰ বা বৰজনাই কৰিবলগীয়া কর্তব্য পালন কৰিবলৈ ইচ্ছুক নহয়।”
8 Then the elders of his city must call him and speak to him. But suppose that he insists and says, 'I do not wish to take her.'
৮তেতিয়া সেই নগৰৰ বৃদ্ধ লোকসকলে সেই পুৰুষক মাতি আনি বুজাব; ইয়াৰ পাছতো যদি তেওঁ দৃঢ়তাৰে কয় যে, “তাইক লবলৈ মোৰ ইচ্ছা নাই,”
9 Then his brother's wife must come up to him in the presence of the elders, take off his sandal from his foot, and spit in his face. She must answer him and say, 'This is what is done to the man who does not build up his brother's house.'
৯তেতিয়া তেওঁৰ ককায়েক বা ভায়েকৰ ভাৰ্য্যাই বৃদ্ধ লোকসকলৰ সাক্ষাতে দেওৰেক বা বৰজনাৰ গুৰিলৈ গৈ তেওঁৰ ভৰিৰ পৰা জোতা খুলি ল’ব আৰু তেওঁৰ মুখত থু পেলাই ক’ব, “নিজ ককাই বা ভাইৰ বংশ যি জনে ৰক্ষা কৰিবলৈ নিবিচাৰে, তেওঁৰ প্রতি এনে ব্যৱহাৰকে কৰা হয়।”
10 His name will be called in Israel, 'The house of him whose sandal has been taken off.'
১০ইস্ৰায়েলৰ মাজত সেই লোকৰ বংশ ‘জোতা-খোলা পুৰুষৰ বংশ’ বুলি প্ৰখ্যাত হ’ব।
11 If men fight with each other, and the wife of one comes to rescue her husband out of the hand of him who struck him, and if she stretches out her hand and takes him by the private parts,
১১দুজন লোকৰ মাজত কাজিয়া কৰাৰ সময়ত যদি এজনৰ ভাৰ্য্যাই তেওঁৰ স্বামীক আঘাত কৰা আন জনৰ হাতৰ পৰা ৰক্ষা কৰাৰ উদ্দেশ্যেৰে ওচৰলৈ আহে আৰু হাত মেলি আন লোকজনৰ গুপুত অঙ্গ ধৰে,
12 then you must cut off her hand; your eye must have no pity.
১২তেতিয়া অাপোনালোকে তাইৰ হাত কাটি পেলাব; তাইলৈ আপোনালোকে কোনো দয়া নেদেখুৱাব।
13 You must not have in your bag different weights, a large and a small.
১৩আপোনালোকৰ মোনাত যেন সৰু আৰু ডাঙৰ দুই ৰকমৰ দগা নাথাকে।
14 You must not have in your house different measures, a large and a small.
১৪আপোনালোকৰ ঘৰত সৰু আৰু ডাঙৰ দুই ধৰণৰ জোখৰ পাত্র যেন নাথাকে।
15 A perfect and just weight you must have; a perfect and just measure you must have, so that your days may be long in the land that Yahweh your God is giving you.
১৫আপোনালোকৰ ঈশ্বৰ যিহোৱাই আপোনালোকক যি দেশ দিব, সেই দেশত আপোনালোকৰ আয়ুস দীঘল হ’বৰ কাৰণে আপোনালোকে সঠিক আৰু ন্যায় দগা, সঠিক আৰু ন্যায় জোখৰ পাত্র ৰাখিব লাগিব।
16 For all who do such things, all that act unrighteously, are an abomination to Yahweh your God.
১৬কাৰণ, যেয়ে এই সকলো কাৰ্য কৰে অর্থাৎ সকলো ধৰণৰ অধার্মিক কার্য কৰে, আপোনালোকৰ ঈশ্বৰ যিহোৱাই তেওঁক ঘৃণা কৰে।
17 Call to mind what Amalek did to you on the road as you came out of Egypt,
১৭আপোনালোক মিচৰ দেশৰ পৰা ওলাই আহোঁতে বাটত অমালেকীয়াসকলে আপোনালোকৰ সৈতে যি কৰিছিল, তাক সোঁৱৰণ কৰক।
18 how he met you on the road and attacked those of you at the rear, all who were feeble in your rear, when you were faint and weary; he did not honor God.
১৮আপোনালোক শ্রান্ত আৰু ক্লান্ত হৈ থকা অৱস্থাত যি দুর্বল লোকসকল পাছত গৈ আছিল, কেনেকৈ তেওঁলোকে বাটত লগ পাই আক্রমণ কৰিছিল, তাক সোঁৱৰণ কৰক। তেওঁলোকে ঈশ্বৰক ভয় কৰা নকৰিছিল।
19 Therefore, when Yahweh your God has given you rest from all your enemies round about, in the land that Yahweh your God is giving you to possess as an inheritance, you must not forget that you must blot out the remembrance of Amalek from under heaven.
১৯এই হেতুকে, আপোনালোকৰ ঈশ্বৰ যিহোৱাই যি দেশ উত্তৰাধিকাৰ স্বৰূপে অধিকাৰ কৰিবলৈ আপোনালোকক দিবলৈ গৈছে, সেই দেশত আপোনালোকৰ চাৰিওফালে থকা সকলো শত্রুবোৰৰ পৰা তেওঁ যেতিয়া আপোনালোকক বিশ্ৰাম দিব, তেতিয়া আকাশৰ তলৰ পৰা অমালেকীয়াসকলৰ চিন আপোনালোকে একেবাৰে মছি পেলাব লাগিব। এই কথা আপোনালোকে নাপাহৰিবা।
